Solid 5 stars (based on variety and price) Stopped in for an after-dinner treat with the extended family and was really surprised by the variety. They've got soft serve, Dole Whip, hand-scooped Blue Bell, soft serve fruit bowls, shakes, banana splits, and just about every topping you can think of. Looked like they had smoothies too -- kind of an all-in-one shop. They also had a lot of classic dishes like layered sundaes. Bottom line, there was some kind of ice cream treat for everyone in there. Ok amount of seating inside, with extra tables outside. Business was clean and service was efficient. I kept it simple with a classic butter pecan cone, Dad got a banana split that looked awesome, and the kids ended up with soft serve. Highly recommend a stop -- with the family, it was well worth it. The ice cream was delish! The little sitting area in the front outside was perfect to sit and enjoy our cones while soaking in the SPI atmosphere. Plus the bottle water was only $1 and very reasonable considering you cannot find bottled water that cheap in any establishment / outside of a gas station. We'll be back next year! read more

They had both Bluebell ice cream and Dole Whip. About 16 flavors of ice cream, lots of toppings for sundaes. They had cake cone, sugar cone and waffle cone. We got cake cone, two bigs scoops for $6 bucks. Not bad at all. Also got to taste the Dole Whip, so good. During a summer beach day, the dole whip would be good with dark rum floaters. This ice cream joint is super cute with a bonus patio set facing the bayside of the island. Plenty of free parking and friendly customer service. read more

I'm not really sure why this place has such good ratings... no hate but it's literally just blue bell ice cream which you can buy in store. I assumed it was made in house based on the reviews. It also was pretty pricey... I ended up getting the dole whip swirl bc again it was freezer ice cream and it was refreshing but nothing to write home about and again just from a machine. The dude working was also very standoffish. I'm not sure he said a word the whole time even after I left him a cash tip for less than friendly service. So nope, wouldn't come back. read more

Came to South padre for vacation and to visit family and they took us to this ice cream place after we walked around on the beach. Super clean and friendly place even later in the night!( Great since it's open until 10:30) It was really cool inside and great to go to after a long hot day out in the beach.
