People like to complain that with a pass you don't get access to other areas that they don't control is dumb, it's like saying I paid for a McDonald's gift card and not a single burger king accepts that payment. These areas they try very hard to keep clean and safe and although I may not agree with everything done with these places they try and I love them for it. During extended dry periods the lake all but disapears but it's great when the lake is up a few feet.

Showers are quarter machine operated for water conservation purposes. $0.50 for 3 minutes. I splurged an extra quarter for 4.5min and due to tough and dirty Army training, I ended up enjoying a high pressure extra 2 minutes of pure watery delight. So if you can combat shower, you'll be just fine with 2 quarters. :) Wrote the top portion upon arrival at night. Taking a star due to how darn dirty the place was. Trash EVERYWHERE even though the site had 2 large barrel trash cans :( Stupid, dirty people. Pics attached. Wear shoes and be careful using the trails down to the water due to so much glass.

We hiked through the entire North Prong Trail which totaled about 7 miles and it was truly gorgeous. There were some difficult moments at points, but nothing I couldn't do. The weather was nice, there was plenty of parking to head into the trails, and I had a great time. The Canyons are absolutely stunning and mesmerizing know this is hidden away in Texas. Roaring Springs is truly a magical place that helped shape me into the adventurous, outgoing, and independent woman that I am today. Kids are able to be kids and are able to run free and explore all of the wonderful things Roaring Springs has to offer. You feel so safe and comfortable when you are here because all of the members know each other and are looking out for everyone else and their families. Jan and Gary are extraordinary people that work themselves to the bone to keep this place in top shape while being so kind and going out of their way for every person that walks in the door. The pool is a tropical paradise and provides endless hours of COLD fun for all ages. My husband and I don't even have children yet but love to go out there with friends to BBQ and have a few drinks by the pool. I am not much of a golfer but the greens are beautiful and they put sook much work into them. There is so much land to explore either by foot, bike, car, or my personal favorite, golf cart! This is where I learned to ride a bike, swim, dive off a diving board, and even drive. I have an endless number of wonderful memories about this place and I only hope to make many many more. If you are thinking of getting a membership here, don't think twice and just do it. There just aren't enough places like this left in the world.
