This review is directed squarely at Michelle Gandy, the manager of this Cricket Wireless location, because the behavior I experienced reflects a clear failure of leadership.
I visited this store around 3:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025, seeking help because my phone would not charge or turn on. I explained calmly that I wanted to understand what my options are such as repair, upgrade, or replacement depending on cost. What I encountered instead was hostility, constant interruptions, and an environment that felt uncomfortable and confrontational.
From the moment I walked in, there was no greeting or basic courtesy. As I explained my situation, I was repeatedly cut off and pushed toward financing a new phone without being allowed to fully speak or ask questions. When I mentioned having a budget and possibly needing a less expensive option, the attitude immediately worsened.
The situation crossed the line from rude to unacceptable when I put on my jacket and said I was going to step outside briefly while waiting for my phone to power on. I was accused of going to Metro PCS next door. This was an accusation that was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and hostile. As I left, muttered remarks were made instead of any attempt to de-escalate or help. Another employee, Ray, stood by and did nothing.
After the fact, I learned that Michelle Gandy is the manager of this location, which explains a lot. When this is the tone set by management, it's no surprise the staff behaves this way. Poor training, aggressive sales pressure, and disrespect toward customers don't happen by accident, they come from the top.
I have been a Cricket customer for over ten years, and this single visit was enough to convince me to leave the carrier once my current service period ends. I had my phone repaired successfully at a shop up the street the same day, proving that I was not given honest or helpful guidance here.
If this store continues to be managed this way, it will not survive. Customers do not return to places where they are talked over, accused, and treated like problems instead of people. This location doesn't just have a staff issue, it has a management problem, and until that changes, the reviews will continue to reflect it.
