When I went to crank the tiller, the string broke on the first pull. My girlfriend and I were a little worried as we did not opt for the additional insurance and we're almost afraid to find out what this would cost us. I immediately called Hertz and told the sales coordinator, Mike, what happened. Within minutes he was back on the phone telling me that it was no problem, he had another. I explained to Mike that I was in from out of town, and without a vehicle until my girlfriend returned from work and I would be in later that evening for the exchange. Mike then stated not to worry and that he would have one loaded up and brought to me. Within a half hour there was a Hertz truck in the driveway with a new tiller. All of this was provided free of charge. I'm from Texas and this was by far the best example of customer service I've received in a long, long time. Thanks Mike and Hertz in Benicia, CA.
