This used to be our fav rv park when heading thru TX to CO. Lots of shade. The first of July we stayed in a site and our A/C worked but not getting full 30 amp so blew the breaker when we tried running anything else. Came back thru the end of Sept and was assigned the same site. ( site 26 but all sites in the area probably have the same problem). They had done nothing to fix the issue. This time our A/C would not work. Others around us were running but no surge protector. We didn't want to plug in without ours. The guys finally came and tried several things but could not fix. And they didn't have any other sites so at 7 pm we had to find another place for the night. Got our $ back but had to find new place after very long drive day. read more

Stay away from this place. We booked an overnight stay after seeing good reviews on Yelp. I don't know how this could possibly have happened. They put us in the back section of a muddy undeveloped parking spot. We took our two dogs out and had to carry them back to the RV because they're little feet were full of cockleburs. they do not have hook ups available at the RV sites, as ours had a large extension hose ran from the adjoining site to furnish us with water. Stayed 3/23/24 - 3/30/24. Site 109. 33' travel trailer. The only reasons for not giving 5 stars are the speed bumps near the park entrance, and the condition of the paved roads through the park. The speed bumps are unnecessary and irritating. The road quality in the older part of the park, is not good (kinda of rough and narrow). Park is easy to find. The service road to the park isn't terribly smooth, but we've seen worse. Check in was a breeze. The office is quite nice. We initially reserved site 111, but the person in that spot had to extend their stay a few days, so we were put in 109 instead. Worked out better that way. Sites 100 and up are in the newest part of the park. Most have new huge cement slabs. All have picnic tables. The sites are very wide and there are at least two trees between each, though the trees are young and hadn't leafed out yet during our stay. The slabs are level and the utilities are great, with two dump stations in each site (toward back and toward front) so you should be able to reach one of them, or use both if your rig is that long. The Wi-fi was fantastic. We had zero issues with any of our electronic needs during our stay. Even the 70 mph gusts during the dust storm our second day didn't cause problems. Very happy to be close to a repeater. Being in site 109 put us that much closer to the laundry and showers. New building (coded entry) with a TV and couch to use while your laundry does it's thing. New machines that accept payment via credit card or phone app (so nice to monitor the progress of your laundry back in your trailer!). New showers (3) are roomy. Each has a built-in or fold-down seat and places to put your soap and shampoo, etc. One is handicapped friendly with an adjustable shower head that can be hand held or used on the wall. New toilets that conserve water. All rooms have a hand dryer. Rooms A & C don't have paper towels, but the handicapped room (B) does. All three have big vanities. **Note: Room B shower temp adjustment is the reverse of normal. When you turn it on, the hot water is what comes out first, so you barely have to turn the water on. There is a fairly busy airport north of the park, and you WILL hear the planes. You might hear the trains to the west. And the freeway noise to the east is always present, but it wasn't bothersome for us. Again, we've had worse. If you have kids and you're looking for a fun or cool place to eat and entertain, I suggest the Escondido Grill, and the 50th Street Caboose. Escondido is incredibly close to the park. It's in a park-like setting and has free-ranging ducks, geese and peacocks!! There's a pretty pond with a fountain outside the restaurant where there is outdoor dining, and a path to wander the property. Food is quite good (but avoid the spinach dip--very pedestrian). We recommend the Tennessee Hot Chicken! The 50th Street Caboose is at 50th and Slide Rd in town. It's got two bars (one of them is in a room with pool tables). You can eat in the pool room, in the "grown up" bar, or in Kid Heaven. There are games of all kinds: crane games, video games, motorcycle and car driving games, carnival games (like skeeball). The list goes on and on. Load up a card with money, put the card in the games you want to play. If you need groceries, we found the best store was Market Street on 50th at Indiana. Big, clean, great selection. I really would recommend staying at this RV park if you can get a spot in the sites numbered 100+. They're putting down new asphalt and adding more sites with concrete slabs as I write this (the noise of the work really was not bothersome at all). read more

We really liked this stop between Red River and Austin (July 2021). Nice mature trees shading the park. Nice little pool was awesome to take a dip in to escape the heat. Loved the shower area!! Very clean and big! We stayed in the clubhouse for a couple of hours just playing some games. Was a nice place and we have reservations to return on our way back up to Red River this year (2022). read more

Loved this RV Park! Very clean sites. Shade trees on most sites. They have pull-thru or back-in available. The rec room has books, movies, and games. Showers are updated and one of the best I've seen in a long time. Laundry is available ($1.75-wash 75¢-dry). The pool is clean and perfect for a swim after a long day. Most sites don't have grills, but there are a few that do. They have grills you can use that are behind the main office and next to the pool. Airport is across the highway, but you cannot hear airplanes or highway noise inside your camper. Several long term campers, but they are super nice and always offer a smile and wave from their clean and well-kept sites. Karen, in the office, is super sweet and welcomed us as if we'd been there a million times. I would highly recommend and have placed it on my list of RV parks to use should I come back through Lubbock. read more

Lubbock RV Park IS the best park in Lubbock. We have trees, grass (that everyone works hard to keep and keep green) swimming pool that gets cleaned every morning, the rec hall has laundry, and fully equipped, always pristine, restrooms! We relocated to Lubbock, and have been here 2 years, now waiting on our home to b built, and I can honestly say, that Ms Karen, Ms Jennifer, Ms Lee, Charlie, Donald, all the folks here, work tirelessly everyday to give us a nice, clean park. They have become like family, not only to me, but everyone here. Maybe a fly got in ur bathroom or it rained and got ur site muddy, or the internet modem isn't cooperating at the moment, all things that are moot compared to the lengths they go to to make this place awesome and I appreciate it greatly! read more

Let me start by saying that we avoid RV Parks if it all possible. I would rather Boondock to be stacked on top of each other. However, traveling in Texas in the heat with two small dogs, that is impossible. Having said that, this park was nothing like that. Every time we went into the very nice common area and restrooms someone was cleaning. Maintenance is being done all over the place every day. There are a lot of long-term guest, but they are very proud of their yards. (Yes, we had a yard--with mature trees for shade and privacy!). Everything was immaculate, and I would stay again in a heartbeat. read more

Lubbock was one of the places I wanted to visit as we travel across the US. I found a few good reviews of the Lubbock RV Park and decided to stay here. We stayed in Lubbock for three days. We arrived without reservations and they checked us in in only a few minutes. They gave us a nice spot in the back away from the highway. The spot had a large paved area where were able to setup our RV. This RV park had water, sewer, and electric hookups. The nightly price was very good, and the WiFi was spotty. I was unimpressed by the laundry facility; they should upgrade their machines. Although next to a busy highway, an airport, and a train line we slept very well during our stay. None of these produced enough noise to be a bother. Would I recommend this park? Absolutely. Would we come back? Absolutely. Informational: We travel in a 36' Class A RV. read more

This is a nice, shaded quiet place to stay. Perfect for transient or even longer peaceful stays. The pool is smallish but good enough if you want to take a dip. The concrete RV pad that you park on is large enough for the steps on and plus some. It was nice to come in the RV and not bring in dirt or grass, especially since it was raining. Apple TV worked perfect with a quick call to the number on the pamphlet given to you by the office. You have to give them your MAC number. No big deal. Plenty of grass for our large dog to sniff around and do his business. We would stay here again. read more

We have stayed at this park three times when we visited our grandson at Texas Tech University. It is easy to find and my 35FT 5th wheel had lots of parking space and enough for my F350. The park itself was very nice, with warm customer service. We recommend this park. We will definitely go back. read more

I made the reservation two days before arriving. We stayed two nights. The park is a mix of old and new sites. The older sites have fully grown shade trees and are very well shaded. We were out in a newer site that had smaller trees (at my request) so we could be closer to where we could walk the dogs. The electrical power is great. Even with the A/C running, we showed 120 volts on my meter. And considering it was 102F, I am sure everyone's A/C's were running full tilt. The office closes around 5:00 pm, but check in after that is easy. They leave an envelope with your name and site number. It also has wifi access codes in it. The wifi allows for streaming movies and we had no issues with speed. The office has some RV supplies, ice and a freezer with some ice cream products. The pool is heated at at 84F, so it is great after a long drive. The campground is clean and the sites have about 20 feet between them. Each site has a concrete pad to park on. There was no noise from the highway, and I only heard airplanes if I was outside my camper (the airport is across the interstate from the park). The airport is not a busy place. We had a couple helicopters fly over as well as a half dozen light aircraft. They have laundry facilities and showers (I think). All in all a nice place. The owner was very friendly and accommodating of my requests. We even stayed there again on the drive back home. Museums: windmill (didn't do that one), Lake Lubbock (free with indoor exhibits and a walking path to see others), Agricultural museum. If you are a vintage tractor guy, this is a GREAT place. Beautifully restored tractors by John Deere, Farmall, Ford and others. Farmhouse exhibits (butter churns....), Blacksmith exhibit. There are several tractors outside in their original paint. There is more to it that this, but I am a tractor guy, so that is what I remember most. Across the highway is the silent wings museum. It pays homage to the gliders if World War II. We did not visit that one either, but spoke to a few people who had, and they said it was well worth the time and effort. It is 5 minutes from the RV park. read more

We spent 3 nights at the park and found it very relaxing and enjoyable. The spaces are pull through so we had no problem parking our 30 foot 5th wheel. The lady at the desk was very friendly and provided us with information on where to go and things to do. We were told the park was being extended which will be great. The pool looked clean and refreshing but we did not get an opportunity to use it. You can bet the next trip to Lubbock we will return to the park. read more

This place was great!!! Quiet, clean, well maintained campground. Everyone was very friendly and the rec center was just what you need for your home away from home. The bathrooms were clean and very well maintained and the showers were private with your own locking door. The hot water never ran out. I'm so glad we stopped here! Ample shade, concrete pull through and easy comfort here. I use 30amp, and didn't see 50 but many coaches were here so I assume it's available. Sites have dump stations. Rates were reasonable about $30 with discount. Wifi is strong, however you have to jump through many pages on online logins and account/passwords/24 hour coupons just to long in. Really? Just give a password like everybody else and stop the madness of a long crazy login. read more

This is a great little park with beautiful large trees. It is about a ten minute drive from anything you might need. They have four full private baths which are very clean and roomy, clean laundry facilities with a large comfortable library to sit in while waiting for your clothes. They have a nice little pool. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our needs. We stayed in a 38' motorhome with a tow and had a fhu pull through. We would definitely stay here again. read more

We stopped have for the night after calling them for a reservation earlier in the day. Beautiful as you drive in and very basic after that. Pool was pretty small and their picnic tables are old and run-down. Many were broke and had only one bench. No grills as we could see but we brought our own. I call after check in to move to a different site and there was no problem. Wal-Mart Super Store was not far and they gave us directions. Lots of space in the back to walk and they had Doggie bags. We received a discount for being a 100% Disabled Veteran and they give military discounts as well as Good Sam Club discount. It was a good place to stop over night and inexpensive if you were to stay and tour Lubbock. We would stay again. read more

This park caters to the full time residents mainly. Their reviews of "great friendly service" were not our experience. We were pushed back into an area they have "under development" that is full of fire ant hills and not much more. We were told "no internet yet" in the sites beginning with #100 up... which was OK... however the area has no trees, no grass and was a muddy mess following the rain. There WERE other open sites at the end of their business day and having possibly less than 10 sites w/o full time home based campers they did not elect to move us. We moved ourself... And BTW... there were 2 open sites that would have accommodate our 40' coach when we left the next morning. The owners seem to live onsite... they did not return a voice message left at 5:15p (when they close at 5P) until the next morning 10:45am., by that time we had already moved, slept and moved on the next morning. We will pass this one by next time. read more
