Great cafe! We picked out a slice Limoncello mascarpone cake and a slice of Ricotta Pistachio cake plus 1 traditional filled cannoli and 1 pistachio crème filled cannoli. After seeing this bakery online I was very excited to go But as soon as I walked in I knew it was wasted trip! How do you sell a cannoli by size of shell then filling then dip a small cannoli was $4.50. The cannoli cream is not made fresh neither are shells. Seven layer cookies for 5 were $12.00 paying New York prices for items that are not freshly made is not happening! Save yourself a trip and Pass!!!!! read more

came here today specifically for the St. Joseph pastries, something I have not found since leaving NY in 2018. I Have not been here since they expanded and opened a Cafe next door. I loved when I walk in everything now is so much more open and bright with plenty of seating room. The St.Joseph's pastries were right there , front and center in display offering both custard and Cannoli filled. Looked to good I had a piece right there in the Cafe, what a nice St Joseph pastry. Fresh as can be with a crisp and airy texture , not over filled with cream. Brought me back to growing up in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and waiting in line at Alba's or West End Bakery for our pastry. Last night we stopped by for cannoli & tiramisu. They were both excellent!! Best cannoli we've had in the Charlotte area. Took home the tiramisu since it was frozen left it in the fridge overnight and it was delicious and perfectly balanced in sweetness. We'll definitely be back. read more

It all started when I walked down Waxhaw. at first glance, everything looked amazing. while my wife was taking her time to order her coffee, I couldn't help but see the big chocolate chip cookies on display, they looked so soft and tender. I decided to give one a try. After I ordered they handed me our pastries from the back, in a box. I didn't see the pastries until I got to my car. When I opened the box, I saw a chocolate burnt cookie, not a chocolate chip cookie. It was hard as a rock! Before you say- why didn't you just go get a fresh one? If they were ok serving this visibly dry, crusty cookie that was burnt- wouldn't they do it again? They had a fake cookie on display. The cannoli and coffee were good but unfortunately we wont be going back. If you can see your baked goods are burned and still serve it- that's just not good. read more

Purchased the s'mores, Oreo, and chocolates chip cookies. Unfortunately, cookies are not their strong point. The dough had no flavor whatsoever it was just a binder for the add-ins. The add-ins themselves are tasty. The service was quick and friendly. We may try it again for the cannolis. read more

New little Italian coffee shop in downtown Waxhaw that opened last week. Rhey have espresso drinks and some gorgeous looking Italian desserts ( cannolis, tiramisus,etc). The owner of Flav's ( Indian trail) is one of the owners, so you know that everything will be amazing. Small storefront with no seating, so you grab your order to go or walk around downtown enjoying your coffee. Either way, definitely go check it out. read more

Best sfogliatelle this side of NYC! Tastes perfectly authentic. Cute charming place with a lot to choose from. They have a nice selection of nel Bindi frozen treats which will come in nicely on a hot summer's day. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. So, this last Saturday, I stopped by with my 24 year old son who adores cannolis. He ordered 2 (there were no prices, but the cookies were $5.99 each so I'm assuming they weren't cheap). The girl behind the counter gave him one and went back to talking to her co-worker. He asked for the other one and she gave him the wrong kind. He was done trying to get her attention so he just accepted that he was only having pistachio that day, They were flavorless, nearly frozen and the shells were stale. They were also quite small put were put in a huge box so they rolled around and created a mess. He wound up scraping the filling up and shoving it back in the shell. We thought about ordering lattes but didn't trust the 2 girls to get them right after the woman next to us complained about hers. I'm not sure if they need better recipes or just better staff but the 2 workers this last Saturday afternoon have quite a bit to learn about pastries and service. read more

Best Cannoli I've had. I've had the plain and chocolate. The chocolate chip and Rochero Ferrer cookies are soft and delicious.

Great little place! Pignoli nut (almond) cookies were delicious!! Cannoli were good, though I prefer the ends be sprinkled with pistachios.

The cannoli here is piped-to-order and seriously delicious. I also got rainbow cookies which were perfectly almondy and chocolatey. It's gorgeous inside and there's a lot to choose from. Customer service is top notch which doesn't surprise me as it's owned by the same owners as Johnny Tomatoes, a wonderful pizza place we love to visit as well. We stopped in for the first time today and tried a few things! Cannoli, cream puffs, tiramisu, a pastry but not sure the name (crispy on the outside, tender inside) and eclair. Very cute shop. Cannoli's and cream puffs are delicious. However, the boxes that the pastries are packed in should not be put in a Hefty styrofoam container. A cardboard box, that accommodates the size of the pastries , should be used. Finally something of quality around this area-so needed! As a relocated foodie, their imported selections is something I can enjoy. Aside from imported baking, they have local person to bring and sell traditional American cookies- those are ok, typical for this area. To each their own but after traveling the world I am always crying when coming home and see the quality of bakeries in US. I cannot wait for them to possibly expand their selection and widen the location to add some cozy seating to enjoy with a cup of coffee. I would come more often them for the ambiance and quality food. The only downside of this business is probably employees- it is surprising to me they do not know the content of what they are selling. All I heard from them when asking questions is that the cakes are imported. That's odd. Also, some of employees are young and seem in need to learn customer service. I can deal with it but some training might be beneficial. read more
