It's nice that all of the machines are operating but I'm not sure they should be. I had to run two cycles to actually get the soap out. It ended up being an expensive and very long experience. It didn't help that the place was very hot and had flies circling everywhere. Pretty much everyone had to try and find shade outside to stand in or sit in their cars with the AC running. Cozy laundromat with several options for laundry load size; however, many machines are out of order. So, you may want to plan your trip here when it isn't super busy. Keep in mind some of the machines do not allow dog/pet beds to be washed. Particularly, the front loading washers. You may want to look at other laundromats if you need to wash pet beds. On a positive note, it's nice to have a coin operated laundromat available for those who do not want to download an app, etc. Having folks scan a QR code is suspicious as it can be easily manipulated to breach your sensitive data. Prices are reasonable. The big drawback is the volume of unusable machines. read more

I ran errands today in Carmichael, and had a large blanket cleaned while shopping. Upon entering this location, I noticed how clean and tidy everything was. "Mia", the caretaker had everything clean and ready to be utilized by the next customer. Very professional indeed !! Oh.... I frequent this laundromat due to location and variety of washers. The older white guy who works there is extremely rude to women and gets upset when he has to leave his office when there are issues with the washers or dryers. Nobody told him to make poor life choices that leave him working at a laundromat during his golden years. This place is fine as long as you don't need anything from the employees. read more

The staff was nice, premises clean, and a good location. The machines are priced fairly at $1.50 for regular top load. The dryers get hot. Hopefully the number of machines including some of the regular top loaders that were out of order will be repaired on my next visit. Unfortunately, for the size of the facility a lot of the machines were out of order in August 2023 last there. read more

First laundry mat I've came to besides my apartment complex, but really needed to wash my comforter that was to big for my washer. This place was the closest so came to try it out. They have change machines since the machines are quarters only, a little market where you can my laundry washing necessities, free wi-fi, a super clean bathroom, fans and AC. Today was 90 degrees out so I'm thankful this is definitely NOT a stuffy place like some I've been before. I also love the huge dryers for 25 cents. Area is super clean, worker was super nice, and so were the people here/ environment! read more

This place was pretty nice. There were lots of machines to choose from and ones of different sizes depending on your load. There was also free wifi and vending machines which made the waiting of laundry not too bad. The only negatives I would have are that there was no ac which made it a little warm and the staff wasn't necessarily mean, but there weren't very friendly. Still would come back, made my many loads very easy to do! read more

I recently started going here again b/c I had a long term experience with this location previously living in the neighborhood. I had been here recently, (past 2-3 months) where masks were not being worn by customers, I asked the young person working about it, and how they are addressing customers about it. At the time, the person working made mention to other customers not being mindful of masks, to please put them on. All went well and I thanked the person working. Just over a month ago, I went to Suds Factory to dry my clothes, noticing the person behind the counter wearing the mask around their chin conversing with a customer ( whom pulled their mask off and shoved into their pocket as I approached). I waited & asked the person behind the counter how they might be addressing customers without masks as I was using this as a gauge where I should spend money. The customer, tells me they removed the mask "because they were hot". I again asked the person working behind the counter if they were taking any measures with Covid and mask wearing. I mentioned the mandate and made mention that I'm using how businesses respond to masks as a guide to where I spend money. The person working, made mention that I should then look at spending my money elsewhere. I was taking pictures & the person behind the counter stated they were going to call the police & to leave their shop. I left after this interaction, having 5 mins left on the dryer, though wish I would have stayed to see if the police actually showed up, and what on earth would have been the reasoning to warrant the call. I will make mention, after the customer told me they "took of the mask b/c they were hot" , I told them I found that to be a lazy excuse & wondered if they would feel different if a family member passed from covid. Though hardly feel a police call is warranted. I recognize this is a unique experience and time we are in. I by no means expecting anything, or any business to be 100%, ( it's just a lot to manage) BUT! this experience felt like any sort of concern for health of customers was completely ignored. Grateful for the experience (& glad I didn't get covid!) with Suds Factory, as I've found a laundromat closer to my home, cheaper, AND also concerned for the health of their customers. read more

I cannot believe I have to write this review but the heavy set blonde lady is extremely rude and I don't want to say racist but she definitely judges you off your skin! So I pull up to the laundry mat today 1/22 at aprox 1:45pm I reverse my car to the door then go to get change before bringing my laundry and my toddler child in as I always do. This lady insist that I must bring my laundry in first and we don't just give change to homeless/regular people. Mind you I'm far from homeless just black and dressed down ... my Mercedes Benz truck is reversed to the door I tell her that's my car and I come here every week YOU just haven't seen me she then says I'm giving you your five dollars back and don't come in unless you have laundry! Now I could've proved her right by bringing in my laundry but after being humiliated of course I didn't want to give them my business. Anyhow I'm on my way to another laundry mat to finish my laundry but first I'm across the street washing my car. I've attached photo as proof! I have generally been washing my clothing here for a few months, and the machines are always nice and clean. However, the older man that is here on Saturday afternoons is horribly rude. I asked him two questions today- and both times he rolled his eyes at me and treated me badly. I was only asking about exiting from the rear of the establishment. Unfortunately, his attitude towards me is unforgivable. I hope that others will see this review and not come- as he is horribly rude, always sits behind the desk, and I rarely see him actually 'doing' anything. He seemed very angry that I was asking him a question when he was watching tv behind the desk. Horrible customer service by this elder man. read more

I have done my laundry here but not today. On my last visit I was watching the (4) $3.50 machines on the last row after I so affectionately tucked my beautiful cloths evenly in the sideloaders. I stood there and watched the whole 23 minute cycle for all four and I am so glad that I did. The 1st machine does the cycle (rock, wash, rest, wash, rest eventually spinning) but the rock wash rest, the wash is a double action water thrusting wash that really deep wash your cloths. I was a lil irritated to SEE the other (3) sideloaders did not aspire to the above ... never ever hitting the "cycle" You can see. You should see ... see the difference in the Suds of one machine that works (with one pod) and the 'bubbles' in the other (3) machines using two pods. Ikr. The machine that hits all (4) cycles definitely worth $3.50while I actually paid attention I realize I have been paying full price for a half*** wash with absolutely no cycles and I decided next time I go [there] I will only use one machine ... goyourself. Its not about the price but the principle: what makes those machines that dont go thru the four cycles worth $3.50? read more

This is our fav laundry mat. It's not far from home. It's affordable and clean. The older gentleman that works there in the mornings is very pleasant. There is an African American man there who is also very sweet and helpful. Both have made myself and my kids feel welcome. This past Sunday I went in with my kids about 815pm with a few loads of laundry. And immediately caught attitude from the man on duty. He told us the washers on one side are closed at 8:30pm. Which I was fine with, surprised but whatever, fine. We load our stuff and begin to walk outside. The man stops us and tells us not to be gone long or he will lock us out. Now, here is the issue with his intrusion. There were 2 or 3 other families washing during this time and they were all sitting outside! He didn't bother them about being outside, only us! I don't care about being treated badly but when you treat kids like shit and ruin their day that's pretty effed up. Idk if he wanted to leave work early or what but my kids felt discriminated against. Even as we were loading the car, the kids noticed him staring angrily behind me as he locked the door at 9:40pm. I didn't get his name because I didn't want to aggravate him anymore than he was. The two stars are for the other guys who treat their customers with respect. read more

I always come here to do laundry. It is always clean and the owners are very nice. Flat screen TV's and if it's slow in there the owner will ask me what I'd like to watch. The restroom is clean and they always have free coffee and donuts and a whole shelf of current magazines and books. Love doing laundry here. read more

Best coin up laundry I have ever been in. Everything was immaculate. Has on-site attendants who where pleasant and helpful. An example is after I was finished I started carrying out my baskets. When I turned around at the car i almost bumped into the attendant who was carrying one of my baskets. I hadn't asked for it and didn't know he was doing it but I sure appreciated it. The attendant also provides change for the machines and also sells snacks at very reasonable prices. No ripping off of a captive clientele. read more

I've never been to this Laundromat before and most of my experiences in utilizing them when needed have been average at best. However here at Suds Factory, the attendant who I believe is the owner as well was very nice and helpful. I'm a Army Veteran and washing clothes though I do so on a regular basis is not my forte in terms of knowing the inner tricks of the trade in how to efficiently wash my clothes and bedding/comforters which is primarily why I patronized this establishment. I had a cat urine on a comforter and Loretta who I believe is the owner was kind enough to explain to me how to get the smell out (vinegar and peroxide) in addition to the soap power I was using. In addition she was very kind, cheerful and approachable. Sort of like the people you meet at church actually. So I was very comfortable being here. I couldn't be more happier, the establishment is CLEAN, you can purchase cleaning supplies on-site, there is an abundance of available washers, "several" types of large scale high capacity washers (which I personally have never seen before), generally my experience is they'll have large washers and regular top loading machines, and thats it. However at Suds Factory they've got several sizes of large capacity washers depending on what your needs are which further re-emphasizes that you won't go wrong if you just need to wash your own personal clothes or your comforters (or BOTH). They've also got Free WiFi so you can watch Hulu or Netflix while you're waiting and its close by to McDonalds, Carls Jr or KFC if you're in need of a snack (less than a block away). So 2 thumbs up for Suds Factory, and definitely 5 stars, you won't be disappointed coming here. Oh I forgot to mention that they have air conditioning as well and it's summer, hot outside but nice and cool inside. read more

I believe the mans name was Jason... but he was a lifesaver. I hadn't been to a laundry mat before and he didn't hesitate to help my mom and I out. He asked a number of times if everything was going okay. He kept the whole place Immaculate. There wasn't any lint, dirt or clothes anywhere. He also sold us some plastic bags that saved our night. Far and away the best laundromat I've ever had the pleasure of using. Friendly staff, super clean machines, plenty of room to fold your clothes. I expect these things in any facility but Suds Factory goes above and beyond. Flat screen TVs, free donuts and coffee, a reading library, public restroom and staff that are always helpful, courteous, and cleaning. At every other laundromat I've been to, I've always brought disinfectant wipes to clean the tables. I don't have to do that here. Also a big shout out to Loretta and staff. They are not only friendly, but they remember you by name and remember what you talked about the last time you were there. With all the amenities they offer and their friendly attitude, they manage to turn doing laundry from a chore to an enjoyable experience. read more

This place is the best. They have a ton of machines and it's clean every time I go in there. One day I forgot my coins so what they did was let me use my card to get cash back so I wouldn't have to go find somewhere to get coins. They have a little "library" in the corner and free WiFi. my bf and i have been going to this laundromat for a while and have had pretty good experiences... up until the last time. there was a man there that we hadn't seen before. either a new employee or manager - white guy with light hair, about 6ft tall. as soon as we walked in and went to get quarters, he immediately came up to us and started hassling us about how the quarters were for customers only and was being very aggressive. we told him that we were customers and that we always get our quarters first before bringing our laundry in. he rudely told us to read the sign. there was a sign up saying that in order to prove we were customers we had to bring our laundry in with us before getting quarters. this has never been an issue before. that initial encounter rubbed me the wrong way, but we were already there so decided to stay and do our laundry. after everything was in the washer, we left for about 30 minutes and when we came back, as soon as we pulled up, the same guy came outside and yelled to us from the front door that he had put our laundry in the dryer and we owed him $3. WE HAD CLOTHES THAT WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE DRIED. upon finding some of our clothing shrunken and faded, we became very upset, but decided to just bite our tongues and just get the hell out of there asap. i have never heard of any employee taking it upon themselves to touch someone else's clothes and move it into the dryer, especially since the store still had an hour and a half until closing and had plenty of time left to come back and transfer our own belongings out of the washer. i don't know how this guy got hired here, but something is very off about him and we will never come back. he gave off a very hostile energy and would be watching the customers like a hawk every second. such a shame because this place is right by our house, but convenience is not worth being treated this way. read more
