    New Ham & Cheese Sandwich
    Cherrie T.

I'm absolutely obsessed with the Pistachio Croissant filled with a generous amount of pistachio cream inside. The Yuzu Fizz was also refreshing and so beautiful under the sunlight I also really enjoyed the NEW Ham & Cheese Sandwich; it was debuting for the first time! All the flavours went so well together; I especially loved the dijon mayo. I really appreciate the croissant being not overly buttery like the ones I'm used to (感覺好膩). This sandwich was perfect; I could devour the whole thing, and I was craving for more The Chili Crab Luxe savoury, onigiri-looking croissant was super cute!! Unfortunately, the texture wasn't as flaky as I had imagined when I ate it on the spot. I guess you can ask the staff for reheat options if you want a crunchy/crispy outer layer. I would still want to come back again and try more items! The Asian flavours really hit the spot ;) ** There are small bar tables with high stools by the windows available for customers to dine-in; first come, first serve.

Croc Croissanterie is a hidden gem in Markham if you're into croissants with a modern, creative twist. It's one of those places where everything in the display case looks so good, you'll struggle to pick just one. I went with the Mango Pomelo croissant and the Pistachio croissant, and both were incredible. The Mango Pomelo was light, tropical, and refreshing--with a bright citrusy cream and juicy chunks of mango tucked inside a perfectly flaky shell. The Pistachio was rich and nutty with just the right amount of sweetness, plus a generous filling that didn't overpower the pastry itself. The shop has a clean, minimalist vibe and the service was friendly and fast. It's not cheap, but it's totally worth the treat.

This croissanterie delivers when it comes to quality and creativity. The crab pastry was the clear standout. It was savory, rich, and layered with flavor. I've never had anything quite like it, and it made for a great last bite. The pistachio pastry and ube coffee were decent. They didn't steal the show, but they were still enjoyable and added variety to the menu. Seating is very limited, and I didn't notice a bathroom, so the space feels more like a grab-and-go setup. If you're coming here strictly for the pastries, you're in for a treat. Just don't expect to hang out for too long.

The custard in the mango croissante is really good! It's flaky but tender. The only thing i'd say, there'd a bitterness on the peach after taste. Similar to the mango croissante, the pain au chocolat is also flaky! I think i'll have it warm though. The matcha latte is also good. I would try the matcha desert drink when I come back. This is tucked away in the first markham place. The cafe was tidy and spotless. I appreciated the menu items since it's not offering too many choices .

Cozy, small but clean cafe right behind FMP. It's on the same side as Cafe de Hong Kong so it's not easy to miss. The only problem is limited parking spots because a lot of them are reserved. It's quite annoying... Service was quick but drinks took awhile because there was only one barista. Ordered the following items for take out because there were only maybe 5 seats by the windows? HK style latte - Basically a bland version of the Spanish latte... nothing too special Matchamisu - Strong flavour with a honey puff pastry. Almost $10 (after tax) for a drink is pretty expensive. Pistachio croissant - Super crispy and flaky. Favourite one! Ube tart - Pretty unqiue but a little too sweet I'll most likely come back for the pastries only since the specialty drinks are way too expensive...

Heard a new croissant store in the area and had to come try it out. I got the special matcha drink which was good, but I wish there wasn't so much ice and a bit more foamy/creamy. The croissants look delicious, I got 3, tiramisu, yuzu and I forget the other one. The tiramisu was really good!

Cozy pickup spot of croissant based bakery goods. Service was friendly and fast. Several of the items were being restocked when I got in. There is currently a soft opening promo 10% off with cash. Buy 6pc for no tax. After returning home, I warmed up everything in the microwave for about 15-25 seconds. That might not have been ideal for the ones with filling as they all leaked out like lava and made quite a mess lol. The plain croissant - 4 stars Was soft and still flakey after being warmed, but I didn't get the rich buttery flavour I was expecting. The Pistachio and Pomelo Mango - 4 stars These two had some fillings which were a surprise, they ended up being very watery as I heated them up without knowing they had filling. Not overly sweet but they also didn't have a strong savoury buttery taste to balance the sweetness. They might have been better not warmed up, will have to try them again. Cros Dog - 2 stars Was just an odd combination in my opinion. The fusion of takoyaki sauce, hotdog, and croissant base just didn't cut it for me. The dog also kept falling off the croissant base which wasn't crispy or soft. It was pushed down and not flakey. The Chili Crab - 4.5 stars This tasted pretty good. It was shaped like an onigiri, had a mild-spicy crab mixture inside, and it was filled quite generously. The croissant egg tart - 10 stars It had a superb crispy flakey crunch and a mellow melt in your mouth custard filling. This was my favourite. Vietnamese coffee latte - 4 stars This was my husband's, and while he said the flavour is good and strong, there was no indication on the menu or by the staff that this was going to be an iced latte. It's end of November now, and he was expecting a hot beverage. This is the only reason for the drop to 4 stars for this. The ube mochi tart was also sold out and I wasn't able to try it today. Will be back to try it another time.

Venue 5/5 Very nice and cosy pastry shop right behind first Markham place. Not a lot of sitting area only four stools as this is a grab and go store. Free parking in the plaza, although it can be limited as there are a few Hong Kong style cafés, sharing the same plaza. Service 5/5 Staff are very knowledgable of the menu, including suggesting pastries to my friend based on his preferences. We went a little bit before closing and the team they were able to accommodate us and place our orders too. Food 4/5 I got an iced Matcha latte myself, and it had a biscuit in it while my friend got the purple drink with some pastries. I had a bite and it tasted very rich and flaky. I will definitely go back for more.

Cute little coffee shop in the plaza across from FMP. Interior is very welcoming and bright. They have all their available croissants on display and when you place your order, they retrieve the order from the kitchen in the back. Staff are very friendly and not overwhelming. They patiently wait while you look around and at the menu not hurrying you to order. Croissants look and taste amazing. It's on the pricier side so great for a special treat! Their drinks are refreshing as well, the Ube coffee I got was fantastic. Had enough ube flavour without overpowering the coffee.

IG-worthy croissant pastries that are almost too pretty to eat! This small cafe is located right behind First Markham Place shopping centre. I recommend getting here before the lunch rush because parking can get very tricky. I tried the mango pomelo pastry, filled with a light coconut cream and topped with mango cream & mango sauce in a little pipette. Not overly sweet, bursting with mango flavour, all in a flaky pastry. I wish that this cafe had plates and cutlery though because it was pretty hard to eat at their little window counter. In terms of the coffee drinks, I would pass on these, as I felt they were pretty expensive and didn't stand out in terms of aesthetic or flavour.

The staffs were friendly, pastry was shown in the front and after purchase they would get it from the kitchen. There are bar stools for u to sit and enjoy you pastry after purchase. I w the hojicha one had i wasnt able to finish it all at once kinda filling

This place has amazing pastries. I found this place because of yelps home page. While scrolling I happened onto this establishment and saw the reviews and more importantly the pictures. I decided to try it over the weekend. First off, the place was jumping, full of customers (that's always a good sign). But, the wait wasn't long. I chose 6 pastries because as the cashier said it would be no tax. It's like buying 5 pastries and getting one free. On to the review, I had a little bit of all the 6 pastries as I split them with my family WOWZA They were amazing and lived up onto the pics I saw. They were flaky and the cream inside was soft and delectable. They weren't too sweet and had just the right balance of tartness. Oh my, I will be back. My kids already asked when I will get them next. I'm thinking right away again tomorrow. A side note; it seems everybody was getting their drinks. I think that is a must try too. I can wait 5 stars all the way.

A small, charming café. Their croissants were perfectly light and just the right amount of sweet. We tried both a hot and cold drink--refreshing and totally hit the spot. Great recommendations from the staff for kur drinks. Friendly staff.

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

It's the kind of coffee you find yourself drinking the whole pot without even realizing it. The space inside is also a big plus. The front area displays various coffee beans and related products, and a whole wall of transparent glass allows you to see the roasting factory in operation behind it. And their product line is incredibly comprehensive: coffee beans, equipment, instant coffee, canned coffee, espresso, and even ice cream (The most complete I've ever seen) I didn't have time to try many beans today, but I'm already looking forward to the Lychee flavor I'll be ordering in a few weeks More suitable for coffee enthusiasts (especially pour-over lovers) Clean flavor with detail, not the overly pleasing type Perfect for sitting alone for a long time
