She was greeted by two young ladies and after she explained a little of what was happening, one of the young ladies told her that she probably wasn't paying her bill. Which upset my stepmother. Then the young lady said, "You're probably "bootlegging", your Uverse.". My stepmom is in her seventies and has no idea what "bootlegging" meant as far as technology goes. My stepmother then asked to speak to a manager and the response she received was, to call the 800 number. If this is how AT&T is going to treat their customers, then I think it's time for a change. Obviously their employees need classes on respect.

As a matter of fact, they are sending my name to a credit bureau with the hopes of adversely impacting my credit. I have reached out to the postal service and they state Newgistics picked up the packet. I have tried reaching them to no avail. I am angry as I was a loyal customer to AT&T for many years (up until Feb 14). The only reason I severed my relationship with AT&T is due to the fraudulent salesmanship at this local store. Thus far, the treatment that I have received has been deplorable. I have spoken to every dept at AT&T including management and no one is willing to help. Not sure what is going on with the smart label system, but I returned this device months ago. I don't know what to do. I refuse to be suckered into paying for a phone that I do not have in my possession.

Pretty sure this could have waited for a less busy time or even closing. Needless to say she was the talk of the line and we were all floored at the behavior.

He gave me a pamphlet with a number to call for ATT tech support - cause I pay for that in my plan - but he gave me the wrong dept, so I found out. I did call, and spoke with 2 different techs who went through the whole process, but couldn't resolve the issue! I remembered then that in the past, I'd gone to the ATT store at Harbor Point, by 53rd St and the people there had been exceptional. I went Saturday morning hoping and praying I could find help, and I did. A young woman named Shakani was so good at her job - knowledgeable AND courteous. Turns out my issue was a ridiculously easy fix! I almost started crying. Almost a week of frustration, 3 different people, and Shakani was able to fix it easily. I asked her WHY none of the others were able to do what she did, and she just smiled; never badmouthed the others, but only said: They could have. This woman has knowledge AND compassion - and obviously loves her job! I recommend EVERYONE go to that store; I bet the other techs there are as good as she is, too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

And I would never go anywhere else! I've watched so many people struggle with the Big Three companies (we all know who they are...), always some type of problem with them. From contracts and billing errors, to ridiculous rules for upgrading your phone, to the absolute nightmare of dealing with the sales people, and even managers, in their stores! Beeper Depot is the complete opposite! ALL of their staff (some of which have been there since my first visit! For example: Nikki aka Wonder Woman!) all of them are so knowledgeable, helpful, and unbelievably patient! They are fast and efficient, but never at the cost of leaving a customer confused about how to use their new phone, or any other questions they may need answered. Most of the staff (maybe even all) is bilingual - which is extremely important these days to insure that everyone gets the same helpful service. Honestly, I look forward to going in to upgrade my phone, because it is always a fun and exciting experience!
