Unexpected. So I was in the vicinity and wanted to check this place so I stopped and did. They have an unexpected assortment of things. They sell different kinds of cheese. But not just any kind of cheese they sell specialty cheese. Oaxaca cheese, cincho cheese, dry cheese and even Mex. Mennonite cheese and a few others that escaped the list. They also have sour cream and Salvadorian sour cream. You can also find in there some legumes, mostly beans. Small beans, large beans, white beans, they have them. Some of them I had never seen before. Cinnamon, don't forget the cinnamon. Along with nuts and almonds. Some sweets as well, like guayaba and membrillo (quince) ate. I bought guayaba and quince ate. The next morning made toast with cream cheese and ate and it was delicious. Service is nice, but not the super nice that I am used to. But they are nice. I asked about a dried fruit that I had never seen before and they offered a sample. I believe is is family owned and operated. The time that was working on the cheese counter, mom on the store and daughter the register, pretty cool. They carry unique ingredients

I loved to come to this mexican grocery store. They carry many authentic goods from Mexico. I bought a bunch of candies for a reasonable price. I also got some sour cream(ranchera) and it tasted amazing. I got some dried sausage thinking it would taste the same as my grandmother in Mexico but I ended up throwing it away. The chorizo was of bland taste it tasted worse that the brand one I get once in awhile from another store. Also, when I asked the lady to give half lb of chorizo she looked at me funny and said "you should get a whole pound" so I did but regret it. Anyway they should work on the chorizo recipe. Otherwise it was a really nice store. I was amazed about the mole options. The mole is pretty good.

Pecan yogurt is AMAZING. Very clean store, helpful staff. So many delicious snacks & cheeses too. I'm definitely coming back!

Clean. Friendly staff with excellent service. Since I am so unfamiliar with many of the foods they let me sample and they were super helpful in answering questions.

Varieties of Moles Mexicanos, quesos, dulces any craving you have is almost fulfilled. The ladies were very nice and easy to talk to. They lets us try almost eveything before we bought any item. Impressed with the variety of moles and beans as well as the cheese. Couldn't help myself and bought 3 moles which tasted absolutely flavorful. I wouldn't have stopped by if it wasn't for a link that the Chicago Reader provided 2 days ago. I could see why the first comment about $$ was expressed. But when a store is trying harder to bring you authentic products by all means than yes I would pay the price. I asked lots of questions from what it is, how to prepare, and how much I need and everything was answered. One item I can't wait to try is the chapulines (crickets). We were told that we can garnish our micheladas with them, what can I say we were sold. I will come back once I run out of Mole.

Always heard of this "guamuchi" now I know what it looks like!!

Their menu doesn't have anything marked but the server was very knowledgeable. He went through the entire menu and indicated what could be made GF. They do not have GF pasta or bread but they do have a few options for GF crackers. We ordered the crunch party, cheese board with GF crackers, brussels sprouts, and rosemary potato rosti to share. The server made sure to modify everything to be GF and had the potatoes cooked in a separate pan to avoid cross contamination. We also had the GF almond cake. When the staff brought the food, they even acknowledged it was GF before serving. The food and service were fantastic! Really appreciate how knowledgeable and accommodating the staff was. Highly recommend!

Very cozy place with a nice vibe to catch up with friends or if you want a simple, but tasty brunch. We ordered the daily cheese board with two meats, and the beef brisket deep sandwich. Honestly I was not impressed by the board, but the meats were really good. The baguette was 10/10 even the salad that comes with it was great. The main reason for the 4 stars is the $20 cork fee. I was shocked and disappointed since the main reason I picked that place was to have a bottle of wine. Most of them were $30, 35, $40 plus $20 cork fee which is incomprehensible to me, considering I'm buying the bottle from the establishment and also consuming it there plus the food I'm getting. Service was great and I appreciate that the server let us know that the gratuity was included.

I had their fig and cheese sandwich and I thought it was pretty good for airport food. We would probably try another spot next time we pass through this airport.

First was the tipping. I put in my own order at the kiosks, it asked at the end if I wanted to tip,…read moreno table service either, but I still always tip something. The next screen only gave 3 options, the lowest was 18% and NONE of the options were "custom". So this was off to a bad start being forced into tipping 18%. Then the workers didn't have good customer service, no eye contact or friendliness at all, it's like the know they won't likely see most people ever again being this is at an airport. My expectations were not high, but I figured a grilled cheese and fig sandwich would be hard to mess up. However, that was not the case. The sandwich was burnt and only cute through the top slice of bread so I had to use my hand to tear it apart with made the bread fall apart. I also noticed a smell when I opened the wrapper that smelled like old oil. It wasn't fried so I don't understand this, just smelled of old oil or old butter. The bag it came in was all greasy too, I forgot to take picture of that. So for $15.69 for only a grilled cheese and dog sandwich, I do not recommend.

On a recent work trip to Chicago, I had the chance to experience all of Eataly's offerings. During…read moremy first visit, I picked up some sweet treats to enjoy after dinner. First, I explored the endless snack aisles and selected a bag of chocolate-hazelnut biscuits to take home. I couldn't resist the gelato and tried the pistachio flavor (yum!) On my next visit to Eataly a couple of days later, I ordered a cappuccino, and while my beverage took a long time to prepare, the espresso tasted very high quality. The pastries looked stunning and decadent, and I imagine they'd pair wonderfully with espresso if you have time to linger at the cafe (I was in a hurry to get to a work meeting). The next day, my team and I visited Eataly's restaurant for lunch. I selected the anchovy toast as my starter and the gnocchi for my main as part of the lunch special. The toast consisted of two slices of sourdough bread topped with creamy lemon spread and anchovies. The contrast of the bright lemon flavor with the ultra-salty anchovies was tempered by the creamy butter - these all paired together quite well. The gnocchi, on the other hand, was underwhelming. The gnocchi was much too soft (it had the texture of mashed potatoes), and the red sauce was bland. All in all, visiting Eataly was a cool way to experience gourmet Italian food.

We have never been here before and saw they offered a summer Fridays tasting event. The event…read moreitself I wouldn't recommend - they give you tiny sample portions of preselected items on paper hotdog containers. Considering this place is supposed to have some class, we were pretty appalled that they seemed to do the bare minimum for this event. I felt very deceived by how this event was advertised online vs in real life. It seems they intentionally left out details and was marketed as five tastings at five counters, but we receieved barely a sample at each sation. The website said 1. house made pasta - you have one option and it was three bites, no vegetarian option 2. roman-style pizza - only thing I won't complain about although still a small portion 3. Curated drink from Caffe Lavazza - this was a dixie cup portion of a blended Frappuccino 4. house made pastry - they gave you the option of literal bite sized dessert, not a whole pastry 5. the artisanal salumi and formaggi - pathetic, literally 1 piece of meat, three pieces of the same type of cheeses, three olives, and dry stale crackers. Honestly for what they offer this was a slap in the face and from a consumer perspective Eataly's attempt at a summer money making scheme. I would find it hard to believe anyone who rave about this event, in fact I imagine most left very underwhelmed and still hungry. Eataly itself might be a great experience but we did not have the opportunity. We enjoyed the spritz drinks we ordered for their $9 summer special but this event did not make me want to return at all. It unfortunately dangled everything they could have offered in front of us, but then gave us the lowest tier. Driving in traffic to do this was not worth the time, gas, parking or inconvenience and the best part of our city night was when we stepped out of Eataly.
