I paid 12 dollars for a 12 oz pretty normal coffee and a very plain croissant.. if you go to pascaline you'll get a really nice croissant for way less money than that . I've been here twice now and have been thoroughly impressed. I used to come to the space when it was Soul Riders, and it has completely transformed. First off, the quality of the service is great and family oriented. Second, the coffee and food is great! I work across the street and this is quickly becoming a staple for me. Crooks Coffee is a delight. Creativity and genuine care shine through in a sea of coffee shops at our disposal in Santa Rosa. If you're looking to treat yourself, get one of their speciality drinks! The creme brûlée latte was so good. Caramlized sugar and caramel drizzle on top of the foam.. YUM. The gentleman making my drink apologized for the wait when he didn't have to, but I appreciated that he showed he truly cared and wanted my experience to be very positive. The space itself was very cute, with a variety of seating (comfy chairs, bar top, tables) and I hope people find out how special this coffee shop is because a lot of small places don't always make it. The food they were serving looked delicious too but I wasn't that hungry... looking forward to trying something next time. I'm rooting for this spot! read more

I love this coffee shop! I've gotten to know the family over the past couple weeks due to me being her everyday for hours on end to study. I love the family and it truly warms my heart that's it's a family run operation. I'm very big on supporting our community. Their coffees flavors are bold and amazing. I'm a huge caffeine fein and I love love there caffeina blend it's truly one of my favorites as well as there S'mores mocha another fantastic favorite of mine. My usual is a quad shot expresso just due to me studying for hours and hours. I love their expresso it has a unique taste. Not only is it a great atmosphere to study and focus but great to laugh and feel like you can be yourself. They have fun nights where they will have live performers and barter night! Witch I think barter night is really cool, fun and unique plus it totally fits there older style vibe but still being extremely modern. I love how it's a place anyone and everyone can come no matter how you look or how many tattoos you have or how you go about life they welcome you with open arms and smiles! Truly a wonderful and genuine place that will have relaxing hours with few people and hours with a rush of smiling coffee hungry people. I will keep coming here even after I get through my classes and continue my business. Only part that I have to say is sometimes there WiFi gets slow but that also may be from how many people come in sometimes and may be that I'm taking online classes so may be hard for any laptop to load. read more

I love supporting local businesses so when I saw this place on yelp I had to check it out. When we walked in we were greeted by Karen who was absolutely friendly and patient (we didn't know what we wanted). I found out that Karen is one of the owners along with her family. Local and family owned! We ordered bagels and coffee. The bagels were great and super soft and not too much cream cheese. The coffee was on point. They even had a lady walk around giving out samples of in house maple scones which were also delish. I will definitely be back on a regular basis. read more

Cody and his family are awesome. GREAT location, very conveniently located in downtown Santa Rosa. Parking as downtown can be, may take a bit of looking but there is parking available in various lots close to Crooks plus curb parking if you can snag it. The coffee is strong & well made. My kids approved of the cocoa. Its bigger than a hole in the wall but still cozy. They also have frequent events (open mic etc) which is cool. read more

Nice little coffee shop in Downtown Santa Rosa. I had the spiced chai, but too much either cloves or cinnamon, as I was having trouble swallowing for a couple of hours afterwards. Comfortable seating with wifi and some outlets. Yummy chocolate.dipped macaroons and pastries. The coffee is rich and delicious. Outdoor seating out front is on direct sun. We recently traveled to Santa Rosa and found this spot on our very first morning there - and had breakfast and coffee there each subsequent day of our stay! The coffee is fantastic, the owners are friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast sandwiches, burritos, and bakery goods are wonderful. Highly recommended! On our last day there we actually tried to branch out and go somewhere else, but we were not impressed with any other menus and found Crooks to have the best prices we could find too for what we knew to be great food. read more

I have been here a few times and enjoy the coffee and the staff, but this last visit made me rather unhappy. I arrived at 11:45 with a friend for a coffee and snack, we both picked the bacon breakfast burrito. We knew the place was closing since we got informed form a gentlemen outside but was not expecting the person at the counter to tell us the oven was shut down and we could pick up a sandwich two doors down if we wanted something hot. Would have given a higher rating, but to be detoured, and then see 4 people walk in after me was very surprising. I get you want to close down at noon, but if you have paying customers it seems like you would heat the food up over missing out on the sales. Just a thought read more

This place was so damn cute. I came in one morning so freakin hungry and tired but I didn't want anything super complicated. I opted for their avocado toast + smoked salmon (so excited about this btw) with a Earl Grey tea. The service was real nice. They also accept Apple Pay + G Pay which is suppppppppppper amazing because what if I forget my wallet but I really want a snack? My only complaint would be that the avocado toast was small and the avocado slices made it difficult to eat with one hand. I had to strategize eating this toast and tbh, was not in the mental state to do all that. Perhaps mashing it up a bit so the salmon has something to hold onto. Will I come back? I did later that day for their Gunpowder green tea which was deeeeeelicious. But like will I be back-back? Uh huh they serve some really good loose leaf tea options :) read more

I stopped by Santa Rosa for a lunch break and I stumbled across this coffee shop on my Apple maps. I ordered an iced chai latte (sweet) which was okay at first, but sips later and the flavor started to get very bitter. If I were to come here again, I would definitely order a different drink or maybe add more sweetener. read more
