This is a fantastic Park with wide open spaces. Beautiful scenery with a nice size lake and streams. Plenty of shade trees and sidewalk that goes all the way around the park. Lot of open space to walk your dogs. read more

This a beautiful park with lots of shade and mature trees. There's a fairly large lake with a walking path around it. The lake feels like a river because you can't see across it in most places. There are many birds too.I love to walk my dogs there and also meet my coach to workout there twice a week. There are also fishing,/relaxing platforms, playgrounds, indoor basketball & pickleball gyms, activities such as yoga and kids stuff, a pool with a separate kiddie pool, outdoor tennis & pickleball, soccer & baseball fields and a lg & small dog park. I am giving this place a five because we have been to various dog parks and this is my fave in the area. Every time I have been for the most part the people that bring their dogs there are nice and my dog has a good experience. Watch some of the unfilled holes. Some dog parks have rough dogs and they do not watch them and that is not the case here. Big enough to spread out especially during Covid-19 times. My dog has a good time even if it's just laying in the dirt or running with the other dogs. Plus there's a beautiful path to walk around a lake. We always come to this dog park for our puppy girl. read more

Once again we attended the Green Thumb Garden Festival at this lovely park. It was the first time however that we actually thought to appreciate the park for what it is. Lovely shade trees in a park in Florida give respite from the grueling sun which is much appreciated. The grounds are well kept, restrooms are clean and people are enjoying early morning tennis doubles. We hope to go down soon with a picnic lunch and a good book to read. read more

Super disappointed! Beautiful park lots of things to do and we get kicked off the pickle ball court. We got there super early to learn how to play with friends and a group of pickle ball players come up and push us off the court (1 out of 6 others) because it's a "competition court" (which had no identification or markers to make it different than any other court). We came with a group of 6 so we were rotating between the 6 of us and it's just so disappointing to know that people feel entitled to push us off of something because they feel justified as "pickle ballers". They then told us if we want to play then we could split up and wait behind all of their players (just to not have a chance at winning since we're beginners!) Really hoping the city will address this attitude on PUBLIC courts that everyone's taxes goes towards. read more

Another successful Green Thumb festival. This time, the park had plenty of shaded parking and the vendors were so incredible. This is such a great venue for this event. It didn't seem like vendors were crowded on top of each other and there wasn't any major stress about finding parking beforehand like there would be if the event were in downtown St pete. Although we didn't make it inside, I understand there was an inside area with demonstrations which I'm sure would have been cool too. One of the biggest potential downsides to any outdoor event is the bathroom situation. We had anticipated porta potties but instead there were pretty luxurious portable bathroom stations with actual handwashing stations. The thing that I love potentially the most is all the recycling containers throughout the park and the fact that there were water bottle refill stations. While the water wasn't the most delicious ever, I am so, so happy that this was provided as an option just another wonderful Park in St Pete! read more

Great dog park. Lots of space, and some seating throughout the park. It's separated by fence into a small dog area and bigger dog area. Most users seemed good about cleaning up after their own dogs, and the park is furnished with poo bags and ample trash receptacles. There's also a fresh water source and drink bowls near the entrance/exit gates. Another plus, one set up of double gates going in each park and a separate set of exit gates makes it more secure for your fur babies. Plenty of parking here also. read more

Thank you for providing me a place to exercise while socially distancing during the covid pandemic. This park provided me with a much needed break. I thoroughly enjoyed admiring the turtles and birds at the park often. The sunsets were lovely. I'm thoroughly grateful for this relaxing space. read more

This is by far the worst dog park in Pinellas County. We took our two dogs there this afternoon and were met at the entry gate by a pack of growling and jumping dogs, one who tried to bite my 9 month old Doberman, still in her harness. This was not your typical "we just want to play" greeting. As we stood by the gate, my dogs scared to death, one "owner" came over and told his dog not to be rude. The other owners simply sat and watched. As we were leaving a couple of owners strolled to the gate to get their dogs. My dogs were scared to death. We couldn't leave soon enough. The ground was also covered in dog poop. Also, all of the small dogs were in the large dog area. Aggressive dogs and dismissive owners - STEER CLEAR for the safety of your pups! read more

My dogs had lots of fun being there today. I had a day off, so I took them over to the park. I have 2 small dogs, but there were no small dogs in the area, so we walked into the large dog arena. It is so significantly larger! My two fluffs played with a friendly poodle and two chihuahuas, who also decided to invade the space. The park was grassy, but there were plenty of large bare areas. I'm sure, if it was a bit wet out, those areas would be mud puddles. I did notice water fountains for both, humans and dogs. The poodle's owner had told me that he's been coming here for years, but prefers doing it in the afternoon and not in the evening, since "people bring pit bulls there and he had a couple incidents with them in the past." I met a couple of owners later who are also avoiding the park at times, because "some dogs are not very nice" to theirs. read more

This place is beautiful. The lawn is massive and well-kept, and the trees are pretty. Ducks, geese, and other birds rule the marshy lake. Around the park is a two mile path around the entire block, but if you follow the path that is right close to the lake it about 3/4 mile. Walter Fuller also has tennis court, a dog park, a playground, softball fields, and soccer fields. There's also a rec center. Overall, this is a great place to come relax, hang with the family, or be active. read more

I stopped by the dog park area after dropping my son off at his martial arts class so I could let the dogs run around. I love all of these parks that are hidden in neighborhoods! This one kind of reminded me of Crescent Lake Park. It looked very nice, clean and peaceful. I didn't get a chance to walk around the park though after letting the dogs play. Next time! The dog park itself is in a kinda shady area. Looked to be well kept, I didn't notice any trash laying around or that much dog poop that wasn't picked up. Lots of parking available and there were a few benches to sit inside as well as a picnic table. Trash cans and doggie doo doo bags were available. There is a separate fenced area for small dogs. The park is an ok size. Big enough for them to run around and not feel trapped. We didn't encounter any aggressive dogs while we there Saturday morning. Everyone I talked with was friendly- both people and dogs! read more

Nice park in general. Lots of green grass and room to run. The time we brought our pup here there weren't too many other dogs to play with. The dogs and people that were there seemed to keep to themselves mostly. If you're in the area and need to let your dog run around somewhere this is a good spot. Otherwise it's not my favorite dog park. The actual Walter Fuller park is really pretty and worth a walk around. read more

The dog park is the only good fenced park in the area, so for that alone they get 5 stars. Unfortunately, poop bags are always gone by Sunday and owners aren't the best about cleaning up after their pets, so watch where you step! read more

My dog and I go to Walter Fuller everyday. Just like any dog park there are the occasional incidents of dogs getting attacked . If you have been to other dog parks you would appreciate Walter Fuller. Majority of the people are extra nice and caring , and no most people care and won't let your dog get hurt. The majority of dogs are awesome and I always have a great time there playing with my pup as well as other dogs. The best place nearby. read more

Lots of empty containers for clean up bags...park is nice, dogs are cool..humans as always, are an issue....not following instructions....allowing Murray to run around outside the park unleashed, his human apparently feels that the rules don't apply to her....but has no problem informing others. Norton's human brings another dog who ALWAYS has a muzzle on....anyway....having the clean up bags refilled would be great...:) and thanks for the new water fountains..they are awesome! Humans...buck up! read more
