His design was exactly what we needed. We still have a few more months of snow (meaning we need to get through the spring snow). We are happy that the two walls have been doing the job it was built for. No more worries of the water encroaching on the house.

Working with salesman Chad was a pleasure as he was responsive, listened to our ideas, & came up with the design the same day. On the day of the project the team of installers showed up bright and early, and despite an hour long torrential downpour in the middle of the job, the crew finished the job in a single day. They took care of everything: prepping the lawn & ripping out the sod, grading the ground, installing 65' of edging, distributing the rocks, and hauling away & disposing of all the yard waste. And when they left, you'd never know they'd been there all day as they cleaned up every trace and left no debris behind. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, we felt the pricing was competitive & fair, and we look forward to conserving water & the lower water bill. This service entity makes big promises but under-delivers. We contracted with the because they are…read morea faith-based organization and because so many locals defined them as the best. Unfortunately, they fell far short. The following is a list of the shortcomings as we experienced them: 1) Multiple attempts to get the imaging of our home and surrounding properties for the initial design and consultation phase. The technician that came to the property had to be here three times before they got all the measures and images correct - in the end, they did not get the existing/remaining plantings in the drawings. 2) The design did not consider the topography and drainage needs. We had to demand a review of the property to get them on board. 3) The design consultation was held on Zoom - no problem there. We had to send the design back several times before they incorporated all of the elements we asked for. We did not ever land on a "wonderful" design and they still have not provided a comprehensive plan including irrigation needs and the existing elements of our landscape that would not be adjusted. 4) When we asked for the delivery of designs that met the promised criterion, they tried to collect more money. They considered the times we had to send the plans back due to their mistakes, a part of the revisions. 5) They were regularly slow to respond to email - it took all summer to get our plans in hand. 6) The plan is nothing outstanding - it's a pretty boring plan without achieving the look and feel we described in our multiple meetings. It was as though they did not want to hear what we were asking for. I do not recommend this company for design services. We remain dissatisfied and do not feel this was a good value for our investment.

The biggest concerns were the lack of proper…read moresubgrade preparation, the lack of transparency, and the difficulty getting clear, consistent answers throughout the process. I specifically chose and paid extra for high early cement because my goal was to regain access to my garage parking as soon as possible. I expected clear guidance on the product's performance and realistic timelines. Instead, I received conflicting information ranging from not being able to walk on the concrete for 48 hours to not being able to park on it for anywhere from 2-10 days. When I asked for clarification, the responses were vague. Liftech's production manager stated, "There are no specific specs for high early since it is mixed with concrete at the plant," and also said, "There is varying information because no concrete is created equally." I would expect concrete professionals and concrete plants to have more consistent information regarding the product being installed. Another major concern was the subgrade preparation. Liftech subcontracted the concrete work, and when the crew arrived, they did not even have a compactor onsite. I asked the workers if they planned to compact the subgrade, and based on their responses and actions, it did not appear that proper compaction was part of their plan until I contacted their Project Manager and requested that a compactor be brought to the site. The subbase also does not appear to have been watered down as part of the preparation process. The video speaks for itself regarding the preparation that was completed before the concrete was poured. For a project of this size and cost, I expected better communication, transparency, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, my experience left me questioning both the workmanship and the information provided throughout the process.

After it was taken over by weeds and dug up by our schnauzer a few too many times, it was time to do it right. Cody came out for an estimate and design consultation. He is such a great guy who explains how it all works, gives you a reasonable number of options (helpful for me to not have information overload), and gets things moving. And for the work itself, these guys work hard and nonstop when the job begins. They show up on time and work full speed from morning until evening to get the job done. They build the patios in ways that work for Colorado weather, and they actually specialize in pavers, instead of a landscape company that doesn't do these types of patios nonstop. Paver patios are not cheap, but they're also not something you should do on your own unless you absolutely know what you're doing. If you're looking at redoing your outdoor space or patio, you should absolutely give these guys a look.

Our assigned project manager, Jeremy, was friendly and very professional, had insurance and license info ready at hand when asked, produced a reasonable quote, and did great follow up. The work crew, Freddy and Rigo, were absolutely fabulous.... Neatly and properly dressed, super courtesy while quietly working with the least amount of noise possible, never yelling or blasting music or slamming things around, and they were industrious throughout the day despite the 100 degree heat. These guys were very respectful of the property, demonstrated attention to detail in their work: measuring twice, using levels to make the wall perfect, were careful when moving equipment and product, and when using tools/machinery. They also cleaned up the job site... cleaner than when they first arrived! They didn't damage any plants, and left not a trace of their presence. With other companies and contractors, I have found water bottle caps, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, trampled flowers, bark kicked out on sidewalks, manufacturer stickers/labels laying around from products used or installed, nails or stains left on various surfaces; but this crew of Little Guy Pavers was just the opposite, and just excellent! He was also successful in convincing me to consider a new strain of rhizomatous tall fescue over blue grass, with the former being resistant to drought and requiring less water to maintain. It looks great! His crew worked extremely hard and paid attention to detail while completing the project. Aspenwood had the right equipment to do an excellent job in soil prep, which included 15 tons of soil treatment. At the completion of the project, Omar (their crew chief) was meticulous in adjusting the sprinkler heads to their original state. Aspenwood Landscape is involved in other forms of landscaping, and I will be using them again in the future.
