Everything was smooth in the initial moving as well as excellent and responsive communication from Allen from start to finish. Moreover, my bed frame is a 17th century antique and difficult to assemble and dissemble. So when they left the first time, l discovered my headboard was loose, which surprised me as there was no such issue in my previous residence. So l informed Allen and within a week the fellows returned to Bloomfield, New Jersey all the way from Brooklyn and attempted to tighten the headboard with unfortunately less than great success, despite much effort. It didn't occur to me until they'd left that the rails must have been reversed so yet again the gentleman returned and spent at least 45 minutes to reverse the rails with much better results. Therefore, on a scale of 1-10, a la Spinal Tap, l rate them an 11 and will not only never use another company but will sing their praises until the day l die! read more

We contracted Esquare Moving and Storage Inc, specifically because of their reputation for superior, high-end care, paying a premium for "white glove" service. However, the service and experience provided was the total opposite. It was unacceptable and negligent. The movers carelessly handled our belongings. From the moment they stepped in the door, one of the movers made a snide remark.We always expect courteous and respectful conduct. And that was not the case. They broke the blinds, damaged/chipped the wood on our furniture, lost our sofa pillows, they stuffed our belongings carelessly in a bag, our clothes were on the floor and they did not care to pick them up until I brought it to their attention. They discarded the tape rolls around the apartment as if it was a waste disposal basket. They put our sofas back as a toddler would put a toy back together. And honestly a toddler would had done a better job. The movers were negligent and extremely unprofessional. They took cigarette breaks lengthening the moving process and transferring the smell inside the space and around our belongings.One of the crew members was extremely rude and arrogant. He took our tree and banged it against the door when moving it out. Slammed the roll of black bags on the floor. He could have care less for the job he was performing. Because we paid for professional, white-glove service, we expect items to be handled with extreme care. The carelessness of the staff has resulted in leaving us with a very sour experience and it was totally the opposite of what was denoted to us in our initial conversation and in the reviews. I will never recommend their services to anyone, not even to my worse enemy. To anyone thinking of hiring this company do not go by the reviews as we did. Do your research! Be warned! read more

The movers themselves worked very hard and were polite throughout the day. Moving is physically demanding work and I do want to acknowledge their effort. Unfortunately, the overall experience with the company was very frustrating. One of the first issues was that the home we were moving into has carpet throughout, and the movers arrived without any clear solution or protection for it. There was no immediate plan for keeping the carpet clean while large furniture was being brought into the house. We eventually had to figure something out during the move ourselves, but the carpet still ended up getting dirty. This is something I would expect a professional moving company to be prepared for when moving into a carpeted home. There was also damage during the move, including scratches on the ceiling and damage to a drawer. The company did eventually address the damage, which I appreciate, but dealing with repairs right after moving into a new home is stressful. The biggest issue was the pricing. In the middle of the move I received a call saying there would be additional charges for "extra items." My original quote was around $2,000 and they added roughly another $1,000 while the move was already underway. That is about a 50 percent increase from the original quote, which is a very difficult situation to be put in when your belongings are already on the truck. After reviewing the inventory later, several items listed as "extra" appeared to overlap with items that were already included in the original inventory, such as boxes, lamps, and small furniture pieces. The adjustment felt excessive and was not clearly explained at the time. While the crew worked hard and the company did eventually address the damage, the lack of preparation for a carpeted home and the way the additional charges were handled made this a stressful experience. I would strongly recommend getting the final price confirmed in writing before the move begins and asking exactly how "extra items" will be handled. read more

We decided to use another moving company's labor after E Square Moving and Storage called us the day before unloading to double the original quoted price. They first claimed that their staff gave us a wrong quote. Then they said the bot made a mistake on Yelp's web page. We reviewed the list of unloading items we sent them before. They still wanted to double the price. Therefore, we told them just refund our deposit. E Square Moving and Storage did a flawless job for me in March 2025. I needed them to meet me at a relative's house in the country in Monmouth County, NJ, to pick up a few pieces of furniture and family pictures. Then I needed them to take the items back to Manhattan and deliver them to my apartment. I'd also asked them to remove a very old, dilapidated sofa from my Manhattan apartment and discard it. The country house in NJ isn't visible from the road. Even with GPS, it's not easy finding it. So at 9AM when I looked outside and saw their blue truck just outside the house, I was very happy. We used this service for a move from New York City to western Massachusetts. It went very well. The front office people are great to deal with, very precise, good at responding to calls and followup. The movers were timely, strong and capable. I was unhappy when the workers became aggressive in the last few minutes about getting extra payment when a large piece of furniture didn't fit in the elevator at the destination. They had to carry it up 2 flights of stairs and wanted an extra tip even though I had committed in advance to a substantial one. tip. However when the company learned of this, they told me this behavior by the workers was not in their protocols and refunded the extra tip to me. Their initial emails outline everything you would need for your move, and with tips and recommendations, and a checklist, which I thought was very helpful and thoughtful. I gave them a list of the items I would need moved. They adjusted the price accordingly and provided a breakdown. Everything was completely transparent. You know what you're paying for. Also, the movers were efficient and professional. They disassembled and wrapped all my furniture and then reassembled at my new place. All of it was handled with care. A week after the move, I noticed that one part of my furniture was reassembled on the wrong side.
