It has taken me too long to share this review! My daughter came here for 3 years (age 2-5) & we LOVED it. There are several things that I really appreciated: **The staff & teachers are all very warm & caring with the kids as well as understanding & informative with the parents **The facility is the cleanest of all the preschools I toured **Lunch is not served on styrofoam plates - I know this is a common thing among preschools, but it really bugs me...Creekside's lunches are served in sectioned aluminum trays that help keep the food warm until it gets to the kids **They potty trained my daughter! I'm sure every kid is different but they did so well with her that we didn't have to do anything except maintain what they taught at home **Despite what their one 1-star Yelp review complained about, I felt my daughter was totally kindergarten ready - I've attached pictures of her report card to share all the topics that are included in their academic curriculum **Super cute holiday activities & awesome summer onsite field trips (which we appreciate for safety reasons) & this year they've started an annual recital! **Optional weekly homework to enhance what they've learned (only takes about 10 minutes to finish all pages) Note on access: Previously, you could only drop off your kid at the front door due to COVID, but now you get a key fob to open the door & walk your kid in. I recommend making sure you know what you're going to do with their artwork ahead of time...there is a LOT. I can't thank Ms. Grace, Ms. Francesca, & all of my daughter's wonderful, patient teachers enough for their care - we miss you all so! If you are looking for a montessori preschool in this area, you MUST tour this one!

My youngest started in the infant class, and my older daughter started in Pre-K and has since moved up to TK. It's been so nice watching them grow, learn, and become comfortable and confident at school. The teachers and staff are all so friendly, warm, and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about the children and families. The facility is clean and welcoming. I like the curriculum that they offer and am impressed with how much my daughters learn each day. I also love that they offer so many extracurricular activities. My girls have really enjoyed being able to participate in the "Tutu Time" and tumbling specifically, it's something they look forward to every week. As a parent, it means so much to know that my daughters are somewhere they feel happy, safe, and cared for. My kids are very shy yet they feel comfortable with the staff and other students. We're very grateful for all of the teachers and staff at Montessori of Walnut and for the positive experience our family has had here. We toured ALL the Montessori schools in the area (there are several) and this was our top pick. I would definitely recommend MOW to other families!

Looking back, I only wish it had been the first because it would have saved us so much time. The moment we walked in, we knew it was different. We've now been bringing our kids here for about two years. Our daughter started when she was just 1 1/2 years old, and when our son reached the same age, there was no question where he would be going. The teachers and staff are incredibly professional, caring, and respectful. It's obvious they genuinely care about each child and create a warm, welcoming environment every day. The facility is always spotless, well organized, and you can tell they take great pride in maintaining a safe and clean space for the kids. One thing that really sets Montessori of Walnut apart is everything they offer beyond the classroom. They have on-campus swimming with a certified instructor who also offers private lessons, fun themed events throughout the year, guest speakers, and so many engaging extracurricular activities that keep the children excited and learning in new ways. Most importantly, our kids absolutely love going to school every morning. They've learned so much over the past two years, and it's been amazing to watch their confidence and independence grow. The teachers are currently helping our oldest with potty training, and they've been incredibly patient, supportive, and consistent throughout the process. Another thing we appreciate is the location. It's tucked away from busy streets and public traffic, which gives it a quiet, safe, and peaceful feel that's perfect for young children. Choosing a preschool is a big decision for any parent, and we're so thankful we found Montessori of Walnut. If you're looking for a clean, caring, and enriching Montessori program with an outstanding staff, I highly recommend giving them a tour. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

Ms Shiela was excellent in introducing both my daughters to writing/math/reading at the beginning of the year. She was able to identify different needs for each of my daughters and created a plan for us to follow at home to reinforce what was being taught at school. The time I had with Ms Shiela in the teacher parent meetings showed me that she really cared about her students and treated them as if they were her own. I am so impressed with my daughters' growth throughout the year; seeing the work they did in class and also the activities they have and are doing now at home is just amazing. A Preschool Filled with Heart and Faith!…read more Kid Junction has truly been such a blessing to our family. Our oldest daughter started here when she was just two and a half, and now our second daughter has gone through the same journey -- and we're already excited to send our youngest soon! What makes Kid Junction so special is the people. Every teacher pours so much love, time, and intention into the kids. They create fun, hands-on activities, celebrate holidays with so much joy, and keep parents updated every step of the way. You can tell this is a place where faith and care guide everything they do. Both of our girls had Miss Sandy, who is truly the best person to care for 2-year-olds -- patient, nurturing, and full of joy. Then they had Miss Susan, who is the sweetest! She helps build confidence in each child and makes every day special (my daughter loves when she pulls out her spray bottle and hair ties to give her a cute little hairstyle!). We also adore Miss Eileen, who does a wonderful job preparing the kids for Kinder she's a TK teacher -- she's caring, creative, and the children can't wait to be in her class. And Miss Belinda made those early toddler days so special with fun morning activities that set the tone for a happy day. We loved it so much that we decided to keep our daughters here for TK instead of going to elementary because we knew they would get the care and elevated education prior to going to Kinder. My daughters assessment going into kindergarten, she scored very high on the skills for this grade. It was an easy transition and she thought kinder was too easy she kept asking for more hw!! And holding it all together is Miss Clara, director -- she has the most tender heart and genuine love for children. We've known her for five years now, and her care shines through in everything she does -- her communication, the way she supports the teachers, and the way she continues to check in and send us updates. Overall I'm always blown away how clean everything is! So organized and clean which demonstrates the teachers diligence in providing a safe and modeled classroom. We are so thankful for Kid Junction. It's more than just a preschool -- it's a loving, faith-filled community that feels like family.

I can genuinely say we have loved our experience here and both of my boys have absolutely thrived! From the Montessori-style independent learning and social environment to all the fun add-on classes like golf, dance, gymnastics, sports, and more, I've always loved how BSMA gives the kids so many different opportunities to learn, explore and just enjoy being kids. Both of my sons are pretty social, especially my oldest, and I truly believe BSMA played such an important role in building his confidence and social skills. He grew SO much during his time here, not only academically but as a person. And the teachers!!! When I say we have loved ALL of our teachers, I really mean it -- both the current teachers and some who have since moved on. They have always been so thoughtful, kind, patient, and genuinely caring toward our kids. What I'm always so impressed by, was the way teachers/director remembered every student's name, including students that weren't in their class. A huge shoutout to Ms. Mary, Ms. Brianna, Ms. Adrienne, Ms. Olivia, Ms. Kayenne, Ms. Saide, Ms. Valerie, Ms. Malorie, Ms. Bethzay, Ms. Yu, and ofc Ms. Jin! Ms. Jin was actually one of my oldest son's former teachers and is now the director, which makes it even more special. One thing I will mention is that the structure and facility are a little different from a traditional classroom setting. It's much more open and the kids have opportunities to interact and socialize with one another throughout the school. I know that might not be everyone's preference, but I actually LOVED that about BSMA. I really think it contributed to how social and confident my kids became. My thought was always: they're going to spend Kinder through high school sitting in more traditional classrooms, so why not let their first educational experience be somewhere fun, creative, open, and different? Academically, I also feel BSMA gave my oldest such a strong foundation going into elementary school. He entered Kinder incredibly prepared, to the point where I sometimes feel like he isn't being challenged as much now because he already learned so much at BSMA! That really speaks to what a phenomenal job they did preparing him. Another thing I really appreciate is how well they keep parents updated through ClassDojo. Throughout the day, we get photos and detailed updates about what the kids are learning and doing, what they ate, restroom updates, and more. The teachers will often include lengthy descriptions explaining the activities and what the kids are learn/play, which I've always appreciated. You really get a glimpse into your child's day instead of just dropping them off and wondering what they did for the day! I'm so grateful that Bright Star Montessori Academy is where both of my boys got to begin their educational journeys. It will always hold such a special place in our family's heart. I was really sad for my oldest to move on from BSMA but glad my youngest is still there.

The more time I have spent at my current daycare, I realize how sad I feel when I reflect back on when he was going here. This daycare is not nearly as warm as the daycare where my son spent his last 2 years. I remember when we first dropped off my son at this daycare, he was so scared and would cry a lot from the anxiety of leaving his parents. One of the suggestions that Ms. Toni said was not to carry him into the daycare and let him walk in. I'm not sure if this advise was to maybe make him less scared, but when I think back on that advise and how small my son was back then, it really makes me mad to even think that I took that advise as helpful. At 2 years old, a parent should definitely not feel like they can't carry their scared son into their first daycare. I also remember Ms. Toni commented that my son was constantly wanting to sit on Ms. Kat's lap and that she couldn't have him do that so often. When I see the kids in my current daycare, kids are on the laps of the teachers all the time and all day, especially if they need some comfort since they are showing anxiety being away from their parents. This school was so callous compared to the school that my son is currently at and I remember how scared he always felt when going there, which makes me sad and the reason why I'm writing a 2nd review. I also mentioned in an earlier review that I hated dropping off my son in the morning due to one of the teachers (Ms. Wafaa). She was always so rude to me, which made me worry about my son having to spend the morning with her. I hope she's no longer there, but if she is, she really needs to improve her demeanor. It's always hard to know how bad someplace is until you leave and go someplace else, so I'm glad we only stayed here for one year.
