It took me a 2nd read to figure out the name. When I went to the Ferry farmers' market towards the end of February, I noticed a new stand near the clock tower closer to the building entrance. I actually walked by and made a point to stop back after finishing my shopping. I bought a variety of items, some that I recognized and others that I asked about. Bringing them home, I started with the first item the next morning in reheating the ham & cheese croissant (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=WFYaC54tReBlOdQQOkVlVg) for breakfast. I was impressed as this was both attractive and the aroma was deliciously fragrant after leaving my toaster oven. The next item tried was the artichoke turnover (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=Xv23GFeaupc0jTY5p9Anvg) which was okay by comparison; the artichoke aspect didn't stand out. A day or two later, I had dessert with their chocolate peppermint cake (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=u87hx-uA6oJIB8Nj-Vw36Q); I wasn't sure how this would work as I feared one flavor would dominate the other but I was wrong. It works. A few days later, I reheated a Nutella croissant (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=A9j9n9XYdw6fxy_oqQ7TEQ) for breakfast; sadly, like the artichoke turnover, this was underwhelming and I wouldn't have recognized it if I didn't buy this myself. The last item that I tried was the caramelized onion & 2 cheese quiche (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=yDZnidb7aVQdCf5mwHKbQA) which I forgot that I bought. It was a little after the best eaten by time so it probably wasn't as good as it should have been due to my poor memory. I reheated this and the savory flavors were there but there was a slight bitter aftertaste. My two favorites were definitely the ham & cheese croissant and the chocolate cake as I would get both of them again. Big thanks to Ike (pronounced (E-kay), who manned the stand and patiently identified the various items on the table for me. I will continue to look for things here when my pastry supply is low. My son told me about this place, and we happened to be over at the Hyatt a block away with some friends, and thought we'd get a coffee and a pastry, and clearly it was a wise decision. It's in a somewhat odd location; find a parking spot on the street and walk over. I don't believe they have their own parking area. The pastries here were off the chain. It's really very homey, cute, and kinda rustic-chic. They have lots to offer: pastries, cookies, cakes, little refrigerators with go snacks and drinks. The service here was great, always friendly and helpful. I've ordered a mocha, which was yummy, but loved the crebblechino even better with my matching pastry, the crebble part croissant and cinnamon roll, my favorite, it's an adorable place to get a delicious snack and a great coffee too. cheers, my friends SYOY 11/22/25
Bread heaven!!! Wow, Chef/Owner Amy Brown and Team know their dough. I've purchased Marla breads from Shelton's in HBG - always so fresh and delicious, and a step above many others. I stopped in recently to their bakery/cafe in Santa Rosa's Railroad Square. What a local gem! I wanted one of everything but showed some restraint being that it was more of a snack time than meal time. I ordered a tartine from the display. My photo does not do it justice! Fresh bread (some of the best around!), farm cheese, cheddar cheese, Early Girl tomatoes...heated to cheesy, crunchy perfection. Yum! Dreaming of my next visit!
We were staying at the La Rose Hotel and were craving croissants, so we walked to Marla in the morning! The little pastry shop is very cute and cozy. They even have outdoor seating which looked nice. The service was friendly, and we got the hazelnut croissant (warmed up). We took it back to the hotel and ate it on our balcony. What a treat! I can see why this place has five stars! The croissant was divine- and had lovely layers of buttery flaky pastry intertwined with hazelnut. And no- they didn't just add Nutella. This was legit homemade hazelnut filling! Gosh such a divine little naughty dessert! I highly recommend Marla for breakfast! You'll fall in love.
Walking in, you get greeted by friendly staff and warm ambience. There is an extensive menu with many drinks and treats. The baguette had a very strong crunch with a savory salami and the sauce spread on the baguette was also tasty. The only thing I wish this coffee shop had was high chairs, but other than that, everything was great. Regardless I'll still be back.
Marla Cafe of Santa Rosa, brought their baked goods to the Clement Street Farmers Market located in San Francisco. They had a fairly long line, but everyone patiently waited for their turn. Yummy pies, cookies, and pastries, for me a great option since I wanted a slice not a full pie. Worth checking out their homestyle treats.
We stopped by this cozy little coffee shop after breakfast and we were very pleasantly surprised. The space is very cute, clean, welcoming and smelled strongly of some kind of spice (guessing cardomom). The folks at the register were very friendly and helpful, and answered a lot of our questions about the baked goods and coffee. More importanty, what we had was very good. Coffee - I had a latte and my wife had an Americano and we were actually both surprised at how much we liked our coffee. Apparently they use their own blend which was really nice. It was smooth, fragrant, slightly sweet with a very nice finish. I don't think we realized how much we enjoyed it until we were finishing it in the car on the way to Sonoma. We might actually pick up a bag to make at home next time. Gateau Basque - This one captivated my wife from the display and ended up being quite tasty. Her description was that the crust was like shortbread, not too buttery, the cherries were well balanced with the custard. The cake was not too sweet, and good even cold, which was impressive. I'm a fan of this place, we'll definitely come back next time we're in the area. I'm looking forward to trying some of their other pastries and maybe picking up some coffee for home.
This spot is definitely a tourist spot. I wanted to try something new so we came here. The croissant my sister got was absolutely amazing. My almond butter toast, very basic and a bit on the higher end for prices without having any fruit like banana or strawberry on it. My sister got iced coffee and it was pretty decent. I decided to try their love latte (I forget the full name) it tasted a lot like horchata but with no sugar. If you do add the sugar it's alright. Would I get it again? Probably not. Service was alright. The girl at the front was nice, but the dude making the drinks seemed annoyed when I asked for a bag for a boy who was waiting for about 5 minutes and was not being helped. The worker tried to put my food in the bag and I explained it was for the child, not for me and he just kind of stared and I swear he rolled his eyes.... I get that they were busy but asking for a bag isn't unusual in brunch spots? The restaurant is very LA like, it has plants and the bougie decor like a spot in la. Ambiance was definitely more upscale, people were dressed a lot nicer than the regular coffee shops I go to. If I go again I'd get a basic croissant and coffee. Those were the better items on their menu.
I am a coffee snob, so when I say their cappuccino is awesome, you can trust me! The people- they must be smoking something- I came here 2 days in a row and while the staff changed, the attitude did not!!! Everyone is so nice, courteous and helpful. It's just a pleasure to be on the receiving end!!!! Anyway, if you want great coffee, breakfast/lunch while being served by friendly staff, this is the place for you!!!!

Great small bakery and coffee shop. Chill vibe, super friendly staff. Quality coffee drinks. Had the best Avo Toast - homemade bread, slice fresh avocado with a light seasoning that doesn't hide the delicate taste of the fruit, spring mix with a very light vinaigrette and a perfect soft egg on top. Ham & Cheese croissant and Cardamom Coffee Cake were also really good. read more
Yes, Marla SR is a bakery -- but don't let that fool you into thinking a muffin is your only option. Breakfast and lunch are served daily (except Tuesday and Wednesday, when Marla presumably rests and reflects on how good her bread is), and now Saturday evenings bring a dinner service starting at 5 PM. No reservations, counter service only, which honestly feels appropriate for a place this unpretentious. The chicken sandwich deserves its own paragraph. Tender sliced breast, cooked to actual perfection, served on Marla's own bread -- which, if you've had it, you know is doing a lot of heavy lifting in an already great sandwich. The devoted regulars here have the slightly smug energy of people who discovered something before you did, and they're not wrong. Three separate seating areas mean you can find your spot, settle in, and join the cult. Resistance is futile and also unnecessary because the food is excellent. read more

Delicious coffee in a cute coffee shop! The staff is super friendly and willing to correct any mistakes. The crebble is my favorite and I always come back for more. Not too sweet and not too strong. I feel comfortable and at home whenever I come here. read more

I loved my iced honey vanilla latte w oatmilk!!! The drink has a perfect balance since all syrups are made in house! The atmosphere is eveything since the layout is very warm and homey, baristas are the best! read more

I recommend it as a sweet airy space to hang out for food or drinks or coffee. When we came at arguing non there was no one there. We got their coffee (a medium regular, and a large latte). We also got a home made chocolate croissant. Service was quick. The coffee was average, not bad, but did feel a bit jipped by the size of the coffee cups. The large appears to be 12 oz and it was $7! (And i graciously added a dollar tip) the medium was possibly 8oz (4.50 for the medium regular coffee) and small must be 6 oz? The croissant was delicious and perfectly buttery, had that unique homemade taste ($8!!!). They had other intriguing bakery items; desserts, breads, etc., so on the higher end side. They also feature Friday dinners that seem to focus on fried chicken. They have sandwiches, wine, and other things. I'll need to have a bigger pay check to go back much. read more

Very neat little spot to stop in and grab a bite to eat and a warm coffee in the go. Some friends and I had arranged to meet there for a quick bite before we hit the road for a little road trip. Parking is weird, they have street parking which could be hard to find if downtown is busy. I think there might have been a parking lot behind some how but I honestly wasn't sure how to get back there hah. Inside is cute and welcoming. Plenty of seating. They had hot food, tons of delicious looking pastry's and baked goods. Espresso drinks, teas, even some wines and beers to choose from. Order at the counter and take a seat where you like and they call your name when your items are ready. I ordered an espresso and their English muffin breakfast sandwich. Didn't have to wait long. Coffee was delicious, exactly what I was looking for. The sandwich was even better. Soft, fluffy frittata, the delicata squash was yummy as well as the purée. Decent price too! Definitely recommend popping in and supporting this darling little cafe! read more

everything was absolutely flawless from start to finish. The sticky bun was the perfect balance of sweet and salty, with rich caramel notes and just the right touch of toasted pecans on top. It had that irresistible melt-in-your-mouth texture that makes you want to savor every bite. To pair with it, I ordered a vanilla latte with an extra shot, and it was brewed and delivered to perfection. The espresso was smooth and bold without being bitter, and the vanilla added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering. You can tell that real care went into making it, it tasted balanced, crafted, and intentional. On top of the food and drinks being excellent, the overall experience stood out. The presentation was thoughtful, everything arrived just right, and it felt like Marla SR really put pride into delivering quality. read more

Cute little coffee/ bakery that is located super close to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I was a little overwhelmed since I wanted to order everything but I ended up picking the following: crebblino, ham and cheese croissant, sour dough loaf, cheese and onion scone, cherry scones and a slice of the lemon meringue tart. Everything was tasty, except their scones. Unfortunately, those were way too dry for my liking. Service was fast and friendly! The next time when I am in the area, I'll definitely stop by! read more
Found a really cool spot for lunch in Santa Rosa. I got a salad, which was delicious, and also a blended iced coffee drink. I think I beat the lunch rush on a Friday since as I sat down, there was already a line to order. I sat inside, but there are also tables outside in a cute little couryard. read more

Stoped by here for a quick breakfast and it was such a cute spot! They had a wide array of beverages, pastries, and bread. I ended up getting a latte and the yogurt with granola and it was so tasty! Everything tasted fresh and felts to cozy. read more

Another gem in Railroad Square, truly the 'it' spot of Santa Rosa. Went opening weekend for a tasty treat and I'll happily make a habit out of this. The bagel came with a generous spread of cheese and pickled vegetables. The scone was the right amount of crumble and sweetness. The coffee perfect. Friendly environment and I love the white walls with gold accents; a very clean aesthetic. Nice selection of fresh goods to take with you. I really like the wine/beer/selection, too. The list has a lot of items that you'd struggle to find elsewhere - very hip. Oh and they serve mimosas! Love. Love. Love. Thanks for opening in the neighborhood! read more
