We are deeply grateful to WIM for the care and companionship you've given Aiden over the past two and a half years. I still remember when Aiden first joined--he was so little, a bit timid but also curious. Although he couldn't speak English then, thanks to the patient support from all the teachers, he quickly adapted and grew to love this new environment. I want to especially thank Ms. Farida and Ms. Mary for their love and companionship, which helped him adjust to school life so quickly. I'm also grateful to Ms. Mandy and Ms. Rabia for their support in both his studies and daily life. Most importantly, I want to thank Ms. Gie, Ms. Lydia, and Ms. Sabina for guiding and preparing him as he transitions to a new school. Today was Aiden's first day at his new school. He was confident, not afraid at all, and integrated smoothly into his new environment. I am truly thankful for all that WIM has done for my child and our family. His growth and progress would not have been possible without the love and encouragement he received from the WIM family. As a parent, I sincerely thank all the teachers for your care and patience, for empowering him with love, and helping him become the wonderful child he is today.

My daughter has so many sweet memories--from the daily classroom activities to the exciting summer events like the petting zoo and hula dancing. Honestly, I'm not sure who looked forward to those more--her or me! I really appreciate that the school is tucked away from busy streets, with private playgrounds that feel safe and secure. The whole campus is always very clean and well-organized, which speaks volumes about how much they care. One of the things I've valued the most is the daily communication. For three years straight, I received updates on how my daughter was doing--whether she napped, how much she ate, and even little notes if her behavior changed. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing her teachers were so attentive and proactive. I'm truly grateful for all the love, patience, and guidance the Montessori of Walnut staff has given our family. It's a special place that we'll always hold close to our hearts.

A Preschool Filled with Heart and Faith!…read more Kid Junction has truly been such a blessing to our family. Our oldest daughter started here when she was just two and a half, and now our second daughter has gone through the same journey -- and we're already excited to send our youngest soon! What makes Kid Junction so special is the people. Every teacher pours so much love, time, and intention into the kids. They create fun, hands-on activities, celebrate holidays with so much joy, and keep parents updated every step of the way. You can tell this is a place where faith and care guide everything they do. Both of our girls had Miss Sandy, who is truly the best person to care for 2-year-olds -- patient, nurturing, and full of joy. Then they had Miss Susan, who is the sweetest! She helps build confidence in each child and makes every day special (my daughter loves when she pulls out her spray bottle and hair ties to give her a cute little hairstyle!). We also adore Miss Eileen, who does a wonderful job preparing the kids for Kinder she's a TK teacher -- she's caring, creative, and the children can't wait to be in her class. And Miss Belinda made those early toddler days so special with fun morning activities that set the tone for a happy day. We loved it so much that we decided to keep our daughters here for TK instead of going to elementary because we knew they would get the care and elevated education prior to going to Kinder. My daughters assessment going into kindergarten, she scored very high on the skills for this grade. It was an easy transition and she thought kinder was too easy she kept asking for more hw!! And holding it all together is Miss Clara, director -- she has the most tender heart and genuine love for children. We've known her for five years now, and her care shines through in everything she does -- her communication, the way she supports the teachers, and the way she continues to check in and send us updates. Overall I'm always blown away how clean everything is! So organized and clean which demonstrates the teachers diligence in providing a safe and modeled classroom. We are so thankful for Kid Junction. It's more than just a preschool -- it's a loving, faith-filled community that feels like family.

The more time I have spent at my current daycare, I realize how sad I feel when I reflect back on when he was going here. This daycare is not nearly as warm as the daycare where my son spent his last 2 years. I remember when we first dropped off my son at this daycare, he was so scared and would cry a lot from the anxiety of leaving his parents. One of the suggestions that Ms. Toni said was not to carry him into the daycare and let him walk in. I'm not sure if this advise was to maybe make him less scared, but when I think back on that advise and how small my son was back then, it really makes me mad to even think that I took that advise as helpful. At 2 years old, a parent should definitely not feel like they can't carry their scared son into their first daycare. I also remember Ms. Toni commented that my son was constantly wanting to sit on Ms. Kat's lap and that she couldn't have him do that so often. When I see the kids in my current daycare, kids are on the laps of the teachers all the time and all day, especially if they need some comfort since they are showing anxiety being away from their parents. This school was so callous compared to the school that my son is currently at and I remember how scared he always felt when going there, which makes me sad and the reason why I'm writing a 2nd review. I also mentioned in an earlier review that I hated dropping off my son in the morning due to one of the teachers (Ms. Wafaa). She was always so rude to me, which made me worry about my son having to spend the morning with her. I hope she's no longer there, but if she is, she really needs to improve her demeanor. It's always hard to know how bad someplace is until you leave and go someplace else, so I'm glad we only stayed here for one year.

If they had been able to add second grade, we would have stayed longer. My previous comments about the school still stand true, but after almost two years I've seen even more accomplishments. I'm so proud of the growth and progress I've seen from her, in the pride she takes in her work and how much she enjoys being a leader. Her teacher, Mrs. Quintero, fostered those traits in her. I see how cherished my child and her classmates are here. My daughter is reading on her own, does math without even realizing it, and has gained many more life skills and good habits. Thank you to all the teachers (guides) and staff here for making the last two years a joy. Be prepared for us to visit!

My son attended LiMai for a little over a year. During that time, the only feedback we consistently…read morereceived from his teacher, Ms. Gabriel, was that he was popular with classmates and very bright--consistent with our observations at home. However, one morning I was called in an hour after dropping my son off and informed that my 4-year-old was being suspended for two days due to rough play (scratching and pinching) that had occurred over the previous week--not that day. This came as a surprise, as they only mentioned anything to me 1 hour earlier at drop-off & they seemed content that we would talk to him about his behavior after school. They had him 100% of the time between informing me & then suspending him, and he behaved during that time. Additionally, one of the front office directors, Ms. Quintero, put on a show of scolding him publicly on his way out--right in front of the other child's mother, without introducing her. While I don't doubt he was testing boundaries through rough play, we were caught off guard by the lack of communication and sudden escalation. A simple conversation beforehand would have aligned more closely with common-sense approaches and even LiMai's own disciplinary policy, which outlines progressive steps before suspension. It appeared they bypassed their own protocol and instead took a more reactive, punitive approach. (LiMai's disciplinary policy at the time was 1st offense: speak with parent, 2nd offense: leave home for the day, 3rd offense: 1 day suspension, 4th offense: termination). What's more troubling is that this incident revealed larger concerns. It became clear that supervision may not have been consistent in real-time, and we were left questioning how long inappropriate behavior had gone unchecked. During the suspension, we made the decision to transfer our son to another local Montessori. There, we discovered he was slightly behind peers in key areas like writing and math skills--despite being told he was doing well at LiMai. We later learned from LiMai's staff that the disciplinary decision was not universally supported and was pushed forward primarily by the owner to appease the other parent. In short, our experience with LiMai included a lack of proactive communication, inconsistent discipline, and shortcomings in academic instruction. I do appreciate the courteous front office secretary and the sincere apologies we received from some of the staff. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for their deeper issues. Of the three Montessoris we've had experience with in Diamond Bar, LiMai was the worst.

They do an awesome job with all of the day-to-day activities and put on great extra-curricular events such as winter/spring shows, parent breakfasts, curriculum night, field-trips, water-play days in summer, etc. In addition, they maintain a very clean, organized, child friendly facility. From your first step through their doors you can tell they care about the details. We first enrolled our daughter after realizing she was encountering a bit of a speech delay and were advised that putting her in daycare where she could socialize with peers her age would help her development. We visited various other daycares/Montessori's in the area and found Walnut Montessori-Preschool Academy to be the most responsive, well-staffed and equipped to meet our needs. Our daughter has grown tremendously since we first enrolled her at the age of two (she is now 4 and still enrolled). She went from speaking very few words and wanting to be around only parents and grandparents, to developing quite a vocabulary, learning to play with other kids her age, learning how to engage in a classroom setting, becoming potty-trained, and generally developing her skills for Kindergarten. Walnut Montessori-Preschool Academy has always been very accommodating with any of our needs and has communicated/responded well when incidents did occur. We could not be more pleased with the level of service Walnut Montessori-Preschool Academy has provided and would not hesitate to recommend this program to anyone looking for childcare services.

I do have a child that's currently in another program as he requires more attention for his needs. The solution was brought up to us by the director and we were heartbroken that this child would not get the same experience as his siblings. The director was willing to accommodate and work with us but overall moving the child was of his best interest to give him the attention he needed. My family is grateful for this information as we've seen immense growth with the children attending Montessori and the child that's was moved. It really showed us that the school was not trying to keep us for tuition but making knowledgeable recommendations on what would be best for the child and the resources available. In addition to their knowledge there are also plenty of opportunities for children performances, family events, summer field trips and class parties. The hours open are more than reasonable for a working parent. Overall out of all the Montessori schools I've toured this is one of the only ones in the area that's actually Montessori and not Montessori inspired, which ultimately was the original reason why I enrolled my children. I'm glad I made the choice to enroll my children here as I know every one of my kids are learning both educationally and socially.
