Re-written to fix typos from autocorrect on my phone:…read more C&E Trucking is a family-owned auto repair shop that handles big trucks--and they're exceptional. I had a check engine light on my brand-new Ford E350 Motorhome. I initially returned the RV to Camping World, where I purchased it, but they told me it was a "Ford problem" and that they were backed up for months. I then tried Fremont Ford, Sunnyvale Ford, and Mission Ford, but none of them could figure out the issue, despite the Engine Code PO453 indicating an evap leak. I was also hesitant to take my motorhome to a non-Ford repair shop because of warranty concerns. As an RV owner, I couldn't in good conscience take my family on long trips with the check engine light on. At C&E's recommendation, I contacted Ford Warranties and was informed that only Fairfield Ford could work on my motorhome, but they were also backed up for months. Frustrated, I filed a claim to have the vehicle repaired at a non-Ford location, which led me to C&E Trucking. C&E correctly diagnosed the issue as a faulty evap sensor. Unfortunately, the sensor was tied to the fuel system, which required a more extensive repair. They completed the work, and after two years of driving with a check engine light, the problem was finally resolved. This experience taught me an important lesson: big corporations like Ford lack the "local, family-owned business touch" that makes a difference. Their large-scale operations and mass hiring practices often mean their mechanics aren't as skilled or attentive as those at smaller shops. In fact, even Ford employees couldn't direct me to the right place to get my vehicle fixed. C&E Trucking, on the other hand, exceeded all expectations. Liz and her father own the shop, and their dedication to quality service shines through in every interaction. You can feel the pride and care of a family-owned business in the way their employees operate. C&E is hands-down one of the best auto repair shops in the Bay Area. Highly recommend--5 stars!

After I told him my make and model, he suggested I pick up a replacement headlight bulb just in case and told me to come in anytime--no appointment needed. When I arrived, he immediately came out, had me open the hood, and took a look on the spot. Within less than 3 minutes, he had the new bulb installed and working perfectly. What really stood out was what happened next--I asked how much I owed him, and he told me there was no charge. That level of honesty and kindness is rare these days. John didn't try to upsell me, didn't waste my time, and didn't treat a small job like it wasn't worth his attention. He handled it with professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care. Because of that, Doral Auto Repair has earned my trust. The next time I need any work done on my car, this is exactly where I'm going. Highly recommend.

If you do go there beware of the gentleman at front desk with glasses and a goofy hat. I give three stars because it seemed pretty fast (24 hours) and because i know i cant be certain about work condition, although i did notice some of the tools there were low quality harbour frieght brand. I was stranded, traveling in my van. I feel that John treated me with prejudice because I was traveling in a van. I wasn't invited to have coffee or snacks, I struggled to find the restroom, and I walked out of there to a hotel 2 miles away twice without being offered a ride. No one tried to shake my hand. Employment is rarely empowerment. Predators dont make themselves known.

During that visit, they recommended that I replace my timing chain. After having such a positive experience with the radiator repair, I decided to move forward with the timing chain service as well. While working on my car, they also found a few other worn parts, including a hose and spark plugs. Because I had delayed several repairs over the years, they helped identify what needed attention to keep my car running reliably. They were able to get the parts at a great price and worked with me on the labor costs, making the overall repair very reasonable. What really stood out was the communication. When I called to check on my car, the mechanic was still working on the timing chain repair and offered to send photos of the progress. He also shared his Instagram, where he posted stories explaining the repair process and showing exactly what was being done. It was helpful to see the work in real time and better understand the repairs. I actually found this shop because I used to go to the gas station nearby, and I'm very glad I gave them a chance. My BMW is running great now, and I truly appreciate the honesty, fair pricing, and quality service.

The first time, we had the system recharged and it seemed to have leaked out again. Not good in a sealed system. We took the car to Big O but they couldn't figure out what the issue might be. They suggested that we bring it by Brake & Wheel Center. Monte offered to look into it for $200, which would be subtracted from whatever the cost of repairs would be. After looking into it, he found a Service Bulletin issued by Honda. A Service Bulletin from Honda is not a Recall but notifies dealers that if the problem presents itself, Honda will pay for the repairs. We took the car to Honda who told us that it could cost us $200 for them in look into the problem but if the issue was as described on the Service Bulletin, then there would be charge. After they looked into it, Honda called me and stated that Brake & Wheel Center was correct and that Honda would pay to fix the air conditioning problem. We really wish that the mechanic that we had taken the CR-V to a couple years earlier would have found the Service Bulletin. Needless to say, we'll never go there again. This long-winded story was to let you know how we found Brake & Wheel Center. It had been recommended to us by Mario at Big O. Now that Mario is retired, we need someone dependable to take care of our routine maintenance needs. I went by and chatted with Monte. Told him what we needed, asked for a quote and when his shop would have time for us. All we needed was an oil & filter change with tire rotation. I made an appointment for 8am the following Wednesday. I dropped off the car at 8:15 and got a call from Monte at 10:31 telling me that the work was complete. I paid a little more than I would have at Big O (Big O tires are rotated for free) but the work was done quickly. What more could one ask for?

I replied my tires only had 38,000 miles which is midlife. According to AI, it is a "shop choosing convenience and profit over proper diagnosis". Beware.

The inside is very clean and has a space for you to sit down and wait for any service you need. It has about 3-4 chairs and a work bench in case you are working on your laptop and need a place to put that down. [[ Service ]] Everyone was really nice including the two front desk people and the person who worked on my car. They determined that my nail was repairable/patch-able and I was very grateful. No upsell or anything and got me out of the door in 30 minutes for $45 to repair the flat. Couldn't have asked for better. P.S. I think if they got newer signs, it would make the outside look more appealing because it's truly a great shop.
