I was stranded, traveling in my van. I feel that John treated me with prejudice because I was traveling in a van. I wasn't invited to have coffee or snacks, I struggled to find the restroom, and I walked out of there to a hotel 2 miles away twice without being offered a ride. No one tried to shake my hand. Employment is rarely empowerment. Predators dont make themselves known.

Not good in a sealed system. We took the car to Big O but they couldn't figure out what the issue might be. They suggested that we bring it by Brake & Wheel Center. Monte offered to look into it for $200, which would be subtracted from whatever the cost of repairs would be. After looking into it, he found a Service Bulletin issued by Honda. A Service Bulletin from Honda is not a Recall but notifies dealers that if the problem presents itself, Honda will pay for the repairs. We took the car to Honda who told us that it could cost us $200 for them in look into the problem but if the issue was as described on the Service Bulletin, then there would be charge. After they looked into it, Honda called me and stated that Brake & Wheel Center was correct and that Honda would pay to fix the air conditioning problem. We really wish that the mechanic that we had taken the CR-V to a couple years earlier would have found the Service Bulletin. Needless to say, we'll never go there again. This long-winded story was to let you know how we found Brake & Wheel Center. It had been recommended to us by Mario at Big O. Now that Mario is retired, we need someone dependable to take care of our routine maintenance needs. I went by and chatted with Monte. Told him what we needed, asked for a quote and when his shop would have time for us. All we needed was an oil & filter change with tire rotation. I made an appointment for 8am the following Wednesday. I dropped off the car at 8:15 and got a call from Monte at 10:31 telling me that the work was complete. I paid a little more than I would have at Big O (Big O tires are rotated for free) but the work was done quickly. What more could one ask for?

I just had a 10am appointment on April 22. Only one of my tires appeared to have a slow leak since…read morePSI would decrease by 6-7 every 2-3 weeks. All other tires are normal. I asked AI some basic questions to not get taken advantaged of. A bald guy with a goatee "helped" me. I asked if he could check for a puncture or valve issue as well as remove wheel protectors. Immediately, he said it's a Tesla so it needs a tire replacement without even checking. No soap test or seeing where puncture was or checking tread depth. Just visually observed and said it was worn out. Did not diagnose where puncture was. Tread is quick fix while sidewall is when tire needs replacement. I replied my tires only had 38,000 miles which is midlife. According to AI, it is a "shop choosing convenience and profit over proper diagnosis". Beware.

Luckily Bruce's Tire & Auto was very close by and after looking at the good reviews, I decided to bring the car in to see if I could get it repaired or assess if I need a new tire. [[ Location ]] I'm not sure if it would be easy to find if you weren't exactly looking for it but if you are, it's pretty easy to find. The inside is very clean and has a space for you to sit down and wait for any service you need. It has about 3-4 chairs and a work bench in case you are working on your laptop and need a place to put that down. [[ Service ]] Everyone was really nice including the two front desk people and the person who worked on my car. They determined that my nail was repairable/patch-able and I was very grateful. No upsell or anything and got me out of the door in 30 minutes for $45 to repair the flat. Couldn't have asked for better. P.S. I think if they got newer signs, it would make the outside look more appealing because it's truly a great shop.
