Listen for less than $200 I was able to get a nice hotel stay, and two days of waterpark access for our family of 4! We used the deal found on Groupon and it was seamless! **Do note the Groupon is for 4 ppl only after 4 ppl you do incur an additional person fee. Even though it says the room fits up to 6 ppl it only covers the waterpark and everything for 4 ppl. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone with kids of all ages!! They have so much for young kids, to 6-12 and then the big kids too! We will be back! read more

We enjoyed our time at Wilderness at the Smokies. We did get a group rate as we were attending a hardware show so the cost for us may have been lower. We stayed at the hotel that is connected to the indoor water park. Upon arrival we had a lot of trouble checking in. It took us over an hour to get things straight and the lady at the service desk almost gave us a room that was reserved by someone else. She still didn't give us the correct rate and my husband had to spend another thirty minutes when we checked out so that was annoying. The water park was very clean and fun. I will say that some lifeguards enforce rules while others don't. Also our grandson purchased a water canon in their store and then was told that he could not use it at the pool so be aware that toys are not allowed in the waterpark area. We enjoyed the arcade and I would suggest going between 8 AM and 10 AM when the arcade is half price. For the most part we went out and got food because the waterpark resturaunts are expensive. We did eat one day at The Swimmin' Chicken and the food was very good! Please note that the hotel can get loud as you may hear kids running up and down the halls and babies crying when you are trying to sleep. We did have tickets for the big outdoor water park but we never went to it. I would give this 3.5 stars but I am rounding up. read more

Our experience at Wilderness at the Smokies was unfortunately disappointing due to ongoing room issues. The water park facilities themselves were great, we got a Cabana for the day , the service was great the food was average but consistently served hot and reasonably priced 5/5 stars. Had it not been for the room problems, this easily would have been a 5-star visit. The rooms, however, were lackluster at best. The beds were comfy, pillows were thin and horrible, but I bring my own pillows for a reason We were initially placed in a room with a leaking refrigerator that gave off a strong sour milk odor. Staff was called and came up with the bright idea of applying disinfectant and assured us the room "should be good," but the smell now became" lavender flavored sour milk" and never improved. After nearly 20 hours we were finally moved to the room across the hall. While the second room was somewhat better, we were still greeted by that same sour mold smell every time we stepped into the hallway. Eventually, day 3 we requested yet another room. Three rooms in three days is simply too much moving for anyone trying to enjoy a vacation. They should have never put anyone in the initial room to begin with. Because of this and the repeated room issues and the disruption to my vacation they caused, I have to give this stay 0 stars for accommodations, despite the otherwise enjoyable facilities and dining experience. I'm extremely disappointed, we arrived at 12 noon, I wanted to pay extra to have an early check in but the receptionist said not able too but they will text me if the room is ready early, fine my family and I went out for lunch and then to the water park waiting till 4pm When the clock hit 4pm I was checking in We are celebrating our son's birthday so when I booked online I paid for the birthday banner at the door, first they gave us room 23000, we are the kids to stayed at the lobby cause it was a surprise for our son We got to the room and no banner to be found and smelled so bad, the entire room smell of cigarette My husband and I went to the lobby and spoke to Dorothy Bentley the supervisor and told her about the smell and no birthday banner yes she gave us another room but no banner at the door, she put it herself few minutes after we were in already We went to the indoor water park and the arcade, around 7:30pm came back to take a shower and to go out to dinner, let's mention I still haven't inspect the room and I when I first did inspect the beds cause I do spray Lysol and clean the bathroom with Clorox, my husband and I found hair all over inside the sheets, outside and pillows then we lifted all the sheets and found more disgusting hair and body fluids I immediately called but I felt they didn't care so I took a video and won't post here cause I course out or maybe I will, excuse my language but I was furious, I went downstairs to talk to the manager and Dorothy was the only one there, she is the supervisor, told her what I found, told her is not acceptable but she rushed to se I'm sending housekeeping without an I'm sorry, I apologize for the inconvenience, so look at my pics and video and try to understand I'm a mother of three and my family's health is my priority and yes I will contact management, corporate oh whoever I need to speak too to get this rectified. On a random Tuesday it would have cost over $400 for our family of 5 to get a day pass. Hard pass. For reference Wolf lodge is $200 (fam of 5) for a day pass and Kalahari was $350. Judging by Wilderness rating I'm glad we didn't go. read more

Stone Hill Lodge was the most confusing place that I have ever stayed. Our room was located on level 1, you park and enter the lodge on level 3, you have to walk a labyrinth to get to the correct elevator (singular) to reach the 1st level. The hallways are so narrow that if you meet another person with a luggage cart it is a game of chicken! The housekeeping staff have their carts in the hallway at all hours of the day and no one is interested in moving them out of your way. The front desk person was obviously an auctioneer in a previous life because we didn't get half of what she told us. The one good thing about this place is that you wear a wrist band that gets you into the room, the waterpark and wherever you need to go within these 2 lodges. The shuttle drivers are amazing and they have the most information about attractions and the area. Be prepared to spend the same amount of money on food at the waterpark that you would be spending at Disney or Dollywood if not more. The convenience of the few food courts was the attraction, not the quality of food and most certainly not the price. You cannot get a menu with a price anywhere! The indoor waterpark was typical of any indoor water park similar to Great Wolf Lodge. Our kids had a great time but got bored after a few hours there. It is a once in a lifetime type trip and then you are ready to move onto something else. read more

Check in / check out: This was my first time visiting the resort. When we arrived, there were multiple lanes of cars waiting to get through registration. When I walked in, there were probably 15 families in front of me (the lobby is pretty small for this). There were several people working the desk so I got through pretty quickly. Checkout was also a seamless process. Water park / Activities: The kids wanted to immediately head to the water park (indoor). It was very nice but it was DISGUSTINGLY muggy in here. I'm not sure what the solution is but after 45 minutes, I was drenched from head to toe. There was a small bar inside the park. Service was unbelievably slow and they would only allow people to order one drink (someone in our party couldn't order for his wife). They could have been better prepared to handle a large flux of people (large volleyball tournament). The arcade was roomy and had a variety of games for all ages. There are also other activities that we just didn't have time to do. I think the daily resort fee is fair for what it includes. I really liked they sent a daily text with the calendar of activities. Grizzly Grill: This was a little food spot inside the water park. My daughter had the burger and fries. The fries were hard as a rock and the burger looked like mystery meat. Room: The bathroom was extremely small in relation to the rest of the room. We had a kitchen with full fridge, stove, dishwasher. The kitchen table and six chairs took over a LOT of the room. Our toilet backed up at the first use. Facilities were quick to arrive and fix the problem but the toilet really struggled to flush the entire weekend. The room was adequately stocked with towels. The room was not cleaned well. There was tape on the ceiling where someone probably had some signs hanging. The dishes were also dirty. General: The general area of the hotel was clean inside and outside. There seemed to be adequate parking. There is a shuttle that runs and we had no problem catching this when heading to the convention center. The Peak: We hung out at the peak for both food & drink. This was another spot that I didn't feel was staffed appropriately for the crowd. There were 2 servers responsible for the inside and outside patrons. They were very nice, but service was pretty slow. I had the gluten free caprese pizza and it was delightful. The featured cocktails were entirely too sweet, but that is my fault for trying something new. The kids pizza was well liked and my party enjoyed the nachos. Firefly: This was also not staffed appropriately. I had asked for gluten free options and was told there were none. As I checked out, I saw someone viewing a gluten free menu. This was rather disappointing, but I was still able to order food before closing time. Deli: The yogurt parfait was a big hit with the kids. It was favored over the parfait being sold at the convention center. Overall, I'd come back to the resort. read more

We originally planned to book a hotel on The Island, but then we discovered Wilderness, and my daughter was instantly hooked! Before arriving, I had some concerns about the rooms, but the moment we got there, all my worries disappeared. The endless activities the resort offers more than made up for any initial hesitation. From the water park, arcade, and games to the rooftop pool, ice skating, Christmas light show, and golf, this place truly has it all. Honestly, you don't even need to leave the resort! My teen daughter had an absolute blast with her friend. We came for a short weekend trip, and it wasn't overly crowded. All the rides moved quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. What impressed me the most was how the resort sent daily updates about activities and allowed us to handle everything--check-out, housekeeping requests, and more--via text. Just imagine paying for an executive suite to enjoy this lovely view with employees smoking and yelling at all hours. Big trucks coming and going.... This business openly allows hate symbols to be displayed proudly in what they want to call a family-friendly environment. The management team is well aware but afraid to take any action. They care more about potential legal implications than the enjoyment of their guests. The shuttles do not run in a timely manner. There's zero crowd control maintaining lines for shuttles or other amenities. Mattresses in suites vary drastically- but the Murphy bed mattresses in particular are atrocious. Staff were so hit and miss that it's better off not to need anything, honestly. Skip this one. read more

This is our 2nd time visiting. A lot of upgrades since our last visit. We had a great time years ago and were really impressed during this visit. I love the upgrades - new rides, lazy river and so much more. It's so much to do here that one doesn't have to leave the resort to have fun. The only problem I had was that the restaurant I was so fond of changed a bit. There's no personal experience. It's no longer a restaurant but a social spot. The morning buffet is still there but you pay and a tip is requested but no one comes to your table for anything. You fix your own food and drink as well as put up your used dishes. I was looking forward to seeing waitresses and talking with them as I did years past. I love a great conversation. This was the only disappointment. It really felt commercialized. I do understand it's a business but I loved the personal feel the restaurant used to have. Communication was great. I had no issues calling to reserve. I also had questions after I got here and never was treated as if I was an aggravation. I was helped a few times with no problem. We also had a manager to stop and talk to us while in the deli. He asked us how our stay was and actually listened to what we had to say. If that's not personable and caring, I don't know what is!! We went to wilderness over the weekend to celebrate our children's birthdays and most of the big attractions in the indoor waterpark were closed. I understand they need to update, but prices should reflect that and they did NOT. We had booked this months ahead and would have found a different place had we known. We tried to talk to guest services to see if there was anything we could do and they were SO RUDE and dismissive. Do not recommend until every bit of their renovations are done otherwise you're just wasting your time and money. read more

This was our first time staying at the Wilderness, and unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations--especially for the $600 we paid for two nights. Check-in was frustrating from the start. The line of cars wrapped around the property, and once inside, the line to check in stretched nearly to the front door. Although several staff members were working, the process took much longer than at other places we've stayed. We were also given very little direction on how to find our room, which added to the frustration. When we finally got to the room, we were underwhelmed. It felt very dated, and there was even a large hole in the bathroom ceiling. The space was quite small considering it's advertised to sleep 4-6 people--more than four guests would have felt cramped. The shower head only trickled water, and the AC kept turning off and on throughout our stay. We asked for a fan to help circulate air, but were told none were available. The water park itself was okay. The appeal of swimming in the winter is definitely nice, but the indoor water park felt small, and it's not something we would make a special trip to visit again. Checkout was another inconvenience. When we asked for a luggage cart, we were told the hotel only had one and it was currently in use. Having just one cart for the entire property seems unreasonable. We booked 4 days which is far too much. It's a decent water park but the kids (7&8) were done with it after 4 hours day 1 and 2 hours day 2. It's ok but limited rides and very crowded. From a dad perspective now - it's built out of paper & spit. Incredibly noisy, not enuf parking and most of the staff are kinda terrible. Asked for room towels got none. Onsite food options are expensive and kinda bad. 16$ for a hotdog & soda is a bit much. Overall I'd say stay at another cheaper place and just come here for an afternoon read more

What a blast, and our 21 people in our small family reunion could not say enough good things about this facility. We rented 2 Villas (full homes) next to one another. These were gorgeous and roomy. Spotless and with 21 people a wonderful value!!!! Once unpacked, we headed over to the waterpark. Some played in the indoor park or the arcade, but a few of us went to the rooftop for water play, sunset, and cocktails. What a lovely, lovely area. The next day was full of waterslides all day. We had 2 Cabanas and that is a must for a long day. Swim shoes are also needed, as the sidewalk is hot. But you cannot wear the shoes on the slides, so you'll be holding them. We had dinner at the Villa and spent time catching up, as we came from all over the U.S. Then we went to the arcade and enjoyed an array of games together. And so on....the days together were enjoyable and we loved the Villa, the staff, the other patrons, and the parks. Truly, could not say enough good things about all of the people and amenities there. One of the pluses is if you arrive early you are allowed in the park before getting your room and if you check out at 11, but have a late flight, as some of my family did, you can spend the day at the park. They got an airconditioned cabana, the kids napped and played and they had an enjoyable day before the red eye home !! I see some complaints here, but we did not experience any of the flaws. Communication could be better, ie: wifi password, how to handle trash, and reaching a human - however, all are fixable and it did not lessen the experience one bit. A few tiny, tiny millipedes in the house, and a couple of daddy long legs spiders, but we are not bothered by that. Nothing in the kitchen or bathroom, just near the doors. We did get cabanas both days, and definitely worthwhile - but we went and got our food. The cold pitcher of water left for us in each of the cabanas, and the fluffy towels is a nice touch. We loved our patio at the end of the day watching the fireflies.... Thank you to all the staff, and all the patrons that were friendly and kind. A top-notch experience for all 21 of us !!! read more

Family and I decided to spend a few days of spring break here. 2 nights around $400. The water park was fun, the staff were friendly, but the rooms were just filthy. Walking into the room it immediately smelled like mildew and wet rags. The sink area had toothpaste spit and splattered all over the frame of the mirror and faucet. The bathroom had so much rust on the door hinges, the bathtub faucet kept detaching from the wall, and the lock and door handle on the bathroom was broken. The linen and sheets had a weird smell to it, I wouldn't be surprised if they were previously washed.. It was a fun experience for the kids, but it won't be something we will be doing again. I wasn't expecting a luxurious 5 star hotel but for the price I would've rather spent my money at a neighboring hotel and considered a day pass. read more

I'm compelled to share my experience for the stay at this hotel as it is definitely one of the WORST hotels I have ever stayed at. It started with the check-in time. Instead of being greeted by the front desk staff as a guest should have received, the lady at the front desk purposely looked down/away when seeing me and my daughter walking towards the desk. She then pointed us to check in with another person (a gentleman next to her). When I asked questions about restaurants nearby etc., the male staff appeared to be bothered and having no interest in helping me at all. Again, he just pointed at directions. At that moment, my impression of this hotel was that guests were not respected or welcomed here. Then it comes to the hotel room itself. The room has no real beds; rather, there were only pull out sofas. And there were no blankets, only a thin layer of bedding sheet. When asking the front desk for blankets, I was told that they don't have blankets, only bedding sheets. In order to ensure we still stay warm and not get sick, I had to turn up the heater which caused much discomfort during the night; and I was not able to get much sleep at all. For this hotel room with no real beds/blankets which are basic accommodations to any other standard hotels, we paid nearly $200 per night. And it is ridiculous for the kind of service we have received, from the customer service to the room accommodations. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone else and will absolutely never book it again. read more

Kids love this place so we stopped in on the way home for a brief stay. We booked at the wrong place apparently as their site was not clear on which units were attached to the indoor water park. The lady at the front desk was beyond rude as we asked for a change to the main hotel. There was a $120 change fee (On top of the difference in the room rate) , even though this was off season, and the place was max 20% full. I'd be good never going here again. I cannot stand money grubbing businesses that put money over EVERYTHING. Rooms are average at best. Your kids might like this place, but you will be miserable. You've been warned. read more

2.4 Stars. This was a difficult place to review because the service from the staff was excellent or very bad. Our hotel accommodations were excellent or very disappointing. We stayed there for two days and a half for an event held in the hotel. The price is low and the water park looked spectacular. Christmas decor was beautifully done throughout the hotel too. Based on my experience, I would select another place to stay despite the excellence displayed by two of the staff there. The beginning: All that glitters is not gold... Driving to the Wilderness At The Smokies and entering the area was very inviting and seemed to be a very luxurious hotel and family friendly hotel. We easily found a spot to park when we first came to the hotel. There was no line at the front desk and we thought the place looked grand. It went downhill incredibly fast. The front desk lady who checked us in had poor communication skills. She gave us our room number and a thick folder with paperwork, directions to attractions there, etc and all this stuff we needed as guests. She said the event we had to go to was on top of the hill in a building facing our hotel. She said there was parking fees for the hotel's event building. She could not provide us a map or exact directions to where we needed to go and eat at the event center of that hotel. Our first red flag. But I easily dismissed it until a second red flag came up and then another... We drove up to the hotel's event center - with no knowledge of where to park. We parked at the first area we saw (no fees like she told us ) and took an elevator to enter the event center. None of the staff could direct us where to go for our event there and they did not know where our private dining area was located. We bumped into a colleague attending the same event and he directed us to where we needed to go. As we ate dinner, we realized that the front desk lady did not provide us our key - a wristband key- for our room;even though she gave us all this other stuff. The second red flag - very stressful. Who checks in a hotel and doesn't get a key from the front desk. The BEST part of our stay: Food Service and The Event Coordinator/Food Attendant: Our food attendant, Jamie, heard our concerns and promptly got our room key and saw that I got some ketchup for my food. The dinner was above satisfactory. Southern food served in a buffet style. Jamie's service was excellent and he went out of his way to take care of our room key. He was the best attribute of this hotel experience. The food was always delicious and the service was always excellent. MANY RED FLAGS: When arriving to our hotel room, we discovered that it was conveniently located above the front desk area on the second floor. Easy access to the stores and dining areas below. BUT getting a luggage trolley was difficult. None were available. We had to go and hunt one down left on one of the floors, since none of the luggage trolleys were returned back by the guests or hotel staff. Second Red Flag. The hotel room had several red flags: malfunctioning sink & shower. Service to fix these things was poor or delayed. Loud noise level from outside with Christmas music playing till 10 pm. Positive factors: clean room, beautiful decor, and lovely porch view of Christmas lights outside. Last Day At Hotel: My companion was in a hurry to checkout. He was very unhappy with the hotel. I adapted to the problems and was happy to finally take a decent shower. I didn't like that we had no coffee available for our last meeting yet I enjoyed the information & camaraderie at our last event. People dressed to the 9s in Christmas outfits and were entertaining. read more

It was CROWDED!! Bumping into people in the wave pool, trying to ball without getting swiped and finding a spot to relax in in the hot tub.. Not saying it was all bad, I am saying that, they opened the flood gates up a little bit. But there's never really been a dull moment. And there never is. The water park is great, people there seem friendly, It is well over populated by 80% children then there is adults. So definitely refrain from using profanity out loud. ROOMS: The beds felt like you were sleeping on a rock. They're not very comfy at all.. I would want to stay at River Lodge instead of Stone lodge, so that way I don't have to shuttle there and back. It would defintely help me enjoy my time longer at the water parks. All and All. It's a fun place to hang out, Rates aren't as bad. If you're coming on vacation to relax, just skip this place. This establishment is packed full of rambunctious kids. Loud booming coming from upstairs rooms, all hours of the night. Kids running up and down the halls, all hours of the night. Extremely thin walls so you can hear babies crying and people screaming/speaking loudly, all hours of the night. Housekeeping does not clean your room throughout your stay so you come back to a slept in bed and dirty towels. You can request more via text and they hang a garbage bag full of towels on your door. In otherwords, housekeeping does the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM!!! Please also see my photo attached, this is my extremely dusty night table. I have been sneezing since I got here. The rooms are stuffy and the bed is extremely uncomfortable, completely worn down mattress that slumps in the middle. It's really sad. As far as the waterpark, yes the indoor and outdoor waterparks are decent. My kids enjoyed themselves. We came in the summer and the outdoor waterpark is really nice and spacious!! Food is overpriced and not good but that is to be expected. I recommend this spot for families with kids but be forewarned of the above. Don't expect a clean hotel with a comfy bed and relaxing space to wind down. If they could improve housekeeping and monitor the noise level this would be enjoyable for parents too!! read more

If you have any security issue, your safety feels threatened by a drunk guest or guests-immediately call 911. The resort security and front desk will not save you or help. We had drunk hotel neighbors banging on our door to tell us to come out and fight them bc they were drunk and thinking we were the room making noise (we were in bed). Kids were running the halls knocking on doors being kids and he was too drunk to realize that so he decided to berate us and pound on our door like a swat cop. When thought it was someone confused on where their room was so my sister said through the door, hey I think you're confused you have the wrong room" in which he innately yelled, "no the fk I I don't you f-in bitch" as he continued to scream at the top of his lungs as we're trying to explain it wasn't us. We called front desk concierge line, front desk line and guest services lines and every single one went to voicemail all while this guy is in a literal drunken rage outside our room. We made multiple calls to have them help us in a really scary situation and nobody answered, when they finally did the girl at the front couldn't care less some drunken stranger had two girls freaked out and being threatened. This resort does not value your safety once you leave the confines of the water park. They did however let us know after we snuck out of our room and ran to the front desk that the reason it took security so long to show up was because someone else had beaten the crap out of their spouse and apparently another individual was run over in the parking lot. All in the same night. Two security guards for the entire facility. Zero sense of urgency or problem solving skills from the front desk. Multiple incidents. Also not reassuring when front desk says things like "I don't know why they (security) always ignores my phone calls. I've called him but he's not answering again." Safety not assured. Enter at your own risk and if you're a female make sure you have some mace or bear spray because it's needed. Also nobody called to make sure we were okay. No follow up. Nothing. I had to call back yesterday (four days after event) to try and get a resolution or just see how it was handled bc I did not leave there feeling safe and wanted to know how they handle guests like that. I have explained this situation to now three members of management and after speaking with the woman named Brooke I feel even more upset because she cut me off multiple times when trying to explain what happened, she wasn't listening. she was busy to defend security and their policies versus how their policies or lack thereof left two individuals completely unsafe. No communication between front desk girls (the one they took the initial call was around 11:53 PM) she was packed up going home when we made it to the front. The girl taking the shift over was like oh yeah, she told me something was happening. Then when we explained to the new front desk girl the details her jaw dropped. She was literally not informed at all. If situations are still happening in real time and a shift change happens, what is in place to make sure events are handled or taken care of? The entire time we're explaining to the new front desk girl what was going on, the one that originally took our call stood behind her with her bags and purse and just listened to us retell the incident. Why are these safety events not notated so the incoming staff is aware of safety concerns? Spend the extra few hundred and find a better place to stay. Sevierville has lots more to offer these days and I assure you the water slides aren't worth the safety risk you have once you go back to your room. We did not sleep, we were on edge the entire rest of the night (we demanded they give us new room as our first one had a connecting inner door with the drunk neighbor that was threatening us) and they moved us to the very back of the resort on the same exact floor he was still on and sat us up in a room that had dumpsters banging the entirety of the early morning. It was a very unpleasant experience. One thing Brooke kept saying to me was "we can't control the guests and how they act". I said yes, but you can have systems in place so people communicate well and clearly in between staff members to make sure everything is being handled. Not one staff member has said the same thing to me after This incident. They are all over the place in their handling, policies, excuses and lack of awareness. communication is lacking badly in this staff and I hope they handle it like Brooke assured me they would, even though she said she can't tell me how it's been handled bc it's internal. So, not very reassuring. Go and enjoy but make sure you're head is on a swivel bc apparently these incidents happen quiet regularly if there major incidents happened in one night they we were there. Only two security guards for that entire property. It is not adequate at all. Just call the police if you need help. read more

What an overall horrible experience. I would never recommend this hotel. Even for the water park aspect. I was in the area for a conference at their sister hotel. The bed was so uncomfortable. There was a sheet and a prison blanket just as thin as the sheet and that is all they had. (I work for a software company in the corrections industry) . You couldn't turn the air down bc you would die in the bathroom getting ready. I am 100% sure there were acrobatics staying above me and I am super thankful the chandelier didn't fall it made a clang every time they walked. There are no curtains so the wooden blinds let the light in... My room was 30 minutes past the check in time so I was late to a conference gathering. I asked for a refund upon looking at the room to just go stay anywhere else. They offered me a night owl pass to try and "help". I declined. read more

ETA: it was 4 stars until I found roachs in the bath towel... We stayed here only because our hardware company was having their show at the convention center. I love the decor and aesthetic of the place, however if you stay on the side of the resort as the convention center, options for food and such throughout the day are limited. We walked across to the other part of the resort where they had more food options, however weren't super impressed. Until you get use to the resort it can be a little confusing, it was for us anyway. People here are nice, our room was clean and upon getting here we saw lots of cleaning going on. It's more geared to families and children, and didn't feel like somewhere I would choose for a vacation - not for the price that was paid. read more

If you want a water park experience for the kids, Wilderness At The Smokies is a perfect place. Outside of that, I do not have many positive things to add. For the price point, this would not be a recommended vacation spot. The hotel has a lot to work on. The floors are filthy, and the staff is inattentive and rude. One thing they tell you when you check in is to limit the noise, no running, and there is a quiet time. I can assure you none of these are enforced. There is constant running and yelling at all hours of the night. Also, the smell of marijuana is overwhelming across the facility. At one point, we walked into the hall, and the smell was overpowering. The family with us woke up at midnight due to the fire alarm. The alarm was set off by the neighboring room smoking marijuana. When they called the front desk, they were asked if there was any fire. The family advised no and told the front desk about the marijuana smoke. The front desk responded, "Oh, ok, we will reset the alarm." There is no room cleaning. You are advised to text an automated app if you need something. We did this for some towels, but ultimately, we had to track an attendant down to get some. Again, I accept certain things at a specific price. Wilderness was not able to provide that, and I was deeply appointed. Oh, just a minor update: It is 8-2-24 @ 1 a.m., and we have been listening to a fire alarm since midnight. No one seems to know what is going on or how to cut the squelching demon off. From working in a government agency for 30 years, I know there was no action plan at Wilderness if this was an actual incident. That is as much concerning as the fact that it isn't, and they still don't know what to do. Save your money! read more
