Clerk was rude and kept saying Debit cards are credit cards. Okay see ya. Update 06/28 Someone named Jessica responded. No mention of the fact that the store is stealing money from customers for charging a fee on debit cards. I guess they're okay with theft.

We were hitting up a bunch of shows and rather than pay venue beverage prices we planned to enjoy a beverage at our hotel before strolling to a show. This liquor store is across from Kroger's and the parking lot is a triangle. The first time we were not sure where the entrance was located because of the odd shaped triangle lot. Seriously this is before we drank wine. They had a nice selection of wine and really good sale prices. We picked out a few wineries that I had never heard of like Portlandia and one other New Zealand wine that was on clearance. When we visited again in 2023 we noticed they had an extended selection of bourbon's including several Japanese brands behind the counter. As with the bourbon market these days the availability seems to be the favorable feature not competitive pricing. The staff is very friendly and they make really good use of the available shelf space considering it is not a big store. I would much rather shop Toddy's instead of a big box store because they have comparable if not better prices, good selection and the people we spoke to were very knowledgeable about their products.

This is definitely the friendliest liquor & wine shop in town. They have the largest selection of wine w/ the best prices in Jefferson City. If you are in search of something then just ask the owner Rus & he will gladly do his darnedest to get it for you, or he could possibly tell you about another product that might just be as good. They also have tastings & run specials. They have a great selection of liquor & beer and have just about any mini bottle you could imagine. Clarence, the owner, was quick to offer assistance and plenty of friendly conversation. He suggested several of his favorite wines from Clarence's 'Hall of Fame', all in varying price points. He wasn't pushing in any way, just there to help and answer any questions. He was excited to offer the history on a few of the wineries. He certainly knows his stuff. I usually go a little out of my way to end up at Palace, but it's always worth it! Prices are on par and the staff is friendly.
