This is the third time I could write a 5-star review for Computer Solutions in Sunset Hill. The…read more1st time was years ago when I was living in the country taking care of a family member. My computer was having problems, and I couldn't leave home. Someone drove all the way to where I lived and repaired my computer in a single visit. I was so relieved since I really depended on my computer. The 2nd time was last year when a different computer (a very heavy 27" iMac) needed to go into the shop for repair. There's no way I could have carried the computer, so someone from Computer Solutions came and picked up the iMac and took it to the shop for repair and afterwards returned it. Again, such a relief! The 3rd time was last week. My computer had crashed, and not only was I facing the loss of my computer but, more importantly 10 years of precious data. I had conferred with Apple tech by phone, and they were unable to do anything. I brought my machine to Computer Solutions, and in a very short time they were able to repair my computer and thus preserve all of my data. It felt like a miracle, and I was thrilled. My special thanks to Michael who was so knowledgeable, friendly and reassuring. The cost of the repair was much less than I had anticipated and, best of all, my computer was up and running. What a great experience!

I made a very bad decision, one that I'm not likely to forget when I tried Comer Computer. I was…read morehaving issues with my laptop not holding a charge & since I receive a great deal of medical info via internet, yes, I needed my computer. He had it from Friday morning from 10:25am- approx same time of the day on the following Monday 05/09/2015. I made 2 trips to the business on Saturday 5/7/2016, each time trying to see if & when I would be able to get the computer back. Then, Darryl Comer choose to send me a vial & threatening voice mail stating he is refusing to do the repair, he threatened me if I he ever saw me close to his business beside picking up my laptop. I picked up my laptop after it sitting amongst a computer graveyard. I asked for my deposit back and the gal working slowly moved a stack of empty boxes that blocked a sign stating deposit will not be returned if customer choose for them to not do the repair. Darryl Comer made that decision, NOT ME! This was a matter of principle. I don't care if it was $1 or $25., he made all of the decisions including not touching my laptop. So, I contacted my CC and of course I was going to appeal the charge. So, I gave my version and Comer gave a very different one UPDATE: After a complete investigation I was refunded the deposit Comer refused to return, By phone he said my laptop needed a piece & would need to be ordered, when I did get it repaired the following day, a group of 20+ professionals all looked at each other a bit dumbfounded when I told them what piece he said he had to order. They said they had never even heard of it.

The record store portion of the business featured a very good selection of alphabetically- sorted used rock vinyl, including many import pressings ... as well as a few new LPs (including recent RSD releases). Budget-priced discs were in crates below and behind the primary inventory. They also had some jazz, blues, folk/country, and a few classical records. They even had two different releases by my favorite 60's band, Moby Grape!! While the records alone would have brought me back to this store, fully half of their location is dedicated to high-end hi-fi equipment: turntabless, CD players, amp, speakers, etc. I have been wanted to rebuild my home audio for over 30 years ... but after several major geographic relocations, I no longer knew where to start. Well folks, this is it! Mike, the owner, is extremely knowledgable in all matters stereo - and will demo different set-ups at your request. Very high end, audiophile equipment.
