We found this little place located in a strip mall after we googled crepe restaurants on a weekend out with friends. It isn't a fancy place at all and the food was delicious. I'm a sucker for crepes. There were about 10 tables inside, so it isn't a large place, but they weren't very busy so we sat right down. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The people there were very nice, but the food took foreverrrrr to come out. It was delicious and worth the wait, but I wouldn't recommend if you're starving or in a hurry. read more

Friendly service and tasty crepes! I got crepes here with friends when I was visiting Charlotte. I tried both the vegetarian crepe and the smores crepe. The dining room is small and tidy. You can see your crepes being made behind the counter. Since we went on a busy weekend morning, it took a little while for our food to come out. However, it was worth the wait. I preferred the smores creep to the vegetarian one. My main concern with the vegetarian one was that there was an overwhelming amount of canned mushrooms. I assumed that the main ingredients would be fresh, and was a little disappointed by that. However, the crepe itself was light and perfectly made. Also, my desert crepe was simply sumptuous. The owners seemed really kind and dedicated to providing a wonderful experience to their guests. Overall, I'd definitely stop in again! read more

This review is overdue. I used Uber Eats for lunch on Wednesday, 11-23-22. Had a taste for something different, the breakfast croissant, French strawberry cheesecake crepe, & a caramel macchiato was my first order here. Even with delivery, everything was good. They gave me a bag of Lay's chips with my croissant. I had a long day & not only did this order save me time, everything was hot & fresh. This place was a bit of a drive from our hotel in downtown Charlotte but it was worth it. We stopped in while in Charlotte for a weekend. This is a small business with limited seating. The staff was absolutely amazing. Super friendly and happy to go above and beyond. The crepes were great but it did take awhile for the table to get our food. The Monte Cristo crepe was delicious but the s'mores crepe was overwhelmed with chocolate and the marshmallow was far too much. I think with a small adjustment it would be wonderful. read more

DONT BOTHER- Thought I'd try a local place today. Disappointed in the owners attitude. Very poor customer service. NO AIR CONDITIONING! I placed an order, went to the bathroom and came back. The cappuccino wasn't started. She took a phone order, handled a delivery and not once acknowledged and said "I'll be with you in a minute" or "sorry for the wait." Just ignore me and my order. Meanwhile there were 2 other workers available. As the owner she could have asked them to start the cappuccino. She began to tell me that she's only one person, how many degrees she has and businesses. What does that have to do with my cappuccino? I replied, I don't mind waiting but you could have acknowledged there would be a delay. Customer service guys is everything! I'll spend my money elsewhere. read more

we had the turkey club panini, the bread was well done, there was barley any ham on it and under cooked bacon on it, no turkey, mind you, it was a TURKEY CLUB. definitely overpriced, it came with chips that were clearly cheap, I saw the lady dumping them out of a Aldi bag and my friend had the chip crumbs on his plate. The menu board had one price, and the paper menu had a higher price. It was so not worth the money it was an over toasted bread Sammy! read more

Very, very good! We live on the other side of Mecklenburg County. We heard about this as a really good place for crêpes. It was worth the drive and I would definitely go again! Small, quiet and peaceful, this is my go-to crêperie. It's owned by 2 Ukrainian sisters and their mother. The prices are a little steep but in line with other crêperies in the region. Absolutely wonderful establishment. The food and coffee were both amazing but hands down the best thing about Crepe Bistro was the overwhelming presence of strong Ukrainian heritage. The hospitality and attention to detail was second to none. Each crepe we ordered (breakfast crepe, Nutella crepe, and the strawberry and cream cheese) were all cooked to perfection. The caramel macchiato coffee I received was flavored boldly. I still felt the espresso through the caramel and milk. I usually do not write reviews. We decided to check out a new crepe spot near where we live. We ordered 2 crepes and a chai tea and mocha latte. The chai tea was way too sweet.. the mocha was just ok. The problem is we waited 1 HOUR to get our two crepes. It is not cheap and the wait time was ridiculous. It's not like it was packed when we went either so I don't understand how it took an hour for us to get our food... the crepes were mediocre at best. We will not be coming back! Lost my appetite by the time we received our food. Hire more staff- You can get better crepes for the same price and faster service at Royal cafe & creperie. Go there. Ew. My Steak and cheese crepe was smothered in chipotle sauce, which was not mentioned in the description. And I was told "there is no sauce on it" When I said I could not eat it, they said "we have a policy. No replacements." Apparently they needed a policy for inedible food. Very disappointed. And disturbed by my experience. I spoke at length about my intolerance/allergy to mayo. I am certain the chipotle sauce had mayo and that my single bite of it is what left me feeling ill for the day. My favorite is the Nutella crepe. I would recommend that for the first time. The best seller is the strawberry cheesecake. I found I don't like my cheesecake warm. I ended up refrigerating mine. The coffee is always good. A friend of mine loved this spot right away since it's family owned. Coffee lover/addict and liked the Belgian waffle. I ordered the Greek and strawberry crêpe on Mother's Day & they both were excellent! But the customer service was even better. I had ordered online and when I arrived my order was not ready. I was pressed for time because I had to go to work. And the owner was not only incredibly friendly but she made sure that I received my order well below the estimated time that she gave me. I was pleasantly surprised by Crepe Bistro! The prices are reasonable and the crepes are well made. We had the strawberry, banana, Nutella crepe and the blueberry cheesecake crepe. I like sweet crepes and they definitely hit the spot. I'm pretty picky with coffee but tried their cappuccino and it was really good. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind that. I'll give 2 stars because the staff was pleasant and my son loved his waffle. The other food was horrible, we left most of it on the table. When we arrived on a Sat morning we were the ONLY people there, that should have been the 1st sign.....Do not get the strawberry cheesecake crepe...the breakfast crepes were not hot all the way through. I think the biggest issue with this place is that you can tell that they don't use high quality ingredients.... We purchased a waffle, 3 breakfast crepes, and a desert crepe to share, all of that including a tip was over $65....a waste.... I've changed my review to 1 Star. I can't believe the owner or who ever this person is they hired came on here to challenge me on my review. I never said they were served cold...l said they were not hot all the way through!TWO DIFFERENT THINGS! These people are ridiculous! Such a quaint and delicious crepe spot here in Matthews! I ordered the French Strawberry Cheesecake crepe and my sister got the Nutella crepe and they were both DELICIOUS and big crepes! Not only was the food fresh and tasty but the staff was SO sweet. Definitely will be coming back to Crepe Bistro to try more!! 10/10 RECOMMEND, they also donate 30% of every purchase to an organization in Ukraine that supports the troops! read more

Ordered a fiery crepe and ice cold coffee with oat milk. The coffee was burnt and black in color. The place was not that packed but it took them 20 mins to get my one order. The stuffing was very good and tasty but the crepe was not that good it was v sour and not crepe like texture. read more

I completely enjoyed Monty Cristo. The taste was great and there was plenty of it. Service was great but I was the only one there. I would have tried a sweet one for dessert but they were a bit pricey, $8.00 That's the only thing I have against the place. I'll be back recommend you try it. read more

Its hands down the best crepe place in Charlotte, made with passion, warmth and care, their pumpkin crepe was exactly what I was looking for, being both sweet and earthy due to the walnuts, pumpkin and the maple syrup which overall was a amazing combination of flavors. This place is amazing! They have great variety for sweet and savory crepes. One of my favorites is Monte Cristo and French Strawberry Cheesecake. They won the taste of the Expo at Matthews Chamber Event showcasing those crepes! I have had Charlotte fire panini also and wasn't disappointed, it has really good flavor. If you don't want a crepe, they have great selection for waffles, sandwiches, wraps and salads!
