Since it's Mother's Day weekend, my mom requested to go cherry picking and of course, her request is our command. We took her to one of our favorite spots for cherry picking, Diablo Cherries. Their cherries were incredibly sweet and fresh, definitely worth the trip. The price was a bit high at $4.50 per pound, but honestly, we don't mind since it's something we only get to enjoy once a year. Not sure if the other farms have the same pricing, but the experience and quality made it worth it for us.

One of the most dog friendly places in the Bay Area! Diablo cherries is a great pup activity and you get some of the best cherries around when picking! The staff is super friendly and the cherries are only $4.50 a pound. Highly recommend!

First time cherry picking in California and thought it was a very good experience. First things first ARRIVE EARLY!! Not only to beat the crowds, but to also beat the heat! We arrived around 8am and there were already about 10 cars parked in the very large parking lot. They have a variety of cherries BUT when we were there they did let us know that currently on the Santina cherries were ready to pick. When you arrive they have staff to give you instructions and hand you your buckets. Each row of cherries has a colored post indicating what cherries are growing there. There were plenty of cherries to pick from and extremely good! I was thinking that there would be spiders, bugs, dirt and so forth covering these cherries but they were all very clean! Once you gather your cherries, you head out back to the entrance where they weigh it and you pay. Easy Peasy. 100% would come back and this is a great place to bring kids to have them experience something new.

Our first time visiting and Love the friendly staff along the varieties of cherries they offered ! The only recommendation is they don't offer a portable handwashing area like the last couple 3 I visit Definetly be back for more cherries

We came here for the first time, got there around 9 to beat the heat and the crowds and it was great! We received a warm welcome as a first timer at the farm, first time cherry picking for my husband, they gave us a rundown of where to go look for different cherry varieties. We were a little nervous, the weekend after memorial day, that the cherries were going to be picked through but we ventured a little bit further out and there were still plenty to choose from! We went in thinking we were going to just pick a couple of pounds since a full bucket is about 10lbs which is definitely way too much for the 2 of us to eat. Well, we had such a good time here that we left with almost a full bucket weighing in at 9lbs. We're not going to make it back again before season ends but we will for sure come again next year! I would absolutely give this farm 10 stars if I could!

Yay for consistency over the years! Great service and attitude on top of great cherries. We missed last year being too late for cherry season and thought we were too soon this year. Very happy they were open during the week and had so many great cherries - 3 varieties mainly: Ranier, Coral, and Black Pearl. It was a little harder getting the Black Pearl, which was the favorite of all 3 of us. We wished there were ladders like other orchards because we could see some up top out of reach that look perfect! However, moving down several rows, there were some readily available and we found lots! So, all was well... keep going! Thank you for another great season Diablo Cherries!

I took my mom to Diablo Cherries for Mother's Day and had a great time! I don't remember the woman's name in the front, however she was super welcoming and let us know which cherries were ready for picking and her favorite type (which we ended up picking). I really love that they have the rows color coordinated by which type of cherries they are. I recommend bringing lots of water to stay hydrated as well as a hat to cover the hot sun. They accept cash and Venmo, for $4 a lb it's super worth it for these sweet plump cherries. I highly recommend this farm as it wasn't as packed as the usual other farms down the road. Thanks for the fun filled day Diablo Cherries!

Diablo Cherries is my new favorite place to pick cherries in the Brentwood area! The farm is clean and well organized. Cherries are organized by color and sectioned out with ample space to walk through the trees. The ground is not dusty like other farms but it can be a little muddy some days when the sun isn't as hot. The fruit are low hanging and pretty sweet. I wanted some Rainiers when I came but the Rainier cherries were too sour and not ready to be picked (2 weeks ago). Cherries are $4/lb and the workers are really nice! There are also picnic tables available if you wanted to pack a bite. They are dog friendly. Overall, I absolutely recommend this place for family fun cherry picking!

Emily said "come back in 2 weeks & the cherries will be in their prime", boy, was she ever right! We came back yesterday & the cherries are even bigger & sweeter!!! No kidding!!! We were going to limit ourselves to 5 pounds each but ended up picking about 25 pounds. There were gorgeous Lapins, Corals, Rainiers, & even some Black Pearls left. Thanks again Diablo for this late bounty.

What a fun n experience! Cherries are big and sweet! Lots of variety. Parking is free. They provide buckets. $4/lb. Cash or Venmo. Bring a lot of drinking water and a hat it can be hot. We went between 12-2pm. Overall great day for cherry picking!!

    Great for toddlers and preschoolers

Our first picking experience with the kids and it was AMAZING! Perfect height for our 3yo and stroller accessible for our 1yo. In fact we had so much fun that we went twice, 50lbs picked in all and stocked in the freezer or cooked into jam. We would've picked more of the best cherries we've ever eaten but wouldn't know where to put them. All staff were delightful, happy to point you in the right direction or chat about the farm. Simply lovely people. Can't wait until next year!

Later on, we found out that section was already out of season. As we walked farther, we finally saw much better cherries, but most of the good ones were way too high to reach and there were no ladders available. There were some lower branches, but the cherries there were not great in quality, so we ended up picking only around 3 lbs. We then decided to switch to the peach and nectarine area hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately there was barely anything good to pick. Most of the fruits were either overripe, damaged, or already picked over. Overall, it felt like the farm should have better guidance on which sections are still worth visiting before customers pay and spend time walking around in the heat. The staff was fine, but the overall fruit quality and picking experience were disappointing for us this visit.
