Their craftsmanship, communication and attention to detail were unmatched. They work with the best in the business. It was such a great experience that I wake up every day full of gratitude for them and for what they helped us build. I am so glad it's finished, but sometimes I wish we were still working on it because it was such a joy picking out all of the beautiful elements and watching them come to life in the space. Guests are blown away, and everyone loves being at our home. It is elegantly designed and can fit lots of friends and family, but is cozy and welcoming at the same time. I really enjoyed talking with him as did my mother-in-law. And then I never heard anything back from him. I figured he was busy so I gave him a couple weeks. A couple weeks turned into over a month because life happens and I recently sent him an email asking him if he was still interested or what happened or if he had anything for me from our meeting I don't know what happened but communication went to nothing and I feel like I was ghosted after our first meeting, which sucks because I was really excited with all the ideas that he had given me for a remodel of my kitchen that is not incredibly user-friendly at the moment.

There was a long list of things to get done and owner/GC Bill helped ensure the work was done well and completed on time. Fair to say there were no surprises budget-wise. We Demo'd everything Put in new hardwood floors Adjusted the layout -- moved the fridge and range, added an island Extended a gas line to the stove Opened up the two entries into the kitchen Painted it all New cabinets and countertops New lightning (overhead, under counter, a couple of pendants) Added a skylight Mostly all new appliances Maximized the storage (no more pantry in the garage!) Bill was really responsive thru email and text and I never felt unaware of the project's next steps. It was also very clear what design elements I was responsible for and what I could trust him to pick out or supply. His partner Pam offered assistance and wisdom in this area too! (And to be clear, nothing proceeded without my approval.) Bill coordinated everything so effectively. When gathering bids I really liked that he highlights that he has a longterm relationship -- ie 20+ years in some cases -- with many of his subcontractors. It shows; they were all reliable as well. While I hope not to have to redo another kitchen any time soon, I will be keeping Bill/Garden Home in mind for other house renovation projects. We've been in our finished kitchen now for about 6 months and I'm still so happy with the update. We are spending an infinitely more amount of time in it the enjoying it as a family space that was inaccessible before.

We have had the pleasure of working with Maxwell and Green Light on two separate projects…read more In 2023 we did a full bathroom remodel with Green Light Construction, and we loved working with Maxwell and the whole team. Maxwell works with excellent tile installers and cabinet makers, and we are thrilled with the end result. Our bathroom not only looks fantastic, but Maxwell was very thorough in making sure all the quirks that had gone into prior renovations of our 1909 home were fixed, and we feel so much better about the quality of our home than we did prior to construction. Maxwell was consistently excellent at communication, and was calm and kind with all of our questions and minor changes that came up on our end during the process. Everything came in on-budget and on-time, with no surprises. We wish we had more renovation needs, because we would love to work with Greenlight again. In July 2025, we had Maxwell and his team back to build an exterior deck/set of stairs, move a dryer vent, and build a wisteria trellis. Maxwell was very responsive, as usual, and was able to fit us into his schedule. The crew cleaned up thoroughly everday and minimized any disruption to our yard. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process, and everything was completed just as we wanted it, at a fair price.

Their "design" services consisted of using the Pinterest photos that we provided and some basic CAD drawings. They didn't show up to an initial meeting, (admitted putting it on their calendar incorrectly, this should have been a red flag), didn't read or respond to multiple emails with important information, didn't incorporate several specific written requests into project plans, and continuously wasted time, but they certainly charged for every minute they may have been even thinking about our project. Of course what we paid would have been a small portion of our overall project budget, but to have received virtually no timelines or final plans, or even basic communication, and to have wasted months of time that could have been used actually planning and completing the project, we decided to cut our losses. Before posting a review, we reached out to the owner, Jeff, (I am always very hesitant to post something that could negatively impact someone's livelihood), but from his defensive response it seems like this is just how they do business, and I feel our experience should be available to anyone considering using their services. It wasn't just that his price was fair, they had re-sided a co-worker's home ~11 years prior and their name was listed in his stack of references. I spoke to my co-worker and they STILL had good things to say about Gino and Lifetime. In addition, the company is Hardieplank Elite Preferred installer, meaning they were up to date on any installation best practices and that was important to me. Unlike all of the other bids, there was no pressure. Gino was easy to work with, extremely responsive, meticulous attention to detail. No overselling or "the sky is falling" behavior. No eye rolling or treating me like I was a PIB at the end when some little painting details needed extra attention. Was very respectful of me as a woman. No weirdness or disconnect from his team. Everyone was on the same page. And his team are direct employees of Lifetime ... for many multiple of years. This latter point spoke volumes to me. His employees were superlative workers who were VERY careful about picking up debris, daily check-ins, keeping an eye out for my dog's safety, etc. They were on time, in budget and did great work with everyone being super professional. I will definitely hire Gino in the future for other projects. It was such a relief to have real people with a true business ethic not just working on, but taking care of my home. Thank you Gino!

Our house is not small being 2700+ square feet and while winter isn't the best time for having holes in your house, the guys were quick and professional. The final painting had to be held off until the weather warmed up, but as soon as the sun came back so did they. I had great help in picking our final house colors as well. I was in contact with the main contractor the whole time and the same great group of guys did it all; siding, windows and painting. After 3 different bids, Lifetime was right in the middle but at the end they gave us a top dollar experience.
