We accepted their offer and were told that work would be done in a few weeks as repairs like this were done on Saturdays. When we got the date, I called the day before to confirm and was told to expect workers early the next morning. That afternoon I received an email moving the work from Saturday to Sunday. After some discussion we agreed to Sunday with multiple assurances that the worker would do a good job for us. On Sunday, nobody had arrived by 10:00AM.. I called the company and only got a recording as nobody was in the office on Sunday. Monday afternoon I received a text from Premium Roofing apologizing for missing the assignment and offering to come the next day. I declined the offer as I had already lined up another company to do the work. Monday evening I got a call from Joel Monge, CEO of Premium Roofing with more apologies and an offers to perform the work immediately, even to do it at no cost or to cover the payment to another company. I thanked him for the offers, but I had lost faith in his company after waiting, rescheduling and not showing up. Mr. Monge made very reasonable efforts to resolve the issues, but having lost faith, everything was declined. I would normally not give anything more than a 1 star rating for this type of response, but Mr. Monge's heartfelt efforts to remedy shows a very good intent.

I found out he was friends with the plumber, cost be additional $1500. My contract was supposed to include a taper system but half way trough the job I was told it couldn't be done due to a return air duct I have. The taper was 1/4 to 1/2 inch and there is plenty of room under that vent, at least 4 inch clearance. I was credited $1200 when I know that the taper is at least $10K of the job, which by the way was 33K. Then my tarp and some vents I bought disappeared, oh they said they thought it was trash..so rude. They don't come address any questions without three people from the office. I always felt like it was a continuous deal, on eggs shells to have to be sure I babysat them. The crew boss seemed to be working hard I will give him that but his workers had to be watched the entire time. I would not hire them again. I had a similar response that Bob D did in 2013. It seems once they get you to sign they feel free to make changes to their benefit. I had them put on my contract no changes unless written approval is done. The last contract adjustment the estimator conveniently left that off but made sure his funds due statement was there. Guess this new estimator didn't need much scam training. Then he had the nerve to ask for a 5 star review. I have a warranty I am sure they won't honor if something is needed. (names left off intentionally but they know who they are)

The others no response or upon review of respondents capabilities proved not acceptable. April of 2024 chose Whitlock roofing and obtained measurements and preparation for install. May, work was done. Inspector came out and passed roof construction. June of 2024 we noticed some glaring problems in construction. Whitlock came out and worked on problem replacing entire sections of roof. Patching minor glitches and construction oversight flaws. For the last year I have studying the roof wandering what is wrong with it. It seems off somehow. After studying many and I mean many roofs of metal construction. I have noticed a glaring difference from other construction and ours. All roofs of metal construction are squared along the bottom seam around the house. Using the manufactures flat edge as the common line. Looking at ours I find that the bottom edge of our home is not cut but bent under. With any seems and or ridges having metal strip or edging folded over or around it. This gives the roof a jagged uneven line around the bottom edges. From a distance it looks off some how. A closer look revels a hacksaw blade appearance following the edge around the home. This hacksaw blade look is what has been troubling me for the past year. Each panel is longer or shorter than the next panel adjacent to it. Looks like a saw blade laid on its side. I do not know if this will hamper longevity of the roofing material. The warranty duration. Leaks and other environmental elements, which could shorten roofing material life. It is however an item that keeps me from giving a 5 star review. It does not give the finished roof a clean square install look. As the other roofs of metal construction seem to exhibit from far and close viewing. This install and several other factors result in a three star review. I can not give a four star because of glaring problems in construction that never happened or installation resulted in something other than what was discussed during pre installation. The roof has not leaked during the last year following construction. This is a plus. However it has not improved in appearance and still has lingering concern over possible future problems because of the folded edges and hacksaw blade appearance. It is very uneven and jagged looking. With many parts folded that may result in water damming in joints and early rusting, or material failure. Time will tell, as it always does.

They contacted our insurance company directly (which led to an increase in our premium), and it was determined that only the parapets needed replacement. Rhino charged over $11,000 for that limited work, we paid a $1,000 deductible. Shortly after, we experienced five major leaks inside our home. We had to cut holes in the ceilings of three rooms to release trapped water. Rhino came out once to patch the ceiling in one room, then ignored our repeated emails and phone calls regarding the other two. Fast forward to this year: the parapets they installed are now cracked along the entire perimeter. Multiple reputable roofers inspected the work and all said the same thing -- "whoever did this used the wrong materials and did it incorrectly." When I called Rhino, the conversation was uncomfortable. They offered to redo both roofs with foam at no cost, but after researching foam roofing, I learned it can cause serious problems if not correctly applied. I asked to split the cost of TPO instead. They agreed, but then sent a proposal that was higher than other companies' full quotes and only offered a three-year warranty. All other companies offered at least 10. Charlie said it was because we were not paying "full price". We reached out to Charlie, the general manager, to discuss this -- he never returned our calls or emails. After realizing Rhino's work was both negligent and overpriced, and that they would not stand behind their work, we chose to hire another roofer. My advice: Be very careful before hiring this company. Do your research, get multiple quotes, and listen for common feedback from other professionals. In our experience, Rhino Roofing overcharged, performed poor-quality work, and failed to take accountability, even under "new management," which appears to include the same people we originally dealt with.
