We drive past pillowfight on our way over to Santa Rosa, but we haven't been able to stop until today & I am so happy we did! We were greeted by the owner who was so sweet & helpful in helping us pick out a coffee. We decided to order from their seasonal menu, my husband ordered the eggnog latte & I ordered the caramel toffee latte. Both of our coffees came out delicious! The coffee shop has plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, great for families & well behaved pets are welcome as well. They sell handmade & local gifts, all very cute. Found this little coffee shop off of Highway 12. Their coffee is delicious! Great selection of drinks as well as seasonal specialties and food. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Though it was our first time stopping, they made us feel at home. They carry merch as well as other local items. They have a "pillow room" that offers a more intimate setting to sit and enjoy your coffee or pastry. Highly recommend stopping by for some great coffee! Looking forward to our next visit! I've come here twice and both times the food, coffee and service were fantastic. In addition to that, the place was busy during both of my visits which is great. Pillowfight Coffee is tucked away in kenwood and has a great history if you have time to come in and read about the world pillow fighting championships. The space was bright but still had a quiet, cozy feel with the abundance of pillows to relax with. The staff was extremely friendly and welcomed our son to take any seat. What a delightful place this cafe is and a very welcome addition to Kenwood. Both the exterior & interior decor is charming. The matcha I ordered was superb as was the Veggie Quiche. Went in on a Friday around 11, service was quick and staff was friendly. By that time they were out of empanadas so I would suggest going in earlier if that's what you're going for. I opted for the potato quiche which was really good, I'm not a big quiche fan but I definitely would get it again. For the month of March they have special drinks and I got the Fruity Pebble Matcha, I'm not sure if it comes unsweetened and I was supposed to add a syrup of my liking but it didn't have much flavor, could very much be my fault for not asking. One of the best matchas I've had in Northern California!! The taste was incredible, very concentrated, and actually tasted like Matcha with a good splash of almond milk as opposed to the opposite. Stopped by on a whim after seeing their name, the name is adorable. But what really, really impressed me is their food. The breakfast sandwich in particular for me really punches above it's weight class, I was figuring for something just OK and would get me by with my coffee, but it was surprisingly phenomenal and something I crave and go there for specifically now. Stopped here on the way to Landmark wines. The staff is super friendly and kind. There were 4 of us, and there were lots of changes, substitutions and modifications. Okay, maybe I'm dinging the place too harshly because the day after thanksgiving there was hardly and food for sale. I did order & eat a very mediocre plain croissant. Totally wet gloppy dough inside. I don't share other Yelp reviewers opinion about the quality and flavor of the coffee. I bought a 16 ounce cup of the drip. I drink coffee black, no nothing else in it. This coffee was nutty, slightly sour, thin textured, had an unpleasing aroma. No richness, no depth. The Costco medium roast beans that I grind and brew most mornings at home makes a far more pleasing cup of coffee. The servers were all delightfully nice. The place is bright and cheery. Those attributes is why I'm rating 3 stars. The food and coffee = 2 stars. read more

I've been waiting for this coffee shop to open and it was worth the wait! The ambiance inside and outside is fantastic - clean, aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. My family and I stopped by Pillowfight earlier today on a whim, in between wine tasting appointments. We didn't have too much time but desperately needed coffee and something quick and delicious to eat. We took a chance on this place snd I'm definitely glad we did! We had a dirty chai, hot chocolate, and a latte along with some butternut squash soup, ham and cheese croissant, and egg & sausage sandwich. Everything was damn good, especially the ham and cheese croissant - that was my personal favorite. The people behind the counter were friendly, fast with no mistakes made. We are in the area a couple of more days so we'll be back again before we head back home to try a few other things. All in all, a great little spot for both food and coffee! read more

We came today for the first time and we're excited to check out Pillowfight as it looked like a cute coffee shop to try. First things first, staff was super welcoming and kind and the coffee shop was very cute and cozy which was awesome. Sadly, my chai latte was at not good at all. I was really excited to have a delicious Chai but instead recieved a steamed cup of what consisted of milk and watery Chai. I was too shy to say anything as they were very busy and invested in their locals and I didn't know who would be best to talk to. I wish I would've tried maybe their mocha or a straight latte as that may have been a better bet but I was bummed that my first time here was a let down as again, the staff were super kind and the coffee shop is adorable. read more

Our family greatly enjoyed our stops at Pillow Fight coffee. It has a relaxed and playful ambiance celebrating the history of Kenwood with photos and items from the old pillow fight contests. Really cute cafe with wonderful food, drinks and service! So many options for little ones-- they even asked if we wanted the vanilla steamers at kid temp-- greatly appreciated so our kids dont burn their mouths. The bathroom had a full changing table set up (which our family doesn't need anymore but it's always a plus for parents). I excitedly waited for this place to open as the opening date got pushed back. When I went I was delighted, the food was good, the coffee was good, the pillow whip cream was like having a dessert! I wish they would get some larger ceramic cups because if you don't want a to go cup (which I don't if I want to sit there and have a nice experience), it does not fit the pillow whip if you get that for your coffee. It's either spilling over the edge all over the plate or they have to put some in a separate cup. A larger cup would easily solve that and it's nice to have real ceramic unless you're really getting it to go. I've been back many times since and had very mixed experiences. First of all the place is very cute and everyone there seems nice. I'm sure they have to keep watch of their inventory but they have run out of food items on the weekend by 11 AM. But stuff happens! What I will say is they had/ have a wonderful ham and cheese croissant. It was a great size, good for splitting with somebody if you didn't want a lot of food or are watching your diet. Plenty of ham and cheese and even my sister who's not really a meat eater loved it! So I've bought that over and over when they had it. And the cheese and jalapeño scones which are more of a biscuit consistency and I really like them a lot also, even if you really don't taste the jalapeños. I have gone before where it seems like the owner listens for the orders near the register and then heat up the food accordingly. One time I only got one out of two items and had to ask about the other. They then heated up the other item for me after being given a questioning look. They didn't ask, but I had a receipt showing that I bought both of them. Another time I saw a croissant sitting on the counter and no one said a name or anything. I figured it couldn't be mine because the ham and cheese are much bigger, so I figured it must be some kind of sweet croissant. Eventually I heard my name and it turns out that the croissant sitting there WAS mine after all, and was 2/3 of the size it used to be with less ham and less cheese. Very disappointing! And then the girl said "oops I didn't make yours with oat milk I have to make it over again". an apology might've been nice and the fact that now my warm croissant is sitting even longer. I noticed a lot less people in there for a weekend than the beginning, which I guess is typical after the new buzz lessons.. Hopefully this is just a hiccup and not an indication of cost or cutting back on quality. I haven't been back for a little while now because I got spoiled with how it was when it first opened. I will definitely give them more chances and hope that they return to their prior food portions and pay a little more attention to detail. I'm still all about supporting local so give them a chance. It might've been a couple of rough days. read more
