The facility was clean and comfortable, and our massage therapists were friendly, fun, and made us feel relaxed right away. The massages were excellent and such a great value. My husband even got to experience the Thai-style walking-on-your-back technique, which put a huge smile on his face! We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and very pleased with the whole experience. Terrible massage and then forced to tip extra. Where to even start, horrible or no technique for the massage at all it was just random rubbing not intentional or intuitive. Most of the time she used no pressure and just grazed her hands over me, i dont actually know how someone could give a massage that felt so bad no only was it extremely light pressure somehow it was painful. She would be tugging and knocking and all sorts of things to compensate for the no pressure. It also felt like her hands were just going over my body no finger work or skill al. Also both me and my friend felt like the next day we felt worse than before our massage, back/neck pain wise like they used very improper technique The worst part: what completely took me out of spa mode. I tipped 20% and they demanded i tip more, it was very awkward and uncomfortable and i felt pressured to tip more even though we hated our massage. read more

Another case of don't judge a book by its cover...the atmosphere was calm, the service was welcoming and kind. We had 4 people in our party and they were able to accommodate all of us at the same time. Unfortunately I didn't get my masseuse's name but she was fabulous. Soft but firm hands. She asked several times if I was ok or if I needed softer or harder pressure. I recommend paying a little extra for the essential oils. Just a side note if you're paying by card it was $3 fee. Wow where to even start.... They were super rough on my significant other and I.. we have bruises from how hard they pushed their elbows into our backs. The door was opened multiple times while we lay their without our clothes on... and to top it all off they demanded more of a tip after we tipped... they were saying "how much how much did you tip" and didn't seem satisfied at any point. At one point the massage felt more like a rub down rather than a massage. I told the "therapist" several times I wanted harder pressure but no luck. No shoulder, neck or feet massage provided. At one point they didn't even use oil or lotion. When it was time to pay they charged an additional $3 to use my card instead of cash. I get hundreds of foot / body massages. For a 30 minute session, Coco hits the spots, firm acupressure style, has strong hands and does her best for consistent pressure, and cares about her customers. The $55 combo massage (30 minutes body, and 30 minutes foot) is a fully undressed massage we did in their couples room this past Saturday. They seem to only have one couples room, which the customers before us had arrived late to start their massage session, so our massage started about 20-25 minutes late as well, even though we had a reservation. Not a big deal, but it would be if we had other immediate plans this day. The employees were great with their communication, from when I made the reservation by phone, to them calling us about being behind schedule on the day of... they were super friendly the entire time. The setup in the room was cute and simple, with little heart-shaped paper towel face openings on the massage beds, and dim lighting and soft music in the background. My masseuse started out as a woman, but had transformed into a man by the end of the hour. Hmmm... this a was a first for me, my masseuse being swapped out in the middle of a massage. I liked the female masseuse better because she was actually applying deep pressure, which I requested in the beginning, the male masseuse, no so much. The best part of my massage was actually on my feet and lower legs, which targeted sore muscles and alleviated shin pain. There was no work done on the upper legs or arms at all, and the shoulders and back massage was just okay. There was also a lot of exiting and entering the room happening during our one-hour massage session, masseuses helping customers in the lobby or leaving for brief periods to maybe communicate with other workers outside the room, I don't know for sure. I get that they may do this to get hot towels or something, that's pretty typical, but this was way more than that, for both of our masseuses.  Based on the quality of my massage overall, I don't think the value was quite there. I've gotten plenty of better massages for a lower price, specifically in San Jose and Milpitas. Sa Teresa also charges a $3 fee for credit card transactions. But my bf had a funny story about his own personal experience (which was in the same room as me), and that will keep me laughing for days, so I don't regret coming here :D read more

First time getting a massage at Sa Teresa Spa and I would easily come back. They don't have a self booking system so you have to call for appointment, although you can walk in but I like making a reservation. I called around 11am on a Monday and made a 12pm reservation that same day for the 60 mins body + 30 mins foot massage for $85. I've been to other massage places where the 60 mins massage alone is $85 so Sa Theresa Spa's price is already way better. And I've never seen massage places offer different time frames for foot massages so I was intrigued especially since I'm always on my feet as a nurse. I also usually have a tense upper back, shoulders, neck and knots in my traps. I had Wendy as my masseuse and I just have all good things to say about her! She started off by asking if I'm cold so she can make sure I'm comfortable then asked hard or medium pressure. I responded with hard and boy did she have such great pressure! She didn't ask if there were any areas to focus on BUT it's like she knew exactly where I needed her to work on. Compared to other massage places where they ask you what to focus on or get you to fill out papers and circle the problem areas yet they don't actually focus on them so Wendy is truly so good for understanding her clients just by feeling. Honestly I think she's so experienced that she felt the tenseness and knots of my upper body because that was the majority of the massage and I loved it. I can safely say I felt less tense afterwards. At some point I felt bad for her still working on my knots because they just don't go away easily but bless her heart for doing an amazing job. She asked me if I wanted hot stones which I forgot were free so heck yeah I did it. I'm also glad she only massaged my arms for a few mins each because I rarely need or want my arms massaged for too long. I usually get sad when the masseuse tells you to flip and lie on your back because it means the massage is almost done but then I remembered I still had a 30 mins foot massage! The foot massage felt so good that I fell asleep and caught myself snoring lol. To end the session, she did some stretching and got some good cracks in. I HIGHLY recommend getting a massage by Wendy. The only reason I'm not rating them 5 stars is because it's pretty easy to hear noise and whatever is going on outside the room. Like the sounds from the street or people talking or microwave going off. And some kind of construction was happening next door so the drilling was pretty loud. I did over hear the gentleman in the front tell another customer that their hot water isn't working so maybe they were trying to get it fixed. I always leave feeling better and so relaxed. She's saved me from some pretty bad body pains. And made it a lot easier for me to maintain my busy schedule. She is attentive and talented. We 3 had Lucky (which cousin liked and fell asleep while getting a massage), Sister had Anna (and asked Can I take you home? Jokingly of course), and I had Lucy. Walking in I wasn't super impressed with the entry and inside of the building and decor. I am spoiled with the cuteness and effort my local hometown foot massage places bring to the table. In contrast this place feels echoey, cavernous, the noise seems to vibrate off the walls, it feels like a big warehouse and the therapists seem to have an irreverence for our need for please-hush-your-lovely-mouths when they forget to close the doors and stop talking as they come in and out of rooms. Cutting to the chase, the ladies seem to exchange chatty friendliness amongst each other, but I had hoped all of it would end and they would focus all their energy on us when we finally begin our peaceful descent to drowsy massage bliss. My lady Lucy actually did a good job overall besides the occasional exchange of whispers. But my Sister seen her texting while she was massaging my scalp. When Sister looked at her and she noticed, she stopped. I mean what's so important anyway? Can't the status checks on Facebook wait till after I'm at least snoring and asleep? I would go back but would ask for a different therapist unless Lucy was the only one available. I feel massage is just that type of service where the person needs to pay attention fully to me. JS. I mean it is a paid service right? But they still got 4 stars overall because for the most part it was a good massage we all received.
