The woman working the front was super sweet and the lady behind the cafe counter was too, their service was welcoming. As far as value I'd rather support local than the big store. Their prices are the norm but yes you can find majority of these books at big retailers for less. They both also gave a military discount even though I don't believe that is the norm for them but much appreciated. Overall great experience.

Blue Bunny Books is easily one of my favorite locations to walk to and hang out. They really have something for everyone here. My boyfriend, who is more of a tea than a coffee person, hasn't found any complaints when trying their drinks (and he may be as much of a drink critic as I am). If you have kids, Blue Bunny also does creative and fun events to engage and involve your little ones in some much-needed book-themed fun. With our family expecting our first baby, we're beyond thrilled to bring her over to Blue Bunny's events, no matter how old she is. Blue Bunny is such a staple to the Dedham community, and I will always enjoy going back for some yummy coffees and good books.

I said it was a hard book to find. She said it's popular and everyone loves it. Be sure to come back and tell us what you thought of it. We ended up walking thru the store and finding all kinds of interesting beads. One daughter came to me to show me these magnetic beads and my other daughter at the same time brought me a magnetic bracelet and we all looked at each other intrigued with the possibilities. We asked Lydia the owner about the bracelet and offered for us to make it in the store. Lydia took both girls ages 8 & 9 years old thru the steps and the girls spent an hour and a half or a little more figuring out the beads they wanted to use, pattern and colors and actually beading the wire. Lydia was great. Very passionate and knowledgeable. Overall we were there over 2 hours between walking the store and picking and making our bracelets. Now fast forward and we just celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday and all 14 girls enjoyed themselves. They can't wait to go to school and show off their bracelets! Lydia and her assistant Lynn were great. Overall it went well and the parents were raving at the quality and beauty of the girls bracelets. We will be back to learn how to make other bracelet styles. They lovingly packaged up the choices I selected after an hour was spent shopping and chatting. More Than Words is a nonprofit bookstore that sells new and used books while supporting young…read morepeople ages 16-24 who are system-involved, including youth from foster care, court-involved backgrounds, housing insecurity, and more. The young people help run the store, learn job skills, and work toward personal and career goals--and it truly shows in the care and pride behind the space. The shop itself is small but mighty. I walked out with four excellent-condition used books (three of which had already been on my TBR list) and somehow also added two cookbooks because... no regrets. Everything was very affordable, and it felt good knowing my purchase was directly supporting youth in the local community. If you're near one of their locations (I believe there's another in the Boston area), I highly recommend stopping in or checking out their online storefront.
