We always visit Creswell Family Farms every strawberry picking season and it has become one of our favorite family traditions. All the strawberries they offer are really sweet and delicious, but my personal favorite is the Monterey variety. This place is perfect for families, especially with little kids. The farm is very family-friendly and the staff are always kind and accommodating. On April 10, we called ahead because it was already drizzling in Brentwood and we wanted to check if they were still open. They politely told us it wasn't raining there yet, so we decided to go. When we arrived, the rain eventually started pouring and we ended up being the only family picking strawberries. The staff still kindly allowed us to finish our picking before they announced they were closing for the day due to the rain. We truly appreciated their kindness and accommodation. Highly recommend this farm and we will definitely keep coming back for many more years!

My partner and I went there solely for the u-pick flower bouquet experience. The staff were so friendly and they had a variety of beautiful flowers to choose from. You also can't beat the price -- $10 for a jar, and you can fit as many flowers as you want in there! This was a great place to have a date. The pictures that we took here with the rows of flowers in the back turned out so cute, too. We really loved it, thank you!

Beautiful U-pick bouquets and delicious strawberries!

We had the best time! The strawberries were some of the most delicious we've ever had, and the beautiful variety of flowers made the experience even more special. We left with full bouquets and plenty of amazing strawberries to enjoy. This is a wonderful family-friendly destination with easy access, and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We can't wait to come back!

So many strawberries late in May. They were super sweet. Owners were super kind. There were so many varieties. I'm looking forward to coming back each year. I'm

What a blast! We had the best time hand picking the most delicious strawberries and building beautiful flower bouquets! The owner was incredibly kind giving our kiddos stickers and bubbles and making sure we had all that we needed for the perfect experience. We will be back!

We finally were able to Upick at this farm. last year, at their soft opening, we were late by 20'mins and the strawberries were all out. It was a bit frustrating and it isn't their fault This year, thanks to weekday openings, we were able to pick strawberries and also FLOWERS!! They have sunflowers for Upick. That is great because only other place I knew was far away from the East Bay, this was the Andreotti Family Farms in Half Moon bay. Now it saves us the drive and also the service was great. The strawberries were juicy! The picking experience was great because of the family who own this place. They were really nice, took time to talk to everyone and they were quite welcoming, again may be because it was a nice and quiet weekday but I have been to another farm on a weekday and it was okay!

    Strawberry picking!

Later on, we found out that section was already out of season. As we walked farther, we finally saw much better cherries, but most of the good ones were way too high to reach and there were no ladders available. There were some lower branches, but the cherries there were not great in quality, so we ended up picking only around 3 lbs. We then decided to switch to the peach and nectarine area hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately there was barely anything good to pick. Most of the fruits were either overripe, damaged, or already picked over. Overall, it felt like the farm should have better guidance on which sections are still worth visiting before customers pay and spend time walking around in the heat. The staff was fine, but the overall fruit quality and picking experience were disappointing for us this visit.

My daughter and I found what looked to be an unpicked cherry tree and went to work. It didn't take long for us to gather a bounty of cherries, and there was tons of low hanging fruit that was super easy for a petite seven-year-old to reach. Special thanks to the Freitas staff member who told us to pick dark cherries. The bright red ones look appealing but they need more time on the tree! We took home seven pounds of cherries. They were $4/pound and they take cash or credit cards. I checked their website before heading here (and recommend you do too!). We'll definitely be back to Freitas.

There was no signage indicating price/pound, and they give you a plastic bag to carry your cherries. When we got into the orchard, we noticed that most of the trees had been either picked clean or had berries that were rotten or too small/not ripe yet. We intentionally walked much further in to see if we could find some trees that hadn't been picked as much, but the orchard wasn't in great shape. We struggled to find cherries we actually wanted to pick, and we tripped a few times on the uneven dirt, weeds, and tubes running throughout. When we left, we weighed our cherries and confirmed they were $4/lb. Freitas also doesn't take credit card, so we had to pay with either cash or Venmo. We've previously been to The Cherry Pit and far preferred our experience there. The Cherry Pit had parking closer to the entrance, clear signage indicating price/lb, lots of high quality trees and ample cherries to pick, and accepts credit cards. The Cherry Pit also didn't ask us to sign a waiver before entering.

I go pick cherries at Chavez once a year for 7-8 years now. I wake up very early and try to get there right when they open so that I don't get stuck in traffic. It can get crowded. Also, this can help you get a parking spot for sure. They do have a big parking lot though so it's probably okay. Price this year: $4/lb. They accept credit card now too. I love cherries here. They are quite big, sweet and a little tangi. Yummy!! Just make sure to be patient and don't pick the ones that are not that dark yet. Keep going until you find a good tree. Then you can commit to picking them. I've seen people that pick too many of the light pink color ones and then ended up threw them away so they don't have to pay. So bad. Tip: follow them on instagram to get the latest updates on hours and available fruits for picking. The place is quite large, so you'll need to pay for their tractor ride ($4) to get from station to station. We came around 10:00 a.m. on a Monday and the place wasn't crowded. We picked up our baskets and then let the kids place around their tree house for a little bit before getting on the tractor. Our first stop was peaches and apricots. The peaches were pretty low hanging, and the kids were so excited to pick them. However, there weren't that many ripe ones at this time. There were more ripe apricots, and they were sweet and juicy. Our next stop was the strawberry station where there were plenty of ripe strawberries. Our last stop was the cherry station. Our driver directed us to the last row where we could find ladders. Sure enough the cherries were plentiful and so sweet and juicy. There were even kid size ladders for the littles ones. The fruits were 100 times better than what you'll find at the grocery store, and the kids had so much fun picking their own fruits. If you need a fun activity with the kids, I high recommend coming here.
