That quick, decisive action may have saved her sight. You need to get her to a specialist as soon as possible." Hearing the word "specialist" when your dog is almost 12 is terrifying, especially when it involves something as delicate as the eyes. They treated her eye and gave me meds on site for her injury. Great family run vet clinic. Highly recommend them. Be sure to bring cash or check as they don't accept credit or debit. My initial emergency visit with 3 meds cost me about $170. Just to give you an idea of how much to bring. Her follow up second visit was $78. Plan accordingly.
