It's in the building where Danny Mac's is located. When we entered, it was quite spacious and had a bunch of interesting artifacts. We were even more surprised when there was more space and more space with stuff. I want to say we walked the whole place but, probably not. My friend absolutely loved the train set. We thought we were lost at first but, someone told us the colored arrows point us in the right direction. Red-more stuff, Blue- restroom Yellow-cashier. That was a relief. We didn't buy anything however, we plan on coming back when we go to Butchertown. This place has everything from A to Z. Definitely worth checking out.

Now they have opened an additional area here too. Come and find your treasures here. The older stuff, it seems to look better and last longer than the cheap stuff from a big box store. Sometimes that big antique dresser or wardrobe cost more but it will last longer than you think. They have a huge selection of everything. The best of all things you want is here. You need some time to browse and relax as you shop. They have taken great care of the antiques here. It's organized by style. All the prices are posted, no guessing games . Now the service is just pleasant too. When you have questions you have to find someone but they are willing to help. Great attitudes. They have free parking across the street. The building is air conditioned. Come and make the new home have some Louisville charm.

After walking down the first aisle and looking to see all the other rooms and aisles, I was gob smacked. Wow, wow, and wow. The place is huge. The rows and rows of booths have all sorts of things that you may never have known that you needed. There are multiple aisles and rooms loaded with items. There are antiques, crafts, furniture, clothing, food items, jewelry, wall art, toys, tools, memorabilia, and more. Remember that half hour? Nah, didn't happen. I ended up spending an hour and a half browsing. It was great fun.

And I had found that it once again expanded even more within the giant warehouse it occupies. It is quite easy to get lost in the maze of booths, but you're guaranteed a lot to look at along the way. Fleur de Flea is as much of an experience as it is a shopping spot. There are several midcentury modern furniture booths, as well as others selling all manner of art, jewelry, books, clothes, records, plants and more. On my most recent visit, I came away with a book of the script of a show I really love and a fun T-shirt. Fleur de Flea also sells cocktails and other drinks if you'd like to sip while you shop, and it's very pet friendly. You're likely to see a pup shopping alongside its owner, and Fleur de Flea's resident doggo can be found sitting on the counter by the cash registers. This is a spot that is becoming uniquely Louisville for me. I love it so!

I got on the website and didn't see her but thought what the heck message the owner and see if it's still there. Yes she was waiting for me. I love unique pieces and love visiting antique stores when I travel. I will say my design visions are all over the place. However, when something calls to me...it calls to me. Aster isn't one of those "antique" stores where people throw on some chalk paint or hot glue some lace or add gold lead and call it an antique. Aster is selective and the layout isn't overwhelming and busy. They have a great eye and it actually calls to you not makes you feel smothered. Prices will reflect shopping at a vintage boutique. Saying that, they've been found, cleaned up and displayed at the store, which makes the pricing in alignment. I also appreciated how items were displayed and left with a couple of ideas for home. While I would have loved to walk out with a Belle of Louisville artwork, I couldn't convince myself to splurge. I left with a smaller item - a Louisville Stoneware "goodbye" sign for the back door. We got to meet the owner of the shop. She was lovely and engaged with all of her customers.
