I didn't get to see it but I do understand if it's within an area from the side they can't repair it. There are a ton of pictures and articles that explain this online they even have state requirements. We had another vehicle that had a nail and it was well within the fixable area. Not dead in the middle but a lot closer than to the edge. I made an appointment and after waiting an hour I was told that it was too far and they needed to replace the tire. I asked where it was and he said he couldn't for sure see it but he saw bubbles towards the corner when he dunked it. I think I may have found the problem. It's almost comical, if bubbles coming from the bottom move around they go up! It may look like it's on the side but it's not. Needless to say I put a patch on my own tire and it's working great. No leaks anymore. I am unsure if this is bad training, struggle to find good employees or a strategy to sell more tires.
