My wife and I are so grateful to have such wonderful teachers for our daughters. They were in Room 4 with Ms Sheila and Ms Ana. Ms Ana is incredibly thoughtful, kind, and caring. She creates a warm and welcoming environment where my girls feel safe and supported. One thing we especially appreciate is her excellent communication with us. Ms. Ana is very responsive through WeChat; she provides us peace of mind when we have any questions regarding our kids. Ms Shiela was excellent in introducing both my daughters to writing/math/reading at the beginning of the year. She was able to identify different needs for each of my daughters and created a plan for us to follow at home to reinforce what was being taught at school. The time I had with Ms Shiela in the teacher parent meetings showed me that she really cared about her students and treated them as if they were her own. I am so impressed with my daughters' growth throughout the year; seeing the work they did in class and also the activities they have and are doing now at home is just amazing. We are so grateful to have had Ms. Ana and Ms. Shiela take care of and teach our kids. During that time, he was placed in nearly every classroom, and we had the privilege of being around amazing teachers who were nurturing, caring, and treated him like family. Two years went by just like that and we just wrapped up our time in Room 5, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the experience our child had. Ms. Emily, Ms. Andrea, and Ms. Hailey have all been so kind, caring, and absolutely amazing throughout. Ms. Emily has been so helpful in guiding our child through everyday learning and even teaching him Spanish! She's super sweet and really great with the kids. Ms. Andrea has had the warmest heart since day one. She always knew when our child needed some extra comfort or a hug, especially during those early days of separation anxiety. Ms. Hailey is loving and patient which really helped our child with all the Montessori work. She was always there to support and encourage him in such a gentle way. All three of them made the process of leaving our kid at school every day so much easier. They were easy to talk to, always responsive to questions or update requests, and just fun to deal with overall. I would 100% trust them with another one of my kids.. and actually, our next little one is starting in December! I also wanted to give another honorable mention to his first classroom Room 2 where it all began. Ms. Griselda, Ms. Cecilia, and Ms. Ellie were nothing short of amazing. They were our intro to early childhood education and made such a great impression on us. To be honest, every staff member is wonderful. Long over due since my kid attended this school. My kid has been academically advance and find room 3 being under challenged therefore she fights going to class. Often time we would peek through the window and see our kid being left by herself laying by the carpet area without a single person encouraging her to participate. PARENTS PLEASE BEWARE that teachers are also not properly trained. my daughter had her arm dislocated from teachers tugging on her arm. During pick up we saw my daughter very distressed in ms noels office crying and holding her arm. Ms Noel had the audacity to say my daughter was just faking it and there wasn't anything wrong with her. More over ms Noel suggested that she should be assessed for being autistic because 3 year olds should not be able to read books fluently and should not be able memorize the continent on the first day of learning. Later that night my daughter was still crying so we immediately took her to the hospital to find that she had a nurse elbow (dislocated arm due to improper tugging). Another downfall is that they would make the kids feel bad when you come after 5:30pm. Mind you the school opens from 7am-6pm. By 5:15/5:20 they will escort your child to the hall way to sit there and wait for you to pick them up. As kids leave... the teachers would count down the amount of students left. Those kids definitely did not look happy or entertained. Definitely see the shame in their eyes as their parents walks through. Mind you we took our kids out as soon as we found a proper school for them. My daughter was 3.5 and the new school did an assessment on her and put her straight into kindergarten. Ever since, attending the new school, my daughter ran straight into class without fighting us. She would cry as soon as we mention walnut international. read more

My son went to this school for more than 3 years, starting when he was 2. We had great experience here. Every teacher is so friendly. They all know my son and always greeting to him on the hallway, even after he graduated almost one year ago. The younger age room 2 teachers took so good care of my son. Ms. Griselda was always reading and playing with the kids when I picked up my son in the late afternoon. she always shared with me how my son was eating that specific day and other fun facts about him, before I ask. Still also remember how nice and warm Ms. Cecilia was when I didn't make it for Mother's Day activity. They took a lot of pictures and greeted to me with so much love that day when I picked my son up. All the way up to room 6, Ms. G focus more on good behavior and learning. While strict, she is also a fun teacher. My son likes her so much and came back everyday telling me things that Ms. G shared. He also learned so much things, art, math, geology, etc. The school also host many activities and kids performance through the year, my husband enjoyed this a lot. What a year! I definitely was super hesitant initially to send my daughter off to pre-k because she was my first child. But her first day definitely changed my mind immediately. She has learned and grown so much this year and made so many friends! They did teach more than I would typically expect pre-k to learn, but extra knowledge is always good! Ms. Ana and Ms. Sabina are the best! They are both so sweet, kind, and patient. I always had concerns and questions, and they were both so quick to help and answer them. I liked that the school offered full and half days and provided the option of school lunches for a small fee, if parents chose to purchase it. I also liked that there were many photo moments throughout the school year with the different holidays, and Ms. Ana and Ms. Sabina would always send us photos or videos if the students did something new and fun! They also always had pizza parties and little things planned for the holidays, and my daughter loved them all! It definitely was a wonderful and fun year for her! I am so glad that I made the decision to send my pre-schooler, now almost kindergartener here. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the school was always clean. Parking is usually never an issue, unless there is a Christmas show or graduation, then the lot is super packed. I have/had two kids attending WIM. One already graduated from their preschool to enter kindergarten this year. My other is heading to TK next year so this review is long overdue. When we first moved to the area, there were a few key items we were looking for. That includes a Montessori school that provides daycare, offers extracurricular classes, and how involved teachers are with the kids. The teachers are very accommodating and attentive to the kids. For example, Ms. Emily, Ms. Andrea, and Ms. Hailey, from Room 5, have been amazing in accommodating my child's needs. When my daughter turned 3 and moved into the classroom, she struggled with her emotions and often got upset. When talking to the teachers about the concern, they were very attentive in helping her go through her emotions, and she has become more calm and positive throughout the year. Additionally, she mentioned that she had been bored at school. The teachers have paid her special attention by giving her more activities to do and allowing her to volunteer more frequently in class. She's been a lot happier at school and continues to say she misses school during the weekend. I have that odd child who enjoys doing homework immensely so Ms. Hailey has been extremely helpful in creating tailored activity packets for her to do at home throughout the week even though it's not required. Overall, both my kids flourished there. Although my oldest graduated last year, she enjoys picking up her sister there to say hi to her teachers, Ms. Ana and Ms Sabina, who were her favorite teachers. It was definitely emotional when my little one left this school to attend kindergarten at a public school. He has definitely developed a strong bond with his room 4 teachers- Ms. Ana, Ms. Sabina, and Ms. Haley. These teachers are phenomenal, and believe me that phenomenal is an understatement for them. To this day, my little one misses his teachers and consistently asks each week to visit them. Ms. Ana is AMAZING! My little one would come home each day telling me what he learned. I was shocked to hear him name flags everywhere we went, recite the names of presidents, and show me how helpful he can be at home with skills he learned from school. Ms. Ana's teaching style really taught my little one to think for himself and she is the reason why he is so smart today! He was beyond prepared for kindergarten, and he is excelling requirements for his grade level. If I could have Ms. Ana as his teacher again, it would be an honor. She is the best! Ms. Sabina is just so wonderful! She is so patient with my little one. She takes the time to speak with my little one whenever he has a rough day and finds a way to turn each situation into a positive. At the end of each day, she will update me on how his day was and is always willing to work with me or provide suggestions on what we can both do for my little one to have a better next day. Ms. Haley is literally the first teacher that my little one sees each day. She welcomes him to school each morning and takes the time to color with my little one. He will come home with super cute pictures he colored and I can see improvement in his coloring each day. Ms. Haley will also sometimes do small projects with him such as making bracelets. I miss those days when he would come home so excited to show me his papers and random projects he made. Ever since he began coloring with Ms. Haley every morning, I've seen his artistic skills grow and she is the one who sparked up his inner artist. Before WIM, my daughter had been going to family daycares with fewer than 8 students, so it was a bit scary for both me and my 3yo when she started in this bigger preschool. My worry was gone on the first day. Ms. Emily, Ms. Andrea and Ms. Mary were able to help her potty trained in a week. They also patted her to sleep with great patience as she was having serious eczema and could be restless during nap time. After transitioning to Room 3, my daughter grew even more, intellectually and socially. Ms. Mandy, Ms. Sufia, and Ms. Rabia shared her progress from time to time. Ms. Reyna taught her Spanish and helped her with crafts. Each week, she brought home a homework folder. I think it gave us a anchor point to cultivate good studying habits. She shows great interest in doing homework so far, and I think this interest is well preserved and amplified in Room 3. Because I was always among the latest to pick my child up, I had the most opportunities to speak with Ms. Sufia. Ms. Sufia has been so pleasant, patient, and encouraging to students and parents alike. I feel I am becoming a better parent too, thanks to those conversations with Ms. Sufia. My child also made friends in class. I will always remember how they run after each other, laughing. That is pure happiness. Coincidence or not, her eczema was also gone while at WIM. We visited many other schools, but ultimately chose this one. Looking back, this decision was absolutely correct. Every teacher is very kind and full of love. They do more than just teach; they offer necessary care and help when children need it. I remember a time when my child couldn't eat, and the teacher patiently helped feed him. When he was scared to sleep at school, the teacher put his bed near the door where there was a bit of light, to soothe his fear. Whenever he was afraid, anxious, or having difficulty, they would lend a hand, helping our child quickly adapt and grow in this new environment. We absolutely loved our experience with International School of Montessori. We had a 2yr old and a 3month old when we started and both classes were wonderful. It was great sending kids to a school that truly put the children's priority first. We had a previous bad experience with Montessori of Walnut on Alisu ct. look for my Yelp review there to read my traumatizing experience. International School of Montessori was such a breath of fresh air. Mrs. Noel was so sweet and she paid attention to every child. I am writing in hopes that future parents give this school the chance we did. I like to think I did my thorough research after visiting 10 different preschools and Montessori programs before deciding on this one for my son. I was definitely the most anxious and nervous parent enrolling my first born 3 year old but this place has become home away from home for our son. First off, the teachers and the staff are just kind hearted and passionate about their jobs. It is obvious that every teacher is here because they genuinely love the children. Our son is currently enrolled in Room 5 with Ms. Farida, Ms. Emily and Ms. Mary and I could not tell you what life is like without them! There is constant communication with them, whether it would be through the messaging app or even just talking with them before drop off and after pickup. I never felt worried about how my son's day went. Even when we started and we had a hard time with separation at drop off, they would communicate to me that he did eventually stop crying and enjoyed his day. (Which helped me feel better with my separation anxiety! LOL!) Potty training was also really difficult for us but all his teachers stayed patient and really worked with him. I am happy to say he finally got it down 6 months later and they really never lost faith. They did everything to help him with incentives and positive praise to make him feel comfortable. Education has already been really great. My son is who is pretty shy and didn't speak much coming in is now a talking machine. He is now actively reading and really communicating. He has his days of the week, months, 7 continents, alphabet and numbers all down. Not to mention he has learned quite a bit of Chinese and Spanish that is included as part of their curriculum! I am so proud after he was born as an extreme preemie where his doctors anticipated he might have some learning struggles. He really has blossomed and I couldn't be more proud. I am so grateful to have this school as part of his foundation and we can't wait to see more as we continue his education here. read more

Ms. Gie is such a great teacher and really help kids learn right and wrong and how to eat healthy. Ms. Evelyn is so nurturing and so kind to my daughter she misses her when she switch to another classroom. Ms Rabia and Ms Anna are both super nice. Ms Noelle the principal is very nice and organized. Ms. Caroline is very responsible to all our emails. The enrichment classes are great especially the art class. I am writing this in regards to memories my son is now more eloquently spoken then ever before to actually tell me first hand about his experience .My son attended for 1 year 3.5 to 4.5 . The other day we were going through old photos and he saw this one and got A tears in his eye.I calmly and patiently asked why he was cry he said A few days prior to his birthday he had an accident and the teacher was mad and him and shoved her nail in his hand and told him he was bad. I remember bring this up when I noticed it but my son had a pretty delayed speech impediment.And the teacher said he did it himself .I asked for evidence but they said they didn't record in class only on the playground.So please please I am updating this review to urge all parents don't send your children hear until fully verbal.It breaks my heart to know my son had trauma I never knew of. read more

I had to come back to update because we had one more little and the pleasure of experiencing the wonderful Room 1 teachers! Room 1 is the "baby room." It has a very small class size and every teacher is absolutely phenomenal! Of course I was nervous my 11 month old would not go with anyone after being with only me but Ms. Raquel knows all the tricks and bonded with my son instantly! In addition to Ms. Raquel, Ms. Dima, Ms. Lydia, Ms. Natalie, Ms. Marisol, and Ms. Reyna all played such a special role in my son's growth. Each one of these teachers took care of my son as if he was their own. They are all so kind and patient and nurturing with the littles (and us parents)! My son, who is now 2 years old, sings, dances and knows his colors! I am so grateful for our time with these lovely ladies and highly recommend! I choose WIM because my friend's son was enrolled for over one year and he loved this school. It is worth to drive almost 20 min to the school every morning. My son has been here for 2 years already. We can feel he grows and changes a lot. More confident to talk and make new friends, learned lots of things at school. Teachers here are so nice! The director Ms. Noelle is so patient and taking very good care of every kids who needs extra help. Ms. Rabia is so caring. Ms. Gie is patient on teaching them not only the numbers and letters, but also eat healthy. Ms. Hailey and Ms. Andrea are full of energy, kids can always have fun with them. I highly recommended WIM to all preschool parents. Because both of my kids went to WIM. One was in room 6 and the other one was in room 4. They both were very happy and love their teachers and friends so much. The teachers and staffs here are very friendly and caring. They took very good care of my kids and lots of hugs everyday. And the facility is very clean and well organized. The school is very focus on their academic level they teach lots of things in here. Their schedule is very flexible so you can choose either half day or full day. I think their price is very reasonable too compare to other preschools at the walnut. My two year old son just started here. We're going on 4 weeks, and he's still struggling with the transition of being away from mom/home. The teachers in room 2 have been extremely patient and caring with him. We had a horrible experience with day care when my son was 6 months old, so I was even nervous about him going back to care that was outside of our immediate family. My daughter has been in Room 3 for almost a year. From the very first day, she never cried once, which showed me how much she loves it here. This review is long overdue. My kids have loved every single teacher at this school from the infant room to room 6! The teachers in ROOM 4, Ms. Amynah & Ms. Ana are so wonderful. They make class fun, and they encourage the kids to be independent but are always available to help them when they needed it. Ms. Ana does a wonderful job teaching Spanish to the kids and I appreciate Ms. Amynah always encouraging my kid to talk in and learn Urdu(our native language) - let's add that to the curriculum please :) We as a family love this school. My older kid who is now in public school still loves to visit his teachers - Ms. G was instrumental in his handing writing and working on his focusing skills. Ms. Rabia is heavenly, she is the kindest, sweetest, and most patient. Ms. Amynah has such a fun personality that makes the class fun and also keeps the kids in line. We love her Bollywood dance moves at the school's annual performance. Ms. Ana is the funnest, & sweetest teacher. She's so relatable and I love that she shares little moments about my kids day with me and we both get to laugh about the silly things my kid does. Both room 4 teachers, Ms. Amynah & Ana motivate the kids to eat healthy snacks, finish their lunch, and do their class. Ms. Noelle & Ms. Carolina are phenomenal! They have a welcoming environment and makes us, the parents, feel very comfortable about the care our kids receive here. Ms. Noelle and her staff truly care about the kids and the programs they offer. There is always something new for the kids to try and this school has put in so much work to continue making it better every year. We are so fortunate to have our kids attend this school. My kids and I have had the privilege to interact with many of the teachers here and I wish I could name them all. Our baby girl has been going to this school ever since she turned 1. We absolutely love room 1 and her teachers. Mrs. Raquel got her acquainted with school life and took great care of her right from the start. As baby girl grew, she slowly moved up and we loved every single teacher she had (Ms. Jhoselyn, Reyna, Dima, and Lydia). The classroom is always clean and orderly. Every teacher paid attention to her and encouraged her to form good habits. We noticed her becoming more capable and independent since going to school and she continues to love going to school every day. My review will cover the overall school and my experiences during this pandemic. Regarding Safety: At ISM, the director and staff prioritize cultivating a safe learning environment and uphold it to fidelity. My sons attend ISM, and I feel that they value my children and I feel confident that they are well taken care of during their time at school. The facilities is pristine. It is clean and it's not necessarily the teachers spending time to clean which takes away attention from the students, but there is a collective effort by students (teaching responsibility) and teachers to keep the school sanitary. I also appreciate that when there is an incident they approach it with professionalism. I receive a call from a staff member and I can also read about it through an incident report. Regarding Learning: I am an educator so I look at curriculum and learning through a more critical lens. At ISM, there is a holistic approach to learning and I love that about the school. They focus on academics, emotional, physical (fine and gross motor), and mental growth and development. They look at the whole child and meet the needs of the child. In order for these needs to be met, I'm sure there are lots of observations made by teachers and I feel the staff, especially the director, Ms. Noelle shares the feedback with me on a consistent basis. I feel my children are academically prepared to enter elementary school. Currently, my children are focusing on one-to-one correspondence, choral counting, letter/sound recognition, reading, etc., which are all standards that need to be mastered in kinder. Regarding Communication: As a parent, I want to know what is going on at school. Communication is very fluid and I am able to know what is going on at school through electronic newsletters, emails, and phone calls. Very satisfied with the ongoing connection. Regarding the Pandemic: I had my reservations to send my children back to school. They were on hiatus from March to August, but due to work, we made the decision to reenroll. The steps the school has taken to ensure safety is remarkable. Parents sign in with their own pens, children wear masks (children are much more adaptable than most adults I know), teachers wear masks and shields, children will use only certain instructional material to prevent cross contamination, and the highlight for me is small class sizes. I feel confident that every measure is taken to ensure safety. As a parent, my priority is for my children to thrive and I feel ISM allows the space for that to happen. read more
