If you have a chipped tooth do not see dr. Rich. I had a chipped tooth that needed fixed, which had been fixed 6 years before by another dentist. After Dr. Rich filled my chip in, it looked horrible, only lasted 1 week, and fell out while brushing my teeth, something completely unavoidable. He did a horrible job, and I'm sure he wasn't motivated to do a better job so that I would have to spend the money to get crowns. Thankfully the office refunded the price of the filling, but not the price of the exam. If you aren't competent enough to fix a basic problem, you should point your patient in the direction of someone who can. Unacceptable read more

I've been going to Lakewood Dental Trails for four months now. Dr Sura is a magician! She's super detail oriented which pleases me to no end. She has found tiny problems I was completely unaware of and fixed them before they became huge expensive problems. Win, win! In November I also started seeing Dr Brenner, the orthodontist who visits on Fridays. He has great vision and makes a plan to follow that vision through to make it reality. I'm only 2 months into a 24 month plan and check that out! So much progress. I had no idea my smile could change so much. I'm so excited to see what other changes he brings about in the next 22 months. Dr Sura and Dr Brenner are fantastic, skilled, and passionate professionals committed to their patients, but also extremely kind, funny, and caring people! They handled my 2 small kiddos so well when they came together for their first appointment. The office is easy to get to, 5 minutes from home in a beautiful area and the office was extremely clean and well maintained. My kids were impressed with the TV to watch while getting their teach cleaned. They give the kids coins to redeem for their toys out of toy machines and the toys were awesome! No insurance so I paid cash-over $17,000 in 2 years to repair 20 teeth with fillings and 8 crowns. Needed to use nitrous for severe claustrophobia due to being car jacked and raped. My fillings constantly fell out and dentist said they were under warranty and refilled them-some fell out after only 3 days! One crown that I had to wait 12 weeks for after they told me 4-6 weeks broke off-next to FRONT tooth. That permanent crown also popped off. The 3rd time he put in on May 26, 2024, the 3rd permanent crown on same tooth-constantly bleeds. I called them after I got a letter of dismissal to fix 4 fillings that popped out and look at the bleeding crown-but they said there is no warranty. I am currently meeting with the Texas State Board to see if I should seek legal action. During one lengthy procedure, they turned off the gas and I was in such acute pain-I began sobbing into my hands then they turned the gas back on. They went from $80 for nitrous in October to $113 in January. Anybody else work 2 jobs while taking care of a dying Alzheimer's mother and husband who had major open heart surgery? I have an incurable muscle/nerve disorder to live with. Then the dentist switched locations to Temple Dental Trails where I HAD to go-no choice whatsoever! The kicker-they had a song on the radio that was on when I was raped-I calmly asked them to change it or turn it off-they would NOT comply and I had to get out of there immediately and they had the nerve, the gall to dismiss me!?! read more

I moved here just before COVID and hadn't set up a dentist yet. When I had unbearable tooth pain right in the middle of the stay at home mandates, Lakewood Dental Trails were not only able to see me within a day, but facilitated two root canals (also within a day). They have been a godsend. Aside from aiding me with emergency services when I was technically not their patient, every staff member (office, billing, dentist, and hygienist) I came into contact with was helpful, courteous, and welcoming. This office is beautiful, clean, and relaxing. They have water or coffee while you wait and a really neat kid corner with iPads and a play kitchen. They offer neck pillows or warm scented towels or even a warm blanket during your visit. Everyone was really friendly and made me feel comfortable. I even had control of the Netflix remote for my personal TV during my cleaning. My kids are asking when they get to go back for their own visits :) read more

Up until yesterday I recommended this dental office to my family and friends. Yesterday I went with a capped wisdom tooth that was broken off causing an open nerve. When they got me in quickly, I just knew that I was going to get it taken care of. I was wrong. I was brought in and put into the chair and an x-ray taken of the broken tooth. The doctor come in and stood beside me and we decided that it would have to be removed. She said that she would make a call to another doctor and see if he would be able to do the procedure in the office or refer me to another provider. She left, not even looking in my mouth. I sat and waited for a few minutes in the chair, then the tech came in and said they were waiting for him to call back and they would call me, I could leave. So, OK?? I'm hesitant, but hopeful that something would be done to either remove the tooth or control the nerve pain I was experiencing. I left, went home and laid down waiting for a call that never happened. After two hours, I called the office back and was informed the the doctor still had not called back but here is a phone number to another provider for you to call and get an appointment, Oh...make sure to tell them it is #17 that needs to be removed, "I will fax over the referral for you." Because of the two hour delay and no one calling me back, it is now close to 5 pm and everything is closing. I am a registered nurse and have never been made to feel so disregarded. For a dental office that are all about the comfort of their patients with neck pillows, blankets, and scented towels, they really missed the mark on providing me with comfort from an open wisdom tooth nerve in a timely manner. read more

Based on reviews, my husband and I took our 16 month old to see Dr. Rich for her first ever dental appointment today. Upon entering his practice, we noted the beautiful decor. Very modern, minimalistic and clean. We were admittedly, a bit concerned that perhaps this was not a great place for our little one as there (with the exception of a small, tucked away play kitchen) was no sign of childlife to be had. Once we were checked in and paperwork completed, we waited for a few minutes to be called. We were greeted by our hygienist who promptly noted that Sidney was anxious and brought a stuffed crocodile with teeth to her. That certainly kept our little girl from her usual screaming at doctor's appointments. She was wonderful and worked with us to make Sidney comfortable and explained step by step what she would be doing and why. After a brief and mostly successful cleaning, we were introduced to Dr. Rich. Professional, gentle, patient, informative, we were extremely pleased with the level of care our Sidney received and so was she. Upon finishing the check up we were led to a row of token operated gumball/toy machines and Sidney was given presents to take home! Great visit and so relieved to have had such a great first experience! My husband and I will be booking our appointments soon! read more
