We are now on the market for a new vendor and were given a few great references from our management co. AAA has provided us with: -poor office management and communication in the form of messages not being returned, email communication with typos and mistakes (regularly over the course of time). To communicate this (as in second chance territory), we had asked for the owner to call us but he never did. -canceling service call 2x over the past 2 years with same excuse. And other annoying miscommunications I do not care to elaborate on. But...you can trust me, right? (Yes). If anyone I know was looking for exterminator recommendations, my recommendation would be to skip this company. It has shown us that it is run poorly. I had been the contact for this company and it was almost always 3 rounds of communication to complete a task.

Our landlord's go-to exterminator is Paul, the owner of Alamo. Paul showed up and explained the entire process to us. He was extensively knowledgable about the habits and breeding cycle of bedbugs. He took the time to explain the nature of the poisons he used and was clearly knowledgable about them. He explained how to prep our house for the fumigation. Afterwards, he helped return out house to normal and told us what to expect. Throughout the experience he was very curteous and friendly and in conversation, we found out we both enjoy cooking italian. He invited me to his family's meatball cookoff and brought over some imported canned tomatoes in a follow-up visit. And were just the tenants- we aren't even the one's writing his check. I find it hard to believe Paul could be rude. Check google's aggregate rating of them- their reputation seems to be iron-clad.

Unfortunately, we have a problem section on the rear deck of our triple decker where raccoons can…read morerip a hole and nest inside the walls of our apartment. We called up Mike Arlauskas and he is very forthcoming with information on what and what not to do before he gets there. He came through our apartment the first time and wanted us to point out to him the places in the wall where we could hear the raccoon so he would know where to set the traps. We've had two raccoons now and each time we call him he comes over the same day to set traps. He also checks them every day and will remove the animal once it has entered the trap. The first time we had a raccoon it entered the trap within hours. The second time, the raccoon took a few days to take the bait but we called up Mike in the morning and he came by within a couple of hours. He also takes steps to ensure that there are no additional animals coming in and out. At the end, he temporarily blocks animals from entering the hole by using wire mesh but you are ultimately responsible for patching or any contractor work that needs to be done. Mike is really friendly and professional and makes the process pretty easy. According to his business card he takes care of other pests such as squirrels, skunks and birds. It also lists him as PAC agent, Insured, Licensed, Members of MAPAC and NWCOA. Just a quick note, as soon as that raccoon enters the trap it will try very hard to get out and it seems to be as loud as a jackhammer. Both times the raccoon was trapped late at night so the process may disturb sleep.
