And this didn't disappoint. It was very relaxing and both wife and I felt very comfortable. I did apologize for my feet (I have gravel grippers) but they trooped on. The therapists were engaging as to what we'd like (I asked to kneaded like a bad pillow, and wife was less needy). But they adjusted accordingly and we were very appreciative It can be pricey (we had a resort discount though), but this is well worth the cost. It's okay to be a dude and get massaged with eucalyptus-coconut oils. I will not judge you.

PROS/CONS-Smokey Mountain Memories-15 bedroom…read more Let me start off with the CONS: This isn't exactly a CON but something to be aware of, the roads are windy and sharp, and everyone seems to drive rather fast around the windy and sharpen curves. On some roads there are mirrors to see individual vehicles as you navigate the roads but not a lot. The family drove cars, and SUV's, which was no issue getting to the cabin, (but during the winter you may want to double check how you are getting to the cabin as far as what to drive). Once the family made it to the Cabin they were apprehensive to leave because of the windy, sharp curves of the roads. I would ensure my vehicle had good tires, brakes, and no transmission issues. The picture of the outside of the Cabin isn't what is was shown online. I believe it was an earlier photo, as it shows green grass almost like sod, and from the pictures we thought the surface to park was flat. It is an incline, we parked along the sides of the driveway and got 11 vehicles parked, it isn't flat as i noted above make sure you have good brakes. That was no issue for us , just something to be aware of if you have a larger family who all drive from all areas. There are 2 charcoal grills, this something we weren't aware of, from what we were told when i called, i was told the grills would be propane and we didn't bring charcoal, which isn't a big deal, it takes about 15-20 min to get down to the bottom of the mountain to Walmart. The pictures that you see online are propane grills attached to the cabin. Just bring charcoal if any out door cooking. Did not like the 2 Jacuzzi's that did not work sitting in the front/side of the cabin, it takes away from the cabin, in my opinion, it looks like they are permanent fixtures. We had a few maintenance issues/ door to the roof not opening water dripping from upstairs they sent someone to fix the issue quickly. That was great. PROS: Check-in had no issues. The Cabin accommodated our large family with plenty of space on the inside, 2 dishwashers, 2 large refrigerators, 4 microwaves, 3 stoves, 1 that the fixture had to be fixed, we only needed to use 2 of the stoves. The kitchen was stocked pretty well with what we needed to cook. Plenty of space to eat and move about and enjoy the mountains on the covered deck. No complaints. Bedrooms were spacious loved that they all came with bathrooms, and TV's no one had to share.. However there were 2 rooms that had no tv, they were the bunkbed rooms upstairs. The view on the roof top was beautiful you can see the city view with the added telescope and this is where the 2 Jacuzzi's are located. The 2 jacuzzis could have been cleaner. The indoor pool are was very nice, and a bathroom was located in the pool area. Washer/dryer was utilized, along with game room downstairs a plus. The biggest add on bonus that i did not see from the pictures was the drink machines, just like the fast food establishment this was a big plus, never ran out of drinks. Last but not least, we got visitors all 3 days, we stayed, the first bear we saw when driving up to the cabin walking up the road in front of our vehicle. The others made a guest appearance around the cabin. All in all a successful trip.

We rented a small cabin with a built in hot tub and fireplace. Perfect place for an intimate romantic dinner which they will cook on request and deliver to your room. We also chose to get a massage from their full service spa. Very good massage I can highly recommend it. The surrounding areas are a park like setting with lots of flowers and plants . The cabins are in the heavily treed woods and in the mornings we were awakened by the chatter of birds. It was so good to take in the views and sit on our back porch listening to them with their morning chirps and breathing in that fresh mountain air. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy excellent dining, this is your place. There are also a couple outside cats on the property that like to visit while you are sitting on your porch swing or rocking chairs.

The lady was very hospitable, stating that she would write my name down and number and they would call me as soon as the cabin was ready. She said they would also tell the woman checking in that the cabin wasn't ready until they got a call from me stating that everything was ready to go (which I thought was above and beyond). Since it seemed that I may be able to get in early, I took the day off of work just so I could jump in the car and head up. I never got a call so I headed up to get there right at 3 pm so I could hurry up and set up. I get there and they state that the cabin isn't quite ready. Okay....I have a truck full, including cakes, flowers, and chocolate covered strawberries. Many things that don't need to be in the car for a long period of time. They wouldn't release the address until the cleaning company said it was ready so all I could do was wait and have my friend stall so I could get in and set up. I waited and waited and waited....finally we couldn't stall my friend any longer and they headed up. They got to the main office at 5:30 and it STILL was not ready. We didn't get the address until 6 pm. (Though this is not their fault but just to show how inconvenient this was, we took our Jeep that overheats when running idle because of a coolant issue. Because of this, I had to drive around Pigeon Forge for 2 1/2 hours so that I could keep the A/C on all of the perishables in my car) At this point all parties were driving around Pigeon Forge, waiting for this dang address...many of them had been on the road for hours and just wanted to get cleaned up and settled in. 3 hours after check in "started" we were able to get in. The place was what we signed up for but the customer service was not. They gave lame apologies the entire time but didn't seem to feel any sort of inclination to help us out. Their "apology" was letting us stay until noon on Sunday (many of us had to drive hours to get home so we left early anyways so that didn't really help us out). I have worked in customer service for almost a decade. Believe me, I tried to understand. I tried to be patient. But there is a point where enough is enough. If there is even a possibility that you could be stuck waiting for hours to check in, this should be stated beforehand. Oh and their secured trash receptacles? A joke. Its a trash can with a plastic snap lid on it. Yes it is cool to go to the mountains and see a bear...but not when you are walking from your car from the grocery store and practically walk right up on it on the porch! And then having it follow you back to your truck while you are trying not to run. The cabin itself was nice. The karaoke machine is sort of a joke but the arcade game was loved by all. You can hear the Dollywood Express and fireworks throughout the day and at night, so any veterans sensitive to loud noises may want to look elsewhere. Oh and she said yes...

Step outside and enjoy the aroma of raw sewage and floating substances while you enjoy the hot tub. Icing on the cake? Try discussing your concerns with them and be prepared to be disrespected, told all about how you're at fault for their shortcomings, and how you'll absolutely not be getting a credit for any of the problems you endured.

I will start out by saying we did get 100% refund but they said that it was only because they had offered us 100% refund after the deadline when we called a few weeks ago. We had read something about the dock not being accessible a few weeks prior to the vacation and it was still being advertised so we called to inquire and we were offered a refund. We didn't take the offer because of the extensive planning that had gone into this trip. The woman literally said, "we normally don't do that but I see in the notes that you had already been offered 100% so I'll go ahead and honor that". So with that said, they did make us whole financially but this isn't about that. This is about planning a vacation for a year, coordinating with our adult children and with the military to make it happen only to arrive and have extreme disappointment. This involved last minute scrambling to find another cabin large enough to accommodate, moving everything, and finding a hotel for one night for 7 people until we could get into another cabin, etc. Honestly I would not have left this review had they offered me another cabin with like accommodations with no added cost but they didn't do that. They gave us our refund and shooed us out the door to fend for ourselves. I don't want anyone else to ever have to go through an experience like this so I decided to share here on Yelp. The pictures and captions I've attached speak for themselves. Please note, the pictures on their website have to be from when this cabin was brand new. They definitely do not reflect the current condition. I didn't include everything here but this gives you an idea of how bad it was. We have stayed in this area several times over the past 18 years and we have never been disappointed until now. I'm embarrassed that I even booked with this company. They really are the slum lords of the Smokey Mountains in my opinion. What good hearted person would knowingly do this to people?!
