On a whim we stopped by Crispy Cones and overall we were happy that we did. The soft serve is very good and I liked the topping options. I was able to get walnuts and raspberry sauce, my partner got strawberries. We both just got cups as the dough cones seemed like too much at the time, but could be a unique treat to try. They have a monthly flavor that appears to rotate for the cones. Service was quick and the folks working were nice enough. They have indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Ice cream is basic soft serve on their crispy cone which is like a puff pastry. You can add a spread inside the cone and toppings as well. Service was quick and friendly and the dining area was clean. However, I probably won't go back as I've had better ice cream and didn't care for the cone. You might though! I've been here a couple of times. Always had a great experience. Very unique ice cream cones. I love all the flavors & toppings. I love that they switch it up often with the flavors they have. Fun new place to try with the kids! The cones were good. I tried the special cone with crushed up werthers coating it and I liked it better than the original cone! The coating, toppings and sauces were all good and fun way to be able to completely customize your ice cream. I will say that they only have vanilla and chocolate ice cream and their vanilla is very bland. They had a sign at my kids eye level with all different colors of ice cream so when they didn't have pink ice cream it was a problem lol. Ok this place is def hidden on Antelope Dr, it's kinda behind Cane's parking lot. Very cute inside and they have coloring sheets and crayons for the littles, it was sweet to have! So all they have here is soft serve. I'm not a fan of soft serve being so expensive, however I see why. The scones are amazing. So delicious! I don't love the way they dress them up though. All the flavor and fun is literally in the scone. The outside is lacking in flavor and appeal. I think it would be better if the toppings.were a bit crumbly and dipped on the scone, but other than that I would def recommend trying it at least once! Fun place! read more

The staff was very friendly and there is a very positive vibe inside. They explained the ordering process really well and the menu is nice and simple. The icecream comes really fast as well, and even with a line, it moves pretty smooth. There isn't a ton of seating inside but once the opening rush slows down it might be better. The pricing is a little high, and I wish there were more toppings. I got three small slices of strawberries and a little drizzle of Nutella. I would have appreciated a little more. They had a crowd eating the day we visited. Our experience was that they were out of a lot of the ingredients. Odd for early afternoon. We were put off though because the price was still the same regardless of not having all the ingredients for their offerings. We got a very overpriced ice cream that did not taste good at all. This place is awesome! We found it on a whim and I'm so glad we stumbled onto it. It is a new take on soft serve and we absolutely loved it! My 3 year old devoured his ice cream crispy cone! Shelly was the best! She walked us through how to order and gave her recommendations. She even brought out crayons for my son to draw. The service could not have been better. She was a sweetheart. Went there today to try the flavor of the week which is supposed to be orange and chocolate . We are given the cones and sit down to eat and neither of us can taste orange . Tried to get the workers attention but they were in a personal phone call that they were more interested in . I tell the worker that we think that they gave us chocolate and vanilla . She then dispenses the orange out of the machine and grabs a spoon and is eating it . No idea of what she thought this was going to do . Then she tells me that the orange flavor is really lightly flavored and you cannot taste it when it is paired with the chocolate . I am thinking to myself then why advertise that as the flavor of the week . $17.00 for two cones that you can't taste the flavor that they are recommending for the week makes absolutely no sense . It self-service which means rather than somebody familiar with the menu helping customers, everyone has to figure out how to use the kiosks. Ordering is slow and cumbersome. I couldn't stand it. Also, the ice cream is your run of the mill frozen yogurt. Nothing special. Given that, it's significantly overpriced. Their big differentiator is the cone and it's somewhat of a gimmick. It was fun to take the family here once but I doubt we'll be back anytime soon. I will say the bathrooms were very clean and had little stools for kids. read more

This met my expectations! I loved the crispy cone. It was more donut texture than churro texture. There are so many options. You can get a cone with ice cream or without and there are so many toppings available. They had coloring pages and crayons available. It was clean. We were excited to try this place after hearing the hubbub about it. Right out of the gate I was irritated. Two basic cones came to 18.73. I skipped the tip screen, I'm not tipping on ice cream cones. Despite skipping the tip screen (which started at 20%) it still added 1.83 "tip" to the total. Unacceptable. I don't understand why a business owner thinks this is an acceptable practice. At nearly twenty bucks for two ice cream cones, you don't need to be asking customers to subsidize employee wages. That's YOUR job. They also had a tip jar next to the cash register for good measure. I mean come on......its embarrassing. As for the ice cream cones.....meh. It's just basic soft serve, just like you would get at McDonald's. (Much cheaper too) The cone was odd. Not crispy, pretty thick, doughy and more like bread. Not even sweet like pastry dough. I was expecting more of a churro type of consistency, not lumpy, dense bread with a scoop of soft serve in it. Don't waste your money here, if you need your ice cream fix go to Handel's.
