They were very efficient and clean. The housekeeper was so very helpful above and beyond her call of duty.

Absolutely awful! I recommend paying more and going somewhere else. Made a reservation by phone. When I arrived, they had no record of it. They did find availability but the price was 20% higher. When I told them what I had been promised over the phone. They were unwilling to acknowledge it. This is a dive by the side of the road. Almost like an annex to the gas station. Creekside Lodge is wonderful. I am going to say more, but everyone should know first off that this place is wonderful! The room, with one Queen bed, is spacious and open. The bed itself is incredibly comfortable; much nicer than my own bed. Very new A/C and heater unit lets you keep the room feeling just right. As for the location? Beautiful! The lodge *is* next to a creek, so it's not just a clever name. The woods right behind the lodge are teeming with wildlife; birds of all kinds, lizards, squirrels, all there for you to watch and enjoy. Spending time on any one of the benches, chairs, or swings gives you a great way to relax and simply enjoy nature. In all, I can only say good things about Creekside Lodge. Clean, reasonably priced, no frills, but has everything you need for a day or two. Comfortable beds and nice sheets. Pet friendly as a party bonus. Good store right across the parking lot has anything you might forget at home. We usually stay in Lakeport, but everything was filled up because of the fair. This is was a good alternative, even if it's a bit out of town. read more

Lied to us from reservations to checkout. Told us the motel was completely full then gave us a smoking room when every room in the place was available. Charged us $300 deposit for our 5 lb dog. Nobody in the office the entire time of our stay. Had to return after 10:30 a.m. to get a receipt from the mini-mart out front and then had to accompany the employee for an inspection of the room before I could get my deposit receipt showing the deposit was void. Even picked up a nail in our vehicle tire due to their remodeling. Absolutely hated this place and will never return. read more

There are not a lot of choices in this area for lodging so I have actually stayed at this place 3 times. What I found the most interesting over the course of my stays here was the variety of people that seemed to be running this place yet it seemed like each persons first day every encounter. Two times to check in I had to go to the gas station nearby in order to get the key or to return the key. The last time I was checking in the woman, who also cleans the room, was at the gas station. I asked if I could check in and she stated she would be right over. Im not exaggerating she took 15 minutes to respond where she sent another man to do the reservation. The man asked if I was checking in? Um no I just felt like waiting here. I bite my tongue and say yes. He is clueless about how to check me in although he was using paper and pen. He had to be assisted by another man to fill out a paper. After the paper was filled out he had to check the room. Another 15 minutes went by.....Lets just say I will not be back. I am not sure what the deal is with this place but it sucks and overpriced. Should be more like $45 a night. read more

I've stayed at this hotel a few times. I stayed June 28th and paid $186 for my room and 2 dogs, one service not charged the other is NOT a service dog so I paid for him which is correct. slight side note; its a pain in the ass to get anyone to answer the phone so you just drive up and end up going to the gas station to get someone to help you. This time I had another guy I didn't see the last week. My total for ONE dog same room, less clean $236 WTF?!?!?! When did this become the Marriott? let me elaborate on the less clean portion, i had frogs, spiders, and bed bugs as my unpaid guests. As he is filling out my paper work he comments on my age and how great I look and fit, normally this would be fine, whatever, give me my key but he was extremely creepy. He followed that by asking if my boyfriend or husband with be joining me while making less than appropriate eye contact . What is this? the bates motel. I told him that i only had one dog this trip and he was a service dog, he charged me anyway for having him which I was fully prepared to show my doctors RX but no need he was gonna charge me regardless. Upon finishing this very lengthy check in where he wrote my ENTIRE credit card number on a carbon copy paper (i got one copy thankfully i didn't loose it and I am sure my financial adviser will find that interesting ) he told me where his room was, in case i needed anything at all through the evening, ANYTHING, eyebrow raised. He goes to bed at 10. I slept with a gun that night. I will not return. EVER. I am shocked they have not been sued, put out of business, or shut down. When I stayed in 2012 for an event it was much better ran, cleaner, and the grounds better kept. The area that is designated to potty your dogs is full of stickers and over grown. read more

Bed bugs! Don't go here! So nasty. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know poor service and bedbugs in there rooms

This place is the worst. They did not give me a copy of the agreement or what so ever. Then, the lady called me stating that I'm smoking inside the room when I did not. She said it's in the copy of our agreement that I received and charged me $100 extra. I informed her that I did not smoke and I did not sign any agreement nor receiving a copy of anything beside my receipt. A month later when I dispute this problem with my bank, the lady called me and said that we have talked about it. I told her that first I did not smoke. Second, I did not receive any agreement or paperwork. She stated that she can give me the agreement if I want. I said what's the point? The agreement need to be signed and hand it to the customer before check-in. Second, I have a male manager who checked me in on the first night to go through the room and smelled the room. He said its fine and he will tell the lady in the morning about it so I don't get charged $100. Still did. I'm reporting/file a complaint about this to Better Business Bureau so they can do an investigation on this business. I'm sure there are more people out there who has problems with this place. It's the worst place to be. I will never come back to this place again. By the way, the lady who called me claimed herself to be a manager, she's very rude and unprofessional. Nope this is the first and the last I'll ever stay in that nasty motel. read more

Wish Yelp would have a zero rating Don't stay here for the operation has changed drastically. Over the years I take my boat to go fishing on Clearlake and have stayed at Creakside Lodge. Never had any problems. Must be under new ownership. I called 4 times throughout the day to make reservations and no one answered the phone. Then I called Kits Corner store that is connected to the Lode. I had to call Kits 6 times before they walked over to get the person in charge of the hotel. Ya, finally made my reservations. 48 hr notice to cancel a reservation. 2 days prior to my check in date I called 8 times. Each time I called no answer and the outgoing message only said leave a message. No mention of Creekside Lodge or anything. Same issue the next day. I left a message in fact several and asked to be called back. No call back. Finally at 4:15 P.M. a guy answers the phone. I told him of the issues and therefore I should not be charged full price for canceling. I tried 3 times to ask a question and half way through the question each time I was interrupted. This is very rude. I think they make more money on canceled reservations. P.S. My wife and I travel all the time for years and everywhere we go there is a 24 hr cancellation policy not 28 hrs. I am talking from motel 6 to 4 and 5 star hotels. read more
