These are the CRISPIEST Mexican wedding cookies ever! Wow, delicious!!!!

I can't speak for all of their products because I've only tried three, but the three that I tried were DELICIOUS. When I moved here back in the 90's, people told me that this was THE place for tres leches cakes. To this day their tres leches is still the best I've ever tasted: moist but not too wet, sweet but not overly sweet, perfectly fluffy icing with just the right taste and texture. Today I tried their chocolate tres leches. OMG. I didn't know that such perfection existed. Truly delicious. We also picked up a box of Mexican wedding cookies for the BF. Honestly, I'm not usually a fan of wedding cookies, but these were AWESOME. They were light, crispy and oh so yummy!!! I'll definitely be back!!! FYI, cakes are available whole or by the slice so you have no excuse not to go in and try a piece!!!

They have tasty cookies and deserts. Love to go there once in a while to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Bought a carrot cake and it was the most dry cake I have ever had. I won't be buying cakes from this place again.

I'm pretty sure I can't even find fluffy jiggly cheesecake in San Antonio, what makes you think Brownsville would, for once, have the leg up on that trend? Well, I ended up eating my words. And friends, my words were in the form of this delicious cheesecake. So, we ordered this cheesecake through DoorDash, but we did also swing by the actual cafe in person to check it out. The cafe is pretty bare bones from what I remember, and they sometimes have cakes available to walk in and buy, but for the most part, they prefer you order ahead. And then we saw they did DoorDash. So. Yeah. Naturally, we got one. The cheesecake arrived with fresh strawberries on the side, and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Cutting into it was like cutting into a cloud. The taste? Wow. Heaven. Think the perfect marriage between angel food cake and cheesecake. It's so incredibly light but also retains a moist texture. I know these cakes use a lot of egg, but this cake wasn't eggy in the slightest. Overall, it was a delightful, satisfying slice and I think I vastly, VASTLY prefer it over regular cheesecake now. San Antonio has to get on the ball, cause this little shop nailed the recipe for Japanese cheesecake. A+, y'all. We'll need to order it again the next time I'm in town.
