I had an outstanding experience with Critz BMW and couldn't be more impressed with their level of service. From start to finish, everything was efficient, professional, and incredibly customer-focused. Joe, my service advisor, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire process seamless. I was especially impressed that he was able to quickly assess what my car needed just by accessing information from my key fob--such a smart and convenient use of technology. While I waited, I received a video via text from the mechanic who inspected my car. He walked me through everything underneath--showing that my tires and brake pads were in great condition and pointing out any areas of concern. That level of transparency and communication was a fantastic touch and really built trust. When it turned out that some additional (and necessary) work wouldn't be completed the same day, they even arranged an Uber for me to get home. Throughout the entire process, I received timely text updates explaining what the car needed, the costs involved, and the progress being made. I picked up my car the next day without any hassle. After dealing with a few disappointing experiences at independent mechanics in Savannah, this was truly refreshing. I bought a car from here one year ago and they failed to tell me about a cracked windshield which I told them about approximately 2 weeks after buying the car. Not to mention they gave me a dirty car so I couldnt tell there was a crack. When I asked if they can repair it they said there was never a crack in it and it was my doing. They also never mentioned a tire that has been plugged in; which I had to get a whole new tire because most places wont do two plug ins on one vehicle. Now Ive been turned down 3 times from them where they told me this was all my fault so I never called about my new pre collision malfunction hazard light that started showing up 6 months after buying the car until 30 days after my dealer warranty expired. So they won't help me with that. In total my new car which is supposed to be a reliable toyota camry has been nothing but a headache. In one year I've had about 2k dollars in damage, and I dont even know how much this pre caulsion malfunction is going to cost. They wont work with you, don't go! read more

Purchased a used BMW 5 series a little over 2 weeks ago from these folks. What started out as what I considered a fantastic experience buying my first BMW of hopefully many (my wife was already looking forward to buying something brand new from them) has quickly turned into a nightmare scenario. Check Engine Light came on 5 days ago for an issue with the grill shutter assembly so we brought it in to be repaired only for the mechanic to also inform us that the engine mounts were incredibly worn and "they HIGHLY recommended replacement." This apparently isn't covered under the warranty and they are absolutely refusing to do the right thing here. We've had the car for such a short period of time that the tags haven't even come in the mail yet nor have we even made our first monthly payment. We've put less than 125 miles on the car. Iggy Soto (Sales Manager) claimed when they inspected the car before putting it up for sale they found no defects. There is absolutely no way that these worn engine mounts were "missed" when they inspected the car before selling it. Now they want $1300 to replace the mounts on a car I just bought from them 2 weeks ago. So many people that I spoke with about this thought there was no way Critz would treat a new customer like this and I'm sad to say those people were incredibly wrong. Critz will either knowingly sell a car with an issue like this or their mechanics are completely inept doing inspections. Don't expect them to treat you right. Stay far far away. read more

Ask for Philip! I was in the market for a very specific model used car which I happened to find online at Critz BMW. Critz is located about 450 miles away from me in another state and to say I bit nervous about buying a car that I could not see in person first was an understatement, but I decided to reach out to Critz BMw anyways and am happy I did. I was contacted the following morning by Philip Ellison. I expressed my concerns about buying a used car over the phone that I could not see in person first. Philip went above and beyond to try and help alleviate my concerns. You can tell that Philip is not only a car person himself but a straight shooter too. Not only did he take the time to send me over a dozen high resolution photos but also sent me several detailed videos in which he was sure to point all the minor imperfections (which were all normal things one would expect on a used car). The price negotiations were painless, without all the unnecessary games that a lot of car dealerships try which I truly appreciated. We were easily able to reach an agreement on price within 30 minutes. I decided to fly to Savannah and drive the car home instead of having the car transported to me as l wanted to see and drive it before paying for it and Philip with kind of enough to personally come pick me and my son at the airport in person. Once we got to the dealership, you could see that the car was detailed to perfection. Not a single water spot or speck of dust anywhere and it was exact as described oy Philip. He even went as far as to stored inside to keep the weather and element from messing up the detail job before I arrived. He could tell I was excited about buying the car which he said got him excited about having the car ready for me. After a quick test drive, we sat down to complete the necessary paperwork with Nikki in the finance department. In my 30+ years of buying and leasing cars, this was probably the quickest and nicest time! have had to spend with a finance manager in all my car buying experiences. Both Philip and Nikki reviewed some of the various protection plans that they had available for me, but I never felt as if they were being pushy or trying to hard sell me. Being over 50+ years old, I can honestly say that this was the most pleasant car buying experiences I have every had and want to personally thank Philip for making it so easy and pleasant. I called and called and called only to speak to the front desk. When I could finally speak with a service representative and part's representative they both tried to scam me and tell me I needed to replace my entire turbo system at roughly 5000$ before labor costs. I am an engineer and mechanic, I had to self diagnose my vehicle to find out my turbo waste gate at 56$ failed. Never will I recommend this place to anyone. Zurich stated that they would only pay for aftermarket 8/6 Headlight didn't fit and asked to bring it back 8/13 dropped bmw off, picked up loaner. Work to be completed that afternoon, then called and stated they were just waiting on detail to finish 8/14 Contacted said that the headlight modules were bad and that they would have to replaced as well as the headlights 8/15 Told to pick up vehicle at 4 pm. Paid bill and drove vehicle home. When I arrived home, the left headlight was full of water again and it stopped working again Almost a month and multiple trips, the warranty company paid 1117, I paid 849 dollars, and absolutely nothing has been fixed. They do a good job of fixing your car. Customer service is not the greatest. They never return your calls. I've been given the wrong diagnosis on my car multiple time causing to spend hundreds of dollars on repairs that I did not have to spend money on. Since it was the only Mercedes dealership in the area, I had no choice but to go to them. At times, customer service reps had no clue of my records while others did. It's bad when you go to other Mercedes dealerships and they talk bad reviews about that one. In terms of fixing your car, they do no cut corners, but they are just below average when it comes to correspondence on certain topics (except when it comes to them trying to see you a car. I was a service advisor, and service manager for years. If my service dept were to be run like this I would have not only been embarrassed, but fired. I recently took ownership of an older yet pretty nice BMW. Per my Carfax it had open recalls. I promptly called Critz to get an appointment to have them repaired. First available was a week away. I dropped my car off the evening before my 9 am appointment. I received a call at the END of the following business day to tell me parts had to be ordered. I asked why they were not ordered in preparation for an incoming recall, which was met with unknowledgeable. I then asked how long. I was told tomorrow or maybe the next day. After a full week of no contact I received a text to tell me my car was ready. The next day I had my son drop me off at Critz. When I walked into the service dept I was not greeted in any way. I had to ask who I needed to see to pick up my car, and everyone acted annoyed and unprofessional. I was then told by my "advisor" I don't have your keys for some reason. Sign here and slid a work order at me. After waiting too long. My car came into the service drive. Apparently the jets had been left in the car parked in the lot. He then said we did the recalls, but the airbag light is still on. I explained what it needed, not him. He walked away with no response, no thank you for your business, and no let us know if you need anything else. UNPROFESSIONAL in every sense of the word. Do you want to know how much this place truly sucks on the service end? They should shut down the shop and convert it to a Kirby Vacuum manufacturing facility. I've worked in the sales and service industry my entire life, and I've never quite found a manufacturer, nor service provider, who could give a sh## less about the actual product they sale and serve. I own an $83000 hard-top convertible BMW. It has 29,000 miles on it. Yes, it is just beyond the 60-month timeframe warranty. However, this car is such a hunk of sh## that if it rains... outside... and you happen to not have the car in your garage (where it's parked 99.9% of its life, because it's a Sunday car), that rain seeps in through the rear window seal and sits in the rear panels of the car. This is a KNOWN ISSUE WITH MANY SERVICE BULLETINS FROM BMW. The fix? They drill a hole in the bottom of the panels.. (the panels that they manufactured and covered incorrectly with other body panels so that they hold water and it sounds like the fuc#ing ocean getting hit by a meteorite in the back of your car). To make matters worse... if we have hard rain and too much water is standing inside my $83,000 sports car (that apparently has a water intrusion problem from the "German engineering" manufacturer), and I actually.. i don't know... drive the car... that Atlantic Ocean in the back splashes right into the trunk space where the amplifier, fuse boxes and other important electronics are located. So, this manufacturers defect not only was not covered by this service department (where they charged me nearly $500 to drill a hole in the body panel of my $83,000 sports car), but it also fried my amplifier. Guess how much they wanted to replace that?? $2,100. Then the very nice service rep (she is nice) forgot to tell me the car was ready that same day, after I told them to go fu## themselves for asking me to pay $2600 because my $83,000 sports car was built to hold water. So my car has been sitting on their lot for over a week (in the rain, fml, we know it leaks). There was no comment from Mr. Critz, Jr. I'm sure he's busy planning a beach run or expanding into the vacuum industry. read more

Right rear window quarter with an air leak over 30mph. oil change, and check over They had my car for over two weeks, installed the wrong wheel bearing and made me take the car cause of the holiday to bring back, told me there is nothing wrong with the window, Curbed my right front rim, scratches all over my car inside and out Arm prints hand prints body prints grease everywhere foot prints on panels in the car damaged the inside door grab put 260 miles on my car and left it on E with the light on(they beat the crap out of my Sports sedan since it came in on 3/4 a tank) the driver front door seal was worn through I am in the automotive business and almost every bad thing I have seen happen to customers happened to me in my first visit. My wife begged me to not use the warranty and fix it myself. My wife was right again. This dealership follows in the southern bad standards of service. Lauren never returned phone calls, and carries her self so miserably with me and other customers who have a problem more than easy maintenance. I was even told that they didn't have skilled enough techs to install the GM Performance Parts kit in my car. I installed the Air Box in 30 minutes and had it programmed the next day at Hilton Head Automotive. Also Hilton Head Buick fixed all the damage they caused to my car. And found issues that I didn't know about and fixed those too.... avoid this place.... Even their own employees that I know personally wont bring their cars there. P.S. Mr. Critz never returned my phone calls and it has been 7 months I messaged him on Facebook, and his E-mail and left messages at the dealership..... Dealerships with absentee Owners always fail... Mistake!!!!! My car came in with a check engine light on the 8th after Hilton Head Buick GMC couldn't diagnose my car. Well the new service manager is inexperienced and has too good of a heart to be working in such a swamp of bad ethics. The employees have distain for me because I can see right through the bs. Yeah you forgot that I did your jobs for years. They threw every part at my car and then let GM perform an unethical repair to my car. In one message I was told they made a custom computer calibration then when I flagged them on it they said no we put the OEM calibration in. My cars computer is now storing communication failures. The dealer refuses to have me back to see it. My car randomly attempts to stall, transmission randomly slips. My Regal is suppose to have 295hp with the GM Performance kit but is missing at least 100hp. The wastegate is hanging open and causing the turbo to not spool until 4,000rpm where it surges in power. Here is everything they threw at my car Turbo Engine control module Intake hoses Stage kit Cam phasers Vacuum tank Vacuum pump Fuel injectors Btw it is called theft when you remove something off someone's car they paid for without their permission. Also by removing the Calibration but leaving the equipment you are violating the Clean Air Act. There is a reason the kit is certified 50 state emissions legal. Hey but it is out of their hands. They wouldn't even give me finalized paperwork. Go find a dealer that has a truthful and honest owner because it will make even a person of faith a liar all to keep their job. Yes Dale I saw right through you in that meeting. I can read between the lines. You should have taken me up on what I wanted which was a place for the Field Engineer to work on my car. Instead I once again got the same techs that couldn't diag a wheel bearing in two weeks and when they finally did they installed the wrong ones. Also you can send me the nickel finished window trim that you stripped the clear coat off of from the detail I didn't want... you were suppose to wash it... That is to you John since you said you would replace it. But since I am not allowed back you can mail them to me I will put them on and not damage my car further. The car was also given back to me again practically on E. Great I'm required to send back the loaner with gas but your not.... So refusal of service even after they cause more problems. Had an appointment for an oil change for this morning at 9:30 am and by 2:30 I still had not heard anything . After placing a call I was told my car was still in line for service. At that point I told them I was coming down to pickup the car. In route I received a phone call informing me that the car would now be ready within in the hour. I arrived at the service department at 4 the car was not ready. Finally at 4:30 I was informed the car was ready. I took my 2008 BMW 7 series in for a coolant leak, THEY diagnosed my vehicle. I paid $$$$ and later when I had gotten it home and had a chance to look at it, it was still leaking coolant from the same area. I took it back and was told that it was some thing else! They would not admit that they were wrong. Instead, the service manager kept saying that my vehicle was old. My vehicle is in worst shape after taking it to them, because now the coolant leaks out of the car while I'm driving, splashing all over my driveway, it wasn't doing that before! The service manager Campbell is just HORRIBLE AND A VERY DISRESPECTFUL person. I want to know how do the employees feel about themselves after they have practically taken money from people?! This is not a honest place to do business. The hardship that they have placed on their customers will come back to them...KARMA. Campbell has no respect for African American women he talked to me like he wanted to be the QUEEN! He's very arrogant, thinks his superior and his type wants to feel important but would NEVER talk to a MAN (face to face) the way he talked to me. After various conversations, I have become MOST frustrated with the situation the Critz brand is blaming on the State of Georgia in regards to you not being able to produce a title for the automobile purchase I made from Critz on June 19th. (today is August 19). At this point, someone must take ownership of the situation. The fact is that I am a customer of Critz. When I purchased a car from the company, I expected it would care of ME and the LEGAL details associated with this purchase. I will not accept that we should "just have to wait" until Critz can "figure it out". My family and I went through a traumatic situation when we were in an accident and totaled our car on August 2nd. This was unfortunately while Critz had still (since the purchase of the car on June 19th) not done anything to ensure we were protected with a clear title to the car we purchased from you. While I understand the accident itself was out of anyone's control, the lack of effectiveness and unwillingness to help from Critz is making our situation worse. This will not stop here and is not over. I've reached out to elected officials and will continue spreading the word about this situation until I figure out who will take ownership. How disappointing, and what an embarrassment to customer service, to have had their title manager tell me "I'm sorry but no one dropped the ball here". Customer service 101 would teach that when a customer is in distress about a traumatic situation you would NEVER speak to them this way. I understand that this person I spoke with can't do anything about this as she obviously was NOT empowered or trained to put customers first. I will be contacting others along with the bank who financed, additional owners, more friends and family, etc. in hopes of finding out how to best deal with this ridiculous situation. After 5:30pm, we started trying to reach them calls, texts, voice mails. Finally, between 6:30pm and 7pm they texted back saying the car would deliver tomorrow morning. I should have left on a trip 1 1/2 hours earlier. We buy high end cars, we expect high end service. That does not exist at critz. This is not our first bad experience as they are also technically weak. (Don't even get me started about what they said about the brakes on our CLS) Our CLS and our GLS will be going elsewhere once we get our MIA GLS back! read more

I recently brought my vehicle in re: a vehicle inspection light that was on. I specified this to the service department the day prior to bringing my vehicle in and again when I brought my car in. After waiting for 3.5 hrs (when initially told it would take 1.5hrs); I was told that a diagnostic fee would be implemented, however, they could not find an issue with the "check engine" light (there was no check engine light on because this was not the issue). I drove the car around thinking the light would disappear after driving a few miles. After this was not rectified, I went in to the service department again and spoke to the supervisor who came to assess the car. He dismissively stated that they do not do vehicle inspections and then he changed the date of the vehicle inspection so the alert light was removed. This review is for Critz BMW: My car was serviced in March. I went to drop of my car, and when I arrived, there were 3 sales reps present. No one spoke. I went to the rep closest to the door who had salt and pepper hair, an older gentlemen. I scheduled the service appt online, and I indicated what services needed to be completed, and left a comment on the issue I was having as well. NOTED: My vehicle is still under warranty. When I spoke with the service advisor, he asked me why I was there and if I had an appointment.(I thought my presence in the service department was self explanatory). Then was asked my last name and phone number, and after answering all of his questions, I was miraculously located in the system. He then asked what needed to be done (I already put down all the information when I scheduled the appointment online). He asked for my keys and never even put his hand out to receive them. So, I slid them to him. My appointment was scheduled for 8 AM. I was not directed, nor shown the waiting area, asked if there was a need for further assistance, or was even asked if I was going to wait or needed a loaner vehicle. Thank goodness my spouse followed me to the dealership, or I would have been stranded with no way to get home. I wasn't told to have a good morning, or thanked for using their service department. My car was not ready until after 12 noon. Maybe the service advisor thought that there weren't any appointments, places of importance, or place of employment,or anything that needs to be completed after 8 AM on a weekday. When I went to pick up my vehicle, no one went over what was completed, only told matter-of-factly, what the issue was. Then he just placed the keys on the desk, walked away from me without warning, to print off the service report. He returned and asked me to sign by Chris, didn't even show me where. That was okay, I'm not illiterate. I signed, grabbed my keys, and left. I'm so happy that I didn't have to pay for this horrible service. This is by far , the worse experience that I have had with a BMW service center. I normally go to Hilton Head or Atlanta, where I initially purchased my car. One would think, that with purchasing a luxury vehicle, you would receive exemplary service, but obviously I was wrong. My spouse and I, are NOW looking for other car makes, where we will be appreciated as customers. Ones' who pay a certain amount of money for their vehicles'. We will NOT return to this Service center again. Sadly, we will not purchase another BMW either. There's too many options for luxury makes, to tolerate one who doesn't not appreciate your patronage. read more

Reported a problem to them the same week the warranty expired, and two weeks later (after they'd had the car back twice!) they indicate it will not be covered under the factory warranty! They had the car leading up to the warranty expiration. How was I to report it? Service department also terrible about returning callbacks; they are good at dodging your calls, too. "Slick" Rick was our service advisor. I expected more from a MB service center. Then I realized it was THIS service center that was the problem. I bought a special car - I should receive special service! Good luck on getting a loaner from them, too! Requested a call from a service manager multiple times,....to this day not sure if we ever truly spoke with one. And all the days they had my car, never received a loaner! I wouldn't even give them one star if it was an option. Had to have a new thermostat installed in my BMW. It was returned with a very squeaky fan belt which was not that way before and a loose radiator that had not been properly refastened. Days later when I had to use the heater to defog my windshield, I found that the blower didn't work. I tried to call and was told the service manager would call me back. Hasn't happened yet. I'm only in town for a short time on a business trip and my car was returned to me in worse shape than I gave it to them. If I could give them no stars I would! The first time I went to this dealership I thought they we're just having a bad day. One of the service advisor actually looked at me and my wife and laughed as we walked in. Walk in and you have two people on their personal phones that can't even look up and acknowledge that you've pulling up or walked in? After 4 days if having my car I still hadn't heard from my service advisor so I call and ask what's going on with my car. This place is a joke! I get better customer service at a fast food restaurant then at a BMW dealership that is sad. I plan on giving BMW of North America a call as well. read more

After retirement and moving to Savannah from the midwest, I had always dealt with our local Mercedes dealership and service group. What a fantastic surprise and was so pleased and relieved to take my vehicle in for an annual workup at Critz Mercedes and received excellent, professional and extremely kind service from Gilbert Sloan, my Service Advisor and all of the professionals at Critz. As a new individual in town, the kindness I was shown as well as the reasonable prices proved again the people in Savannah practice those Southern manners. Great service center! Were very helpful throughout the entire process. At first I wasn't sure if they would be able to fix the issue I was having with my car, but they got to the bottom of it and were quickly able to resolve. Service Department & Customer Service I have taken my car there three times now and every time I hope for a different experience. Never the less they disappointed me once again but this time with multiple issues. First off, I had to wait to schedule an appointment for April 24th just to get a loaner car. They never offered a rental knowing I live an hour away and they are the closest Mercedes dealership to me. I did not have time to wait until April 24th as my car needed service soon. I volunteered to drop off my car Saturday and I did not expect them to service it that day because they were already short staff as they informed me. They did state, however, that my vehicle would be ready by Monday. I received NO CALL because for the 3rd time, they stated they had my number and my husbands's number incorrect in their system. I have updated our numbers every time I had something done to my vehicle and every time, myself or my husband would have to call to follow up on my vehicle. They continue to tell us that they tried to contact us to either pick up my vehicle or update me on my vehicle but they had the wrong number on file so my vehicle either sits there until we call or we have no update on it. It is now . It is now Tuesday and I am still without my vehicle. When I spoke with the service department today I was told Gil left specific instructions about my car and it never got done. Critz expects my payment to be in full so I expect my car to be ready when they say it would be ready or COMMUNICATION on an update. I have no issues paying what is due but to be out of a car for two days and I live 1 hours away from dealership, it became a huge inconvenience for myself and my husband. My husband is in the military and he had to take time off to get me around these past two days. I informed Gil that I will no longer take my vehicle there, as it has been such a bad experience every time. I rather drive the extra miles to take it out of state to get proper customer service. Also, I explained to Gil that I would like to talk with the manager about my balance that is due. After he spoke with the manager, the manager declined any discount off the service that was done. I will pay what is due and never recommend this dealership when I am asked about my vehicle. read more
