Been going to Cristina's practice for 4 years and absolutely love it. The staff are extremely efficient and friendly. I have never waited even a minute upon walking in. The desk staff are very friendly as well. The dental work is gentle, but very in depth. I've had my first two crowns ever placed here after many years of not going to the dentist. The process was virtually pain free and very expedient. The crowns are basically printed same day in office and you're set to go. They have a very clean practice as well. It's basically spotless and the staff infection prevention practices are on point (I'm a nurse so always look for this ). Love this dental practice!! read more

First off, the building Dr. Herrera's office is in is beautiful and so relaxing! As soon as you walk in you're greeted by the lovely front desk staff and walk into an immaculately clean waiting room. I got there early and they were able to take me to the room quite fast. I was greeted by Ruth, who was super thorough, informative and sweet! :) Dr. Herrera was also great! I love the new technology they have and how they took both X-rays and photos for my chart. Hands down the best experience I've ever had at a dentist! From the moment I walked into the office I could tell it was going to be a great experience. The staff working at the front desk were beyond helpful and the epitome of friendly, professional and accommodating! the hygienists and dental assistants also just being the most friendly and professional I've ever had the pleasure of being serviced by I have historically had major issues with bitewing X-rays (history of bad dentists and anxiety associated with it) and one of the front desk staff had a few tricks she employed to help me and this is the first time I've had a a full set of bitewings with out gagging once! This set the stage for how the remainder of the visit would go! Cristina Herrera herself was a breath of fresh air in dentistry for me, she was gentle and understanding and the most thorough dentist I've ever had the pleasure of being a patient of. She asked questions and performed exploratory procedures I've never experienced. Her knowledge and delivery of that knowledge was second to none as well. The equipment was state of the art and the office was beautiful with a wonderful ambiance, every single thing about this experience was the best I've ever had, right down to the end of visit treatment planning and billing! Wonderful experience in every respect, staff is extremely professional , accommodating and patient. I recently confused my appt time and they were very nice about it, fit me right in when it was clearly my error. They have an advanced digital 3D X-Ray system in house and their hygienists are also fast, efficient and thorough. Used to dread going to the dentist as I suffer from chronic neck pain due to a cervical fusion before working with Dr Herrera. I have been going to Dr. Herrera's office for a number of years. I find them very caring and competent.

First let me preface by explaining what a horrific experience I had with a previous dentist. So much so that I developed an embarrassingly intense phobia (like legit hand-sweating, tears, full blow anxiety) about the the dentist. I went to Dr. Herrera and she patiently listened to my worries and fears about how much I was scared it was going to hurt again for dental work. She reassured me, and her staff even gave me a blanket and let me take breaks during the procedures. They are honest, kind, and gentle in everything they do. Their office is SPOTLESS and super modern. I feel like she's up to date with her technology and always uses the top of the line products and procedures on me. I never leave, though, feeling like I was ripped off, or overcharged. It's straightforward pricing, and Kathleen, the office assistant helps me understand and navigate the terribly confusing world of insurance. I drive from Mountain View to Los Gatos just for my appointments because it's totally worth it to me. They text me, email me, smoke signal me reminders of my appointments, and ensure I'm well taken care of post-appointment too. And they gave me a toy from the toybox last time -- I mean, COME ON. Dr Herrera has now been my dentist (and my parents') for umpteen years---long enough I don't really remember how long now! They have been great with the small stuff like the regular cleaning and the more complex crowning and things. Their staff is awesome. And their new office is, to use the buzzword, "green". As in, they have reduced a lot of the typical paper waste, they use digital imaging (so no X-ray film), and they just completely redid their office with natural materials. When I was growing up I had a great dentist and as a consequence have become very jaded. Having tried a few over the years they have all been found wanting. That was until I found Dr. Herrera. I've finally found a dentist that I feel comfortable with. The service is excellent and the staff super friendly. Another thing that is helpful is that she has the office set up to provide a few nice distractions for when you are having a lot of work done. While looking for a pediatric dentist I came across Dr. Herrera. I called her office and asked many questions, the administrative person was very patient and professional. They were able to see me for a right away!! After my examination and DIgital imaging, she did not recommend a crowne, just a filling!! What a blessing!! I recently switched my dentist and am usually picky about the quality of service and diligence. I must say that Dr. Herrera and her staff is absolutely the best I have ever seen. The level of diligence and professionalism is extraordinary. While one does need to devote more time for exams in her office, it is for a reason and they are very thorough and is not rush anything. I went to Dr. Herrera to have a crown replaced after not going to the dentist for three years because of the terrible time I had with getting the crown put in the first time. Unlike my last dentist, Dr. Herrera was patient and gentle, cared about pain management, and best of all, because of her high-tech equipment, I got the crown created and installed in ONE VISIT. No temporary crown!! I recommend her to everyone I know, and now my husband and several of my friends see her too. We all agree she is the best dentist out there, and her assistant Dana, hygienist Terri, and office manager Kathleen are fantastic as well. Christina has been my dentist for a couple of years. I came from another dentist in my area who I liked but caused a root canal from drilling to deep on a cavity so I decided to look for another dentist. I interviewed many different dentists and decided on this practice because it felt very personal but at the same time updated on technology like the tooth robot thing that dispenses teeth (got ta have that). They also work with my insurance company and do a good job to make it easy to know what I owe etc. The best about Christina is she doesn't just come in and 1 minute later tell you whether you have cavities or not. She is patient and answers all your questions which I really respect. She also is truly looking at your whole mouth health in her diagnosis. For example she noticed both a bite and gum issue and referred me out to other specialists to make sure I had access to the latest procedures out there. I actually went with a procedure with another dentist that improved my upper gums immensely. I would never have thought to even consider doing this without the help of Christina. I also think the ladies that do the cleanings are excellent and very thorough and go over and beyond giving you the best info to help you take care of your teeth. If you do end up need fillings Christina knows how to keep you comfortable and explains everything along the way. I normally am always under medicated and with Christina I never have to worry. They also have cool videos and music you can listen to. I love the wildlife ones but it seems to always change. The latest log fire on the monitor I swear is heating me up. Dr. Herrera and her staff are simply amazing. First of all, they are all super nice. More importantly, I have super crazy anxiety when it comes to any dental work. Well I had 2 old fillings that needed to be removed and re-done, plus one small cavity that needed attention. On my first visit, she did the standard cleaning which was very quick and painless. She clearly explained everything that needed to be done and showed me photos and everything. On the next visit, she did the 2 teeth on 1 side. Numbed me with a gel first and checked back multiple times to make sure it was numb before moving to injections. I didn't feel a thing. She was efficient with her work and very gentle and continuously checked to make sure I was ok. At the end, based on how numb that side of my face was, she asked if I wanted to get the other side done now or schedule another appointment to do that one. I opted to do it another time so I could still somewhat talk at work. At the last visit, there was only 1 tooth on that side, so it was even faster and easier than the first trip. I have had a few visits with Dr. Herrera now, and have been satisfied and pleased with all of them. Her whole staff are very friendly, helpful, and help put you at ease if you're nervous. Her office is impeccable, with lots of nicely decorated space and individual rooms for all. This is by far the most conservative dentist I've ever been to, or ever heard about. This is a good thing, since you won't leave feeling like unnecessary procedures have been done. Most of all, it was easy for me to see that Dr. Herrera cares about her patients and their health. She educates a lot, gives the most thorough exam I've ever had, gives options regarding procedures, and is friendly and not rushed. Also, I found out I had been flossing wrong for all my life. I recently had a great experience at the dentist! How many people can say that?! Walking into Dr. Herrera's office is a calming experience in itself. The reception are is nice, clean and just relaxing. The woman at the front desk, Kathleen, is very helpful, knowledgeable and very neat. I have never seen a cleaner workspace. It sets the tone for the entire office. You want to feel like your dentist office is a clean environment, right? Dr. Herrera and her assistant, Dana are very well suited to work together. They are both informative and you feel as though you are in good hands. As Dr. Herrera, is very well versed at explaining what needs to be done and what your options are. She will send in Kathleen to help you with any insurance questions you may have before beginning her work. Kathleen is always ready to give you the information you need. Dr. Herrera is gentle and I feel confident in the work she has done for me. Dana, in her own right is wonderful. She is definitely Dr. Herrera's right hand "man". She knows exactly what is going to be needed for the procedure, is right there with a calming comment when you need it the most. You know, you want to make sure your dentist and assistant are in tune with each other. They almost have to be able to read each other's mind. That is how the two of them work together. My cleanings are also always informative, once again the communication between Dr. and hygentist is very clear. Everyone loves the feeling of clean teeth! I started with Dr. Herrera after she took over Dr. Sandy Fox's practice. I felt that if Dr. Fox liked her, I would give her a try. Well, I LOVE Dr. Herrera! I have never had a more gentle experience with a dentist. (I am 65+) Like many, I had a lifetime fear of dentists after bad childhood experiences. It's more than just the fact that she has small hands! She hires great people who treat you carefully and well, and has the best appointment reminders with the little stickies!! P.S.
