I looked at a few different options and ended up choosing to work with Sunshine as she came really well spoken for and we both immediately liked her. Sunshine is intuitive and gifted but also very practical and straightforward and oh so experienced. She is open to all possible outcomes and was careful to let us know that there are certain situations where we would have to go to the hospital. Which I really appreciated. The night of Lou's birth was a dream, and still brings me to tears. Sunshine and Cristián were supportive in all the ways we needed. Never thought it could be this beautiful

Special shoutout to Christiane who also provided gracious wisdom and love throughout this journey. We love you both and thank God for connecting us. We will be seeing you both again

I would 1000% recommend doing one-on-one training sessions--it's the best money I've ever spent on myself. Thanks to our workouts, I had an incredibly easy delivery and post-partum recovery. Tal radiates positive energy! She kept me smiling, fit, motivated, and--most importantly--SAFE throughout my pregnancy. Her workouts were not only fun but also incorporate many moves that can actually be used during labor. She was always in-tune to my needs and would adapt her routines--even mid-workout--to make sure I was safe and pain-free. I also loved that she emphasized important foundations (e.g. proper breathing technique, connecting breath to core and pelvic floor, safe ways to get in/out of bed, ways to avoid diastasis recti, etc). I continue to use those skills daily. Not only is Tal a mama herself, she has years of experience as a specialized prenatal/post-partum personal trainer. She even stays up-to-date with ACOG recommendations and takes refresher maternal health courses. As a physician, I was impressed with the depth of her knowledge. If you train with her, you get access to her Strong Mama Fitness online for free--another incredible resource. Although she is no longer local in the Bay Area, she is available for 1-on-1 virtual training via Zoom. Our virtual sessions were super convenient, all without sacrificing quality. I can't recommend Tal enough!

He's not the problem. And if one doctor ruins your life, you might need a counselor. I fire crappy doctors (like horrid Ali Khademi). Nobody has that power over me! Or YOU. I cannot say enough good about my rockstar gynecologist. I trust him with my life--and I have to. I first saw Dr. Salvay in September, 2015, following an abnormal Pap smear. I have had many doctors in the intervening months, and Dr. Salvay is at the head of my personal pantheon. He is professional, warm, and cares intensely about the health and well-being of his patients. Or maybe he's just an insufferable jerk who doesn't care about anyone. (Or maybe you can't get your little brain around the idea that a man survives in this field, when no other men remain in it in the entire county, and maybe you shouldn't be writing Yelp reviews--your review saying this man, with thirty-plus years of experience delivering babies and helping women with their lady parts, has no "evidence based" [sic] or "practical birth skills" might be a little light in the "verifiable claim" department.) For me, he held my hand through a very dark patch, and it's not over yet. Though it clearly pains him to be the bearer of less-than-ideal news, I trust this man to help me and to guide me to the right people to care for me further. Moreover, Dr. Salvay is a doctor who LISTENS, and I will say that a doctor who listens, and listens well, is a treasure. So are the women on his staff. I am grateful with every cell of my being for Dr. Salvay, and Lara, Danielle, and everyone else at PAMF. I can't believe what some women have written here (whatevah), but then I'm just glad that I am having a blessed experience with such a fantastic caregiver. Thank you, Dr. Salvay, for your care, your prayers, and your compassion. THANK YOU. P.S. I cannot stop laughing at the woman thinking Dr. Salvay was complimenting her on her vajayjay. RIGHT. Honey, did you bedazzle it with Svoboda crystals? (It's more likely that anyone who says you have a beautiful vagina means it can give birth properly or perform Kegels.) But thanks for the laugh. HILARIOUS! Should I get mine bedazzled before a procedure? Then I can say, "Don't hate my vagina because it's beautiful." BWAH!!!

In…read morea space that I created, with no one around except for my husband and my tribe of midwives empowering me and showering me with admiration for the bad ass that I am! And my vision came to fruition with SCMW. I was truly able to be present in my body and embrace every minute of my birthing celebration. There were plenty of times where I felt that I couldn't do it and they knew just what to say, or not to say to give me the encouragement to keep pushing--LITERALLY lol! Im already talking about our next baby and how I cannot wait and our sons only two months old! Cannot say thank you enough to SCMW! With our first son I was the typical hospital story of water breaking and then being pumped full of pitocin. It. Was. HORRIBLE!! I diligently searched for a midwife team who would suggest alternative options if it came down to that. Emily, Stephanie and Sharon were like my three guardian angels. Shooting me a txt every now and then asking me about my back pain and suggesting I go see their acupuncturist who is absolutely the best, and severely reduced my back pain. I ran outta prenatals and they had some in the office. I was having some issues with yeast and they had something for that. Since my pregnancy was through pandemic sometimes I used my appointments just to talk and cry and they were totally ok with that. By the end of the 9 months it felt like they were my aunts and sisters. It was such a different feeling and experience than at the hospital, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! We love the SC midwives!

I am so grateful to them We first met and decided to work with them last August. I had a miscarriage during the CZU Complex fires. Emily and Samaya (Arrow Acupuncture) supported me through the miscarriage with massage, acupuncture & herbs and I got pregnant again right away in September. My partner and I loved our visits with the midwives. They always started by asking what questions we had. We felt totally comfortable asking them anything that came to mind from logistics to spiritual and emotional questions. We really wanted my partner to see the ultrasound and they recommended an awesome tech in Los Gatos (Scan Babies) where he and my mom & dad got to see our little guy with me. I gave birth at home and the birth was amazing! I felt as prepared as I could have been for my first birth. We had the support of a doula (Gretchen Retka) for the early stages of labor, so Emily and the rest of the team arrived closer to the end of labor. After the birth the care was wonderful. I had a tear that Sharon stitched right on my bed. Our son was born with Tachypnea and the midwives recommended we transfer to the NICU at Dominican. As sad as we were to leave the house and go to the hospital, the transfer was very efficient and professional. The midwives gave us great support through the hospital stay and once we returned home. I love that they host gatherings for their clients at the park so we can get to know each other and get to see the babies grow. I wholeheartedly recommend this amazing team!

Who funds these facilities? That's my question…read more I came here thinking it was a clinical facility that offered comprehensive, unbiased options counseling. I was wrong, and the experience left me feeling manipulated and emotionally worse than when I walked in. From the outside, it looks medical. The website uses words like "support," "resources," and "consultation." But what you get is an agenda, not healthcare. First, they make you wait in a room with anti-abortion literature and posters about "reclaiming your future" with motherhood. There are no pamphlets about all the legal options, just fear-based information about abortion. I had a "consultation" with a woman who was not a licensed therapist or a medical professional. She was a "peer counselor" whose main goal seemed to be to talk me out of my decision. She asked incredibly invasive questions about my relationship and finances under the guise of "helping." She then pressured me into having an ultrasound performed by a volunteer. The ultrasound was the most manipulative part. She kept focusing on the screen, saying things like, "Look, there's your baby," and "See the heartbeat?" It felt like a performance designed to guilt-trip me, not a medical procedure. There was no discussion of my actual health or circumstances, just a heavy-handed emotional appeal. When I directly asked for a referral for an abortion clinic or information on the process, she became vague and said they "don't provide or refer for those services." She instead offered me a stack of diapers and a lecture on "parenting classes." This place is a wolf in sheep's clothing. They bait you with free pregnancy tests and a caring facade, but their only mission is to dissuade you from considering abortion. If you are looking for factual, non-judgmental medical information and want to explore ALL your options, go to a real clinic like Planned Parenthood. Do not waste your time here. I left feeling violated and misled, not supported.
