Sells to minors, store is okay overall. Some of the staff are friendly. Owner is not the nicest.

I can dig it, though, because sometimes I am that person. But also, sometimes I am not that person, and I'm especially not that person when I just want to find a fully stocked aisle of children's medicine (Tylenol in bubble gum flavor, in fact) at a good price. Thankfully, Bridge Street Market is a little bougie, but not so bougie that it loses its Midwest Meijer roots. Anyway, I picked up my children's Tylenol, but I also stopped by the wine section before I checked out. Bridge Street Market has a large and fun wine area. I say fun because they take the time to label some of the wines on display with tasting notes and other descriptors. I was in the Italian section, so I picked up a bottle of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, just based on how it was displayed on the shelf. The merchandising people at Bridge Street are doing a good job -- they made me pick up wine on a whim! (Which, to be honest, isn't that difficult, but still.) All of the checkout lanes are self-check-out, but there are people standing by to help.

This review is for Tom in the Meat Department! I'm in town…read morefor a short time and needed a standing rib roast for a small group celebrating a birthday. I called ahead of time and asked some questions, he was very informative. Later that day, I showed up with even more questions for Tom. He patiently answered them all and cut what ended up being the perfect amount of meat. I had just a little left over for some amazing breakfast tacos the next morning. In other stores I've been to, I don't usually get the kind of service he gave. I walked out confident (never having cooked a prime rib myself) that everything was going to be great. It truly was. Thank you, Tom and D & W!

Racks and pallets blocking entire aisles, product and merchandise on the floor, areas under construction that just look awful. Either complete the work overnight or temporarily close the store! There are usually minimal employees working and often the only option for checkout are the self-serve lanes. I liken the experience to the kind of place you would be sent on a side quest in a first-person zombie apocalypse video game. It's creepy, you waste time trying to find what you're looking for, and you are only happy when you gtfo. The best thing I can say about it is that it offers the local high school kids on off-campus lunch a place to buy a cheap meal or snack and now that the local Rite Aid is closed, it's the only place to buy package alcohol in Gaslight. The semi-recent overhaul and renovation of the Breton Village D&W made the Gaslight one look even worse by comparison. How this store managed to get THIS bad over the years is mind-boggling!
