My phone had been cracked for the past two months when I dropped It again and I was completely unable to use my phone. I took it to Skinny's and it took about 45 minutes to fix my screen. I believe it cost around $170. I knew they would do quality work, so I had no problem paying the price. I can definitely tell the difference in the quality of my screen. Not crazy about either price, but def not crazy about the price of a new phone at over $1K. Who has that to just throw around, amiright?! So, knowing third party repair places can offer better deals, I checked these guys out, and here's where the reasons for the props come in: First, No appointment needed! Just come on in and they can get it done. So much less stress than wandering to an Apple Store after making an appointment online, waiting for an advisor...OMG, I'm getting so bored just writing that that I want to take a stress nap. Second, two repair options, and both are under $200!! Let's see... almost $400 or...less than $300...no brainer. Sure, it's not an "official" Apple repair, but, whatever...it's not like I have a new model phone still under warranty, and the screen seems just fine after I got it back and tapped my grubby fingers all over it to write this review. Third, repair time was UNDER AN HOUR!!! Try to get an oil change in that amount of time! With Apple I'd be looking at *hopefully* at best, same day. At worst...days later getting my phone back. I don't know about you, and I'm slightly ashamed to admit this, but my phone is like the third arm that I wasn't born with but eventually got, and so it goes everywhere with me. Almost. But it's greatly missed when it's not on me, and I feel like a kid lost in the woods--how can I navigate with my GPS?!?, I don't know what lunch places are around although I've lived here for 15 years!!!, how do I call my family?!? The store returned it to me shattered, completely unusable, and literally in TWO PIECES. All of this extra damage happened while the phone was in their possession, yet they refuse to take responsibility. They gave us the option of having the old parts put back on the phone -- which we agreed to -- but then they stalled for HOURS and never actually put the parts back on. After repeated excuses and missed timelines, we finally requested our phone back. Instead of being upfront, they handed it to us destroyed and acted like that was acceptable. It was obvious they broke the device during the repair attempt and then tried to cover it up by dragging out the process. And to make things worse, they tried to blame Asurion, even though Asurion had nothing to do with the additional damage they caused. I'm now left with a phone their team destroyed and a store that refuses to fix or replace it. This was the most dishonest and irresponsible service I've ever experienced. Do NOT bring your phone here unless you're prepared to get it back in pieces. Additionally: I know they will respond on here trying to resolve the issue for (others to see) but I have emails from their case manager, Jennifer refusing to take any accountability. I will NOT take my phone back and I will NOT refer this place to anyone.

I contacted a bunch of electronics repair shops on yelp for quotes and this was both the fastest to reply to me, the shortest repair time, and the lowest price by $50-$150 compared to the other shops. They had to ship in the part in cuz I have a less common phone, but it arrived next day! (other companies I got quotes from said 3-4 days before it would even arrive). They wanted a $20 deposit for the part order that I was able to pay online. The part arrived next day, and I brought in my phone. It only took 45 min to replace my screen and get me on my way. Fast service and cost slightly less than the quoted flat rate. Highly recommend 10/10
