    Enjoying dinner

What an awesome 4 days at creekside, we fished the lakes and Creeks and came back to camp every-time with a wonderful welcome everytime! Sierra, Steve and Keith were so accommodating and attentive to our needs. We rented the hideout and were not looking for 5 stars! We were comfortable beyond expectations. It was definitely worth the money we spent, and we are planning next year's trip already!

Great place to base a fishing trip in the high country above Bishop, CA. Great scenery in the area, especially in fall. We chose this park based on availability and the 5 star reviews. For the average RV'er, not so good. The facilities are all functional. The one staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The actual Office was closed the 2 days we were there. WiFi is pretty good (able to stream a 2 hr movie). If you are travel trailer owner (I am not), you'll need a good "skill set" to get into some of the spaces. The place has a "ramshackle" look (see pictures). This is not a 5-Star RV park.

To say I enjoyed my stay here would be an under statement. It was so much more than I expected. First of all, it is at a higher elevation than Bishop, so the weather is so much more mild. It was a pleasant surprise to have mid 70 degree days and cool nights and mornings. The staff were always smiling and pleasant and the creek and pond on site was quite enjoyable! Being able to fish just a short walk away was a huge plus and I love LOVE the sound of running water from the creek. Bathrooms and showers available-$1 for 5 minutes of hot water. Convenience store on site. Plenty of sites with trees for shade. Would love to come back for another visit.

Behind our trailers was a nice area for our group to hang out.

What a fun weekend. Minus not catching any fish. Camp ground seemed laid back. No one was coming around saying move your car... don't do this... even when we stayed up passed 10pm Clean. (Although I never went into the bathrooms.... ) but the grounds were clean. Plenty of trash cans. The owner was very nice and drew a map to help me get to the cool water fall. The drive is a little out of the ways for my liking. And the WiFi is very spotty but I knew that going up there that I wasn't going to be able to get any work done.

This is an update from several years ago! Wow what a difference the new owners Sierra and Nate have really turned this place around! They have created a whole new positive vibe in this place. If you enjoy the Sierras, fishing and Mt. Biking this park is a must!

What an amazing trip!! It is a great location to relax with family. Great for young kids and adults. We stayed in our rooftop tent and the campsite was right next to the creek. Amazing views and close enough to civilization not to feel uneasy with children. There is a restaurant right across the street which was great for one of the cold nights we decided not to cook. Everyone who worked there were so nice and kind. We went into the store daily to pick out a new toy. The store was also great for small items we forgot to bring with us. We will definitely be making another trip back up next year! Thank you for your great hospitality!!!

Fish were caught Dogs loved it Cold little bar / gift shop/ sports watching across the street .

We really enjoy going here . The original owners sold it to a young couple they are very nice people. The groundskeeper/ electrician/ plumber/ custodian / greeter name Keith was so super nice ! He made our trip ! The little store has pretty much all you may need it you run out of something . The spots are good size and they have stocked lakes near by and a horse shoe pit near the store with a cute hammock . We will be going back :)

This park is amazing, has everything you need. Best part about it is full hookup but still rustic camping. Nick is a wonderful person and willing to take care of his guests! Looking forward to coming back in the fall.

Enjoying the surrounding beauty, quiet times, campfire smells, running streams, pond... like. Now after being here 3 days and counting; this will be a regular spot on the journey. The owners, besides the beauty surrounding you, make this place a definite stop. Get your fish cleaned. Never fished in a creek? You'll get help. it here! Well stocked grocery store. Pond stocked with trout also on property. ; )

These are the tent campsites, creek at the bottom. Nice to fall asleep to the creek.

Ask the Community - Creekside Rv Park

How well does the WiFi work? Can you get it from your RV or do you have to be right by the office or store?

There is no cell reception at all. The park does offer WiFi that works pretty well.

Is there cell service here? Thanks in advance!

Not in the camp itself. You get in your car and drive a little bit you can pick up cell service.

We typically do not order off of the happy hour menu, but we decided what the heck prices seem to be better, Let's give it a shot. Keep in mind we've done this a few times here and there's never been an issue substitution wise for ordering tacos, however on this visit, we were told we could not do any substitutions which I thought was kind of odd as I'm not a seafood fan so I simply requested to have one of the other whether it be Asada or Pollo instead of a trio and not the seafood. After many discussions with our server, and then the manager that was on duty, I was told they're absolutely was no substitutions which I thought was unreasonable ,so after a long time customerI decided we would just not order and close out our bill and this put a sour taste in my mouth about LaCosina. They continue to raise their prices and now not offer choices, and not cater to those who do not like seafood. I am saddened to say, but we will no longer be a customer at La Cosina.

My job is to enjoy a well kept, customer friendly, campground. Been coming here for 10 years...Carla, Pam , Kristian and the camp host before them were truly nice people! Helpful, friendly not overpowering and aggressive like the current camp host. They do not need my business...I do need this camp ground! There are plenty others, and less expensive if you dry camp. Went to plug in my Nema 1450 Shore power cord and the pedal outlet was melted. Let the check in lady girl know and quickly two maintenance guys came out for a look see. I told them exactly what needed to be replaced and the part name. The younger one said he will call an electrician to come take a look. I said, tell him to bring a Nema 1450 outlet and replace it, as it's nothing to look at but just replace it already. Now mind you we are already set up and can't plug in safely. They "called the owner" and said the electrician can come tomorrow and that's just not gonna work for me. I asked where is the closest hardware store and again the younger one said "it's probably closed" he's not helpful and he's a minimum effort kinda guy. I called ace hardware and they are open for another 1-2 hrs. Had the counter make sure the part is in and had it ready for pick up. The older one tried to put it in, not having any experience with this type of electrical work. I ended doing it for him as I'm a 30+ year electrician. I may have saved his life - .
