Cristina and her second-shooter, Konstantin, are beyond amazing. When we first started searching for a wedding photographer in Chicago, we were overwhelmed, as there are so many options. However, Cristina's portfolio quickly caught our attention. Specifically, we noticed her nighttime portraits and the excitement and energy that each one captured. I had never seen photos that were so beautiful. After speaking with her and looking over her packages, we knew that she was the one. There are so many wonderful things to say about Cristina, so this post will be a little long. But most importantly (to me), Cristina is incredibly responsive. Before and after the wedding, she responded to each of my emails within 24 hours, no matter how small or silly the question. She was always kind, straight-forward, and patient. A few months before our wedding, I saw in one of her Instagram posts that Cristina offers hybrid (film + digital) packages. Since our venue was very romantic and garden-esque, we knew that we wanted to benefit of both mediums. It was one of the best decisions that we made in the wedding planning process. Obviously, everyone knows that Cristina's digital images look as if they were taken straight out of a high fashion magazine, but to me, her film images are even more beautiful. She was able to capture such vibrant colors and soft images. I honestly can't stop staring them. Also, I can't imagine that our day would have run as smoothly with any other photographer. Cristina kept everyone on schedule. My day-of coordinator actually told us that she was one of the best photographers that she's worked with. After the wedding, we received so many photos, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I love all of them. We have so many images perfect for printing and hanging, but she also captured our guests and our interactions with them. I think many people underestimate how meaningful those photos end up being. We are able to look back and see our family and friends enjoying themselves on the dance floor, and we weren't able to enjoy all of those moments on our wedding day, as we were so busy mingling. I look back at the photos, and they take me right back to that day. And finally, we ordered our wedding album and parent albums through Cristina. That process was seamless, and we are blown away by the quality of the albums. (I've actually had five people reach out to me to ask where I had them made.) When we requested to get photos at the place we met--Wrigley Field--on a game day, she leaned in and embraced the whole experience to get us 100s of amazing shots in our special place. Hands down, Cristina is the best photographer out there!! She is incredibly professional, honest, passionate about what she does, and will not put down the camera until she is happy with all of her shots. It has taken me awhile to write this review because I could not decide how to best approach it and give Cristina the proper outstanding review she deserves. Words cannot express how wonderful it was to work with her and the pure magic she works with the camera. Cristina was HANDS DOWN the best vendor I hired for our wedding this past May (2016). I have received the most marvelous complements about our wedding photos and she captured beautiful memories that we can cherish for the rest of our lives. We used her for both our engagement photos and wedding photos-- we couldn't have been happier. The planning process with Cristina went very smoothly. She is a pro and knew what questions to ask to be extremely organized for the big day. She checked in with us often before the wedding to make sure that we were all on the same page. During the day she was in places I never knew she was and captured some very intimate and rare moments that not all photographers are capable of. She was so stealthy! We also had Constantine as our second photographer who was also great! Another plus was that she kept us more on schedule than the day of coordinator we hired and made sure we received all the shots we wanted. It is hard to believe she only has four reviews on Yelp as her work is phenomenal and it seems like she is doing another gorgeous wedding every weekend (book early!). It is hard to describe but the quality is evident. She has a great eye for details as well as the beauty and unique moments of each wedding she shoots. Incredible Pictures!!! We found Cristina online after an extensive search. We choose her because of all the excellent reviews and awards we found. When we met her for our initial meeting she was extremely helpful and put us at ease with the whole process. Prior to our wedding she actually shot my future sister in laws wedding and did a magnificent job. It was great knowing that we were dealing with a professional, as it was one less thing to worry about during the big day. When we were planning our wedding, I did not have a lot of "must-haves." The exception to this, was that I HAD to have Cristina as my photographer. I had seen her work before and knew that she would be the one that would capture my day in the best way. She completely exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier with our choice to have her as our photographer. From day 1, Cristina made us feel like we were family and that she was going to treat our wedding as such. She took a lot of time, both in person and over the phone, to go over our vision and to ensure the moments that were most important to us were captured. One of the things that I appreciated the most about Cristina's planning process is that she provided us with a questionnaire several weeks before our wedding day and asked us details about our wedding vendors but, more importantly, she asked us to provide her with the names of our family members (we did not have a bridal party) and to specify what group photos we wanted. The reason this stood out to me so much is that I felt like it was a great way for my husband and I to put some time and thought over the pictures we wanted. I have friends and family who were so disappointed when they got married because they forgot to tell their photographer on the wedding day to make sure a certain picture was taken. Because we were able to plan, this took all of that stress off of us on the wedding day. On the wedding day, Cristina took charge and was able to move everything along in a timely manner. Anyone that has been in a wedding or has attempted to take large group pictures know how difficult that is to do, but Cristina make it look easy! Not only does Cristina's work speak for itself, but she is a fantastic person. We loved having her with us on our wedding day, and you could tell that she was invested in us and wanted to provide us with the best experience. Our pictures and our album completely blew us away. We have so many friends who have told us that our pictures look like they belong in a magazine because of how beautifully Cristina took them and the vision she put together for each one. My wife and I couldn't be more thrilled and appreciative of the work that Cristina and her crew did on our wedding day. We first met Cristina at her office in Chicago where we got to learn about her and her background and we immediately felt comfortable. This was the perfect person to shoot our engagement and wedding photos. Cristina showed extreme flexibility. My wife (then fiancé) wanted engagement photos along the Chicago lakefront, however part of the beach was blocked off making it a challenge to get great shots. Cristina could have told us "oh well" but she suggested we walk ~15 minutes around the blockage to get to an area that would allow us to capture the shots. She didn't have to do that, but she did and all with a smile on her face. Of course, the shots came out incredible. I don't know much about photography, but a critical aspect that we were looking for was someone who could take control of the process, but also be very flexible, creative, patient, and of course friendly. Cristina and her crew struck a perfect balance on all of those aspects, and it was extremely impressive. We were blessed to have no rain on our wedding day, but we did get hit with a major heat wave which led to 100+ degree heat. Our wedding portraits and ceremony were shot outside. It was amazing how composed Cristina and the staff were working through the heat. Never once complaining, always asking us if we needed anything (they ran and brought us cookies, water and orange juice to keep us fueled). I couldn't imagine a better group of people to have shot our portraits. They were very understanding and very helpful. I don't need to provide my opinion on her work because it frankly speaks for itself. We were amazed and thrilled with how our photos turned out. We haven't seen our full wedding portfolio yet, but I have no doubt that they will come out as strong as our engagement photos. I cannot say enough good things about Cristina G Photography! My (now) husband and I are self diagnosed as "creative peoples" and we really wanted something "different" in our wedding photographer. We actually started meeting with photographers before we booked our venue! We met with Bella Photography and DID NOT feel good about the fact that they have you meet with a consultant until they choose a photographer for you from a database, but ultimately you work with the consultant. From the first meeting with Cristina, there was an immediate connection. It was almost cosmic, if that's possible! She is lively, upbeat, and personal - everything you want in someone who is with you ALL DAY! We immediately booked with her after seeing her samples. Cristina most definitely has an "eye" for pictures - color, detail, you name it - she's got it! All of her packages come with an engagement shoot so you get to try her out! It was raining outside for our enagement pics but have no fear, she keeps umbrellas in her car...?! Wow, definitely prepared for everything! She also brought an associate photographer, who was amazing as well. She made us feel comfortable (despite my then-fiance being hungover! grr!) and the results were definitely there. A few days before the wedding, Cristina said she would do a walk-around of the church and surrounding areas to get an idea. Me, being a huge control freak, I asked if I could meet up with her and discuss my ideas and the timeline. We went over everything together and she made me feel way less stressed! The day of the wedding was everything I could ask for. Cristina was organized, showed up to my house on time, and directed the show. I'm obsessed with photography; this was my toughest choice. I scoured websites, reviews, and had 4 interviews with my "finalists" before immediately selecting Cristina G. Cristina G is...phenomenal. She did way more than just capture our important day; she captured our happiness & our love! I am blown away looking at these pictures because I can't believe it is US in some of them! As soon as we sat down with her, my husband and I knew there was something special about her (not kidding-we were giggly after she left because we knew we found "the one!") As soon as she got to my reception, she started exploring, and she found where the car was parked. The hood was popped and an entire toolbox full of stuff was inside by the engine. It didn't look promising, but she found the owner, asked if we could get inside and close the hood as well to take a couple pictures in there. He told her she could do whatever she wanted. There are no words to describe how awesome those end-of-the-night car shots are. They're fun, sexy, vintage, romantic. They brought us to some beautiful locations for pictures including the Adler Planetarium and The Art Institute...while I wish we could have gotten another location or a bit more variety in the photos, she was dealing with quite a large bridal party and a little bit of a time crunch! We used Cristina G Photography for our June 2016 wedding, and it was by far the best decision we made for our wedding day! Cristina was fun and had a good plan for our wedding day from our first meeting. Her pictures were clearly amazing, but she was also extremely organized and replied to emails within minutes, something that was also very important to us. Before our day, Cristina was very willing to meet and go over back-up plans for inclement weather. On the day of our wedding, Cristina and her crew came well before our planned starting time and started snapping shots immediately! Despite rain in the forecast for the day, Cristina remained extremely optimistic and even brought an additional person to help coordinate umbrellas and other equipment! Throughout the whole day, Cristina got amazing shots without us even noticing she was there - she was truly a photo ninja! Additionally, she was amazing at helping us pose for group photos, and made us feel like celebrities throughout the day. After our wedding, we were so excited to see our sneak peek photo literally hours after our reception ended. Our other photos were delivered within 6 weeks, which was exactly as promised. Our family and friends could not stop raving, and we felt like our photos truly captured our personalities and every element of our day was captured. My husband and I booked Cristina G Photography for our February 2019 wedding and could not be happier with our decision! When we first walked into Cristina's studio, we knew we were exactly where we were meant to be. From the moment we sat down and began describing our wedding photography visions, to reflecting back on our day while looking through our photos, Cristina and her team were the perfect choice who made all of our dreams come to life! We had a 30 person wedding party, yes- 15 bridesmaids and 15 groomsmen, and requested an 80+ person family photo at church-- it was no sweat to Cristina! I first became obsessed with Cristina's work after following her on Instagram so when it came time for me to select a photographer for my wedding there was no doubt I had to meet with her. After our initial meeting my husband and I both felt Cristina's amazing passion for what she does and knew we had to work with her. After being a bridesmaid in a wedding that Cristina shot, I knew that when my big day arrived, I had to have her! We were lucky enough to book her for both our engagement session and wedding; I say lucky for many reasons but one in particular being that she books up FAST... because who getting married in Chicago wouldn't want to have her photograph their day?! Both times, when we received our photos, they literally took our breath away. She is truly an artist. She takes locations that have been photographed thousands of times before and turns them into moments. If you don't know what I mean by this, all of you have to do is take a look at her work. My favorite part of looking through our photos is remembering taking a specific shot and then seeing how that moment was transformed thanks to Cristina's eye; she captures the unexpected. We have been overwhelmed by the compliments people have bestowed upon us after seeing only a few pictures from our wedding day, although our favorite has to be, "How did she DO that?!" We still surprise ourselves when we look at our photographs and remember, "Hey! That's actually us" and not a picture from a magazine. She is a true professional, and we feel so blessed that out of all the weddings taking place in Chicago that day, she spent the day capturing our memories. There are a lot of "best things" about Cristina, but if you aren't sold by her photographs, all you need to do is meet her in person. She is so warm and charismatic that she immediately makes you feel at ease. She is also so knowledgable about the wedding industry in Chicago; within the first ten minutes of talking to her, she was able to give us a rough timeline of our day and recommend a number of vendors. Needless to say, we LOVE Cristina; our only regret is that we can't get married over and over again so that we can keep working with her! read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience with Cristina. She did outstanding job of making us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and it shows in our beautiful photos. She is so organized--even if I hadn't had a planner, I would have felt at ease going into my wedding day, because Cristina had the day outlined pretty much down to the minute. She and her second shooter, Konstantin, did not miss a moment, and it was such a treat to be able to re-live our wedding day (with their artistic interpretation) through our photo proofs and our gorgeous album. It was a first-class experience all the way. Also! Cristina worked so hard and scored a major win for us--we wanted to do our "around town" photos at the Art Institute's outdoor gardens, and when the initial verdict from the Art Institute was that we weren't permitted to do our photos there, Cristina went through all kinds of red tape to get us the go-ahead. She was so committed and went above and beyond to make our vision happen. I work for a Chicago wedding publication and essentially look at wedding photos and vendors' ads for a living. Needless to say, I had extremely high standards when choosing my own wedding vendors, and Cristina was a stellar addition to my "dream team." read more

After reviewing dozens and dozens of photographers in the Chicago area, my husband and I fell in love with Cristina's work. I found most photographers' portfolio examples depict outdoor, brightly lit scenes (which Cristina can do amazingly, as demonstrated by our springtime engagement shots), but few photographers can capture indoor, nighttime scenes. Cristina's experience with nighttime photography was a perfect fit for our evening-time winter wedding. She is amazing at dreaming up interesting and unique shots spontaneously in the moment (for instance, we found some heart graffiti that we used as a backdrop for an engagement photo in the park) and is wonderful at providing guidance ahead of time during the planning process (like where should grandma sit at the reception to get her reaction to the speeches, what getaway car looks best in pictures, or great makeup artists that do work that really pops in pictures). Her pictures absolutely speak for themselves though. In addition to her endless talent, she is also wonderful to work with. My husband and I aren't the most comfortable in front of the camera, but she was great at providing easy and natural instructions that helped us look our best in the photos. Konstantin joined Cristina for our wedding day, and the two of them make an amazing team. They are experts at working quickly without sacrificing quality, which is so important the day of your wedding as things inevitably go behind schedule. We are huge Cristina G fans and can't wait for her to capture future anniversary and (hopefully one day!) family shots! read more
