A special shout-out to the Black lady working the graveyard shift at hotel registration. Sorry for using your race but since I didn't get her name, I'm wanted to make sure she got her appropriate complement. She was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Her recommendation to visit Grinder's Coffee was excellent, and her customer service made a great first impression. I stayed on the second floor near the highway and found the room clean, spacious, and comfortable. Amenities included a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, and free guest coffee. The shower stood out for its strong water pressure and consistent hot water. The casino was less appealing to me, as it mainly featured slot machines with only a few table games and limited tables open. I was also disappointed that the UFC fights weren't shown at the bar despite the channel being available on the property. The Coke fountain drinks on-site were a nice touch. The snack bar exceeded expectations, especially the pizza, though I wasn't impressed with the restaurant. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would return for the hotel accommodations if I am ever in Lake County. I am very disappointed in this hotel, upon arrival there was a couple at counter, so I stood behind them over 10 mins waiting & then another employee who was standing behind the desk asks my husband who was standing over by the unopened register if he wanted to check in?? WTF? I said no he doesn't but I do.. I mean don't you take the next person in line, she didn't know he was with me, & me being black & him not, I can't help but feel that was intentional. I mean who does that??? So we check in, the room was fine, but the restaurant closed at 1030 & only pizza available after then. Depite the menu showing other items.. Next the hotel is non-smoking but they allow smoking in the casino.. very gross, really ruined the night, most casinos have non-smoking sections. These people are complete rip-offs. They've charged me twice now for $149.00. The first time, they claimed I took a blanket from the closet, which I didn't do. The second time, they accused me of taking towels, which is ridiculous. They give away free rooms and then charge you afterward with bogus charges which is completely unreasonable. It's almost in the middle of nowhere, and they still charge a resort fee even though there's no pool or hot tub. The rooms are run-down and dirty, so it's literally a joke. Hotel charged me 2 nights for suite. Only stayed one night which was comped. $1200. was taken from my act. NO ONE in there work station seemed to care. 5 days to wait for the money to be returned. Which took 7 days. Along came my HERO, casino Host (Heather) heard of this disaster. Bank froze my debit card, because of their mistake. Attitude with people I notified of this problem, just said well you'll just have to wait out the week. That was all the money I had. Not a happy customer. We needed a place to eat near our Airbnb, and this was it. It's clean and attractive but our experience could have been better. The restaurant was not busy as we were there for an early light supper. Nevertheless it took us an hour and a half to get our meal! I guess there was some mix-up in the kitchen. Our poor waitress was terribly embarrassed and did her best, but the food did not come. I do not recommend the clam chowder. Though the flavor of the broth was good, the cook put two large chunks of potato in my bowl, so there was no room for the soup. That was a first, disappointed. I was finally able to get her to tell me that a 2 queen room on a Tuesday night would cost me $254! This place is small and the food options are VERY limited. 1 mediocre restaurant and a tiny snack bar staffed by slow, unfriendly individuals...both with limited hours. I then called Robinson Rancheria and their rates for the same night were $144. I also called Cache Creek (large gambling area, multiple food options, covered parking) and found their rate for the for the same night is $189. Twin Pine is grossly overpriced for what you get. read more

What nice rooms they have. Up until now I use to only gamble at the casino because years ago I was a local in Clearlake. The rooms are really big. Lots of space I was pleasantly surprised. We usually stay at konocti because the rooms are more affordable but after receiving 2 free nights for twin pines I think we will pay the extra to stay. Check in- this is our second stay. Julianna ( hope I spelt that right ) checked us in both times. She is so dang friendly and so sweet!! Like yay for great customer service!! Because of covid people are more grumpy. She let us pick which floor we wanted and when we mentioned the crying babies last time she said she would be mindful about putting babies next to us. ( not that we are anti babies it was just a nice touch she would keep us in mind). Oh did I mention they are non smoking due to covid yeeess!!! Smoke free it's so nice let me tell ya!! They went back to allowing smokers - boy is it smokey in here - cough, cough!! It is still a nice little casino - however, we do not win here like we do at other casinos in Northern California. The staff are always friendly and courteous. The little food station needs some work - you don't really have much of a choice for snacks or eats. The restaurant needs to be open 24 hrs. Experience had some perks and some pitfalls. I will say your staff is amazing! On the floor and at front desk of hotel. I also enjoyed the live music in the restaurant Sunday morning. However, I was told when I got there they were short staffed with housekeepers so no late checkouts. No problem. I had been traveling from a sweaty all day bday party and really needing a shower and to release my bladder. They accommodated me on the wait list as I traveled and set me up in a room. The issue was it was someone else's room I walked into. There were sets of flip flops in bathroom and a cooler in living room with personal bags on the counters and bathroom tooth cleaning kits on the sink. My bladder screaming I went back down to lobby and the staff were mortified and eventually gave me a fresh room and 10% off. They had said the people had checked out yesterday. Hmmm and left allll of their stuff? Are they alive??? I hope so or the room got booked and somehow not in the system or indeed the housekeeping staff is so overwhelmed they missed cleaning that room and marked it clean? I don't know. And I don't want to get anyone in trouble. However, I've never had this experience in my life. And in the end all is well. So I went here twice, once on the morning of Thanksgiving when I was heading into Clearlake and once when leaving on Saturday morning. Even though it's a casino I didn't come here to gamble, just because I know that the chances of winning are low. What I did come for was breakfast, because I know casinos have a reputation for making good food. We ended up going to their little snack shack. The first time we got there too early and all they had was Breakfast sandwiches and Burritos. The burritos were huge and very tasty, and the sandwiches were nice and cheesy. They also had really good complimentary Coffee, and they have syrups to make flavored Lattes, which are very tasty. Given that it was thanksgiving and that I knew I would be eating later, I didn't want to go crazy. But I noticed that they had a variety of pies, such as Passion Fruit pie and already pre made sandwiches and some salads. On Saturday we came by later and the kitchen was open and breakfast was available, we got Biscuits & Gravy, their classic Breakfast, a breakfast sandwich, has browns and their pasta salad. All of it was tasty and very affordable if I might add. It total it was $26 for all 3 of us to eat. I also noticed that all of the food in the counter area had changed, all the Passion fruit pie was gone and replaced by Pumpkin and two pieces of Cherry pie which were under a discount section. They also had a variety of other pre made meals, like Chile Rellenos, macaroni with red sauce and some other items that skip my mind. This is a hostile, unsafe place that I went to for the last time tonight. I smoke a vape pen and apparently it looks like a pen that could also be used with marijuana. It isn't, it's nicotine, cherry flavored and it's my guilty pleasure at a casino that permits smoking. I have been harassed multiple times about this pen despite speaking with their security and management team, showing them the pen, letting them evaluate it, and then cleared me and said the harassment would stop. Tonight when I was confronted by a new security guard named Aaron I politely asked him to check with his boss before threatening to "kick me out for 30 days". Despite my explanation and asking him to check with his boss, he was hostile. I showed him the pen and he said it smelled like marijuana. I pointed out there was no marijuana symbol on the cartridge and it was cherry flavored nicotine he again threatened to eject me from the casino. I left. I'm no expert on vape pens, but they come in many shapes and sizes and half the people in there were using them. I don't notice any odor from any of them so I don't know why they singled me out. However, given the aggressive manner he approached and confronted me in and the fact that I have gone out of my way to avoid misunderstanding about this pen by proactively discussing it with the manager of security, Brian, I think too many of the people working there are nasty and love demonstrating their authority to the guests. I've never given a review that advises caution of the employees and the business. This is a first as here, I think, there's a danger of over aggressive behavior by employees who seem to enjoy exercising the tiny power they have and threaten the guests. It just was unreasonable, unnecessary, incorrect, and the last time I'm going to let this place ruin my evening. I'd rather go to Konocti where there is no smoking or vaping allowed, but at least it's a fun environment without hostile employees who create an unsafe feeling. It's 15 minutes further, but I've never had a bad time there and I believe their machines pay better. I'll miss my cherry vape while playing, but not enough to go back to Twin Pines. read more
