Hoping my review will change, but at this point it's only fair to let other potential patients know…read moremy frustration. Like most practices, everything seemed to be efficient and professional when we came for our initial consultation. However, the last visit resulted in a forty minute wait, which is unacceptable (at least to me). We currently have two children undergoing orthodontic treatment, so the amount of money being paid to CTO by us means if you're going to make me wait forty minutes past both of my children's appointment times, then you need to do a thorough examination of my kid's braces. Obviously that wasn't done because no more than an hour after leaving their office, my son's bracket fell off (eating rice). Of course, they were closed and not answering phones. Now we're sitting outside of their office waiting for them to open at 8:40, in spite of the fact that their advertised office hours are 7-12 on Fridays. I'm sure the annoyance is palpable in this review. Don't have your paying patients waiting excessive times because you're desperate to get more paying patients (a tech said the wait was due to walk-ins/new patients who bump scheduled patients). If you must make them wait, make up for it by properly checking the patient's appliances thoroughly so we don't have to come to get them fixed, only to wait for you to open whenever you get around to it.

Big surprise, her mind line was off and they left an overbite. Their solution was to put her back into braces to correct their mistake. I don't know about y'all, but tell a teenager she's going to have to pay for someone else's mistakes and watch the emotional breakdown. Had another child at the office. Back in June will took him for a second opinion. They were shocked teeth weren't pulled nor was he equipped with a piece of hardware he needed for expanding the teeth. We pulled him as a patient and he is currently getting the treatment he needs and requires. I could not recommend this place less.

My father is an orthodontist, so I knew I was going to be picky when it came to choosing an…read moreorthodontist for my three sons (unfortunately my father practices in another state). After meeting with several doctors in Waco, I chose Dr. Weathers and have been very pleased with my choice. Unlike many other orthodontic offices, where most of the work is done in assembly-line fashion by a bunch of assistants, Dr. Weathers is very hands-on and does almost everything himself. Although there is no big screen TV or cappuccino maker in the waiting room, Dr. Weathers' fees are very reasonable. His schedule runs on-time and his receptionist Laurie always does her best to accommodate us with after school appointments.

I have been an Orthodontic Assistant for eight years, and had the opportunity to work for a couple,…read moreincluding Dr. Weathers, and observe others through work-in interviews. I had my braces done by Dr. Nowlin, who is now retired, and if I had to be re-treated, or if my son were old enough for braces, then I would choose Dr. Weathers in a heartbeat. He is passionate about his work and it is evident in all aspects of his practice. He, not the assistants, works on his patients. That makes appointment times and length of treatment time shorter. Other places offer a treatment plan and full consult at the first appointment, but Dr. Weathers does not because he STUDIES each case. You are not offered a one-size-fits-all plan, rather x-rays are diagramed, casts are measured, and pictures are studied to give you a realistic expectation. You wouldn't want to be at the end of treatment and run into problems that could have possibly been revealed in that study. If you are investing time and money, then you would want time and detail given to your case. The staff treats you like family and always goes above and beyond. Appointments are offered at convenient times, and you will be in and out every time. The only down side is that they do not FILE insurance claims, BUT they do work with most plans and provide you with everything except postage for mailing the claim. Orthodontic benefits are not like basic benefits, in that you will very likely receive the maximum benefit regardless of being in- or out- of network. For example, if you have a $1000 orthodontic benefit with Metlife, they will likely pay that full amount with any Orthodontist you choose, not just someone in-network. Dr. Weathers has years of experience creating beautiful smiles and is highly recommended around town. Online reviews are a good start for information, but they aren't always reliable. Some places offer incentives for them, so people who aren't even patients can write them. Most orthodontists offer free consultations, so if you have the time, check with a few and compare. Hope this review has been helpful!
