My car had a mysterious electrical problem that Cross Road Auto Repair was able to find and fix rather quickly and at a cost below what I was expecting. Two other shops had previously looked at my car and told me they Could not find anything wrong even though there Was a problem that kept causing the battery to have to be replaced after 2-3 days without driving. They also did a fantastic job on our nearly new Genesis and talked me out of paying for work that I thought I needed but didn't. Today I decided I wanted to take my car in for its yearly inspection. It was after 11:30am when I set out to try getting a car inspection. Thus when I called two different places both places said I would have to wait two hours. I didn't want to sit that long anywhere. After calling a third shop and being told one hour, I almost gave up for today. Instead of calling I actually went into another tire store and checked and again I would have had to wait 2 hours. I almost gave up until tomorrow until I drove by this car repair shop. I took a gamble and decided to go in. The man behind the counter greeted me, said yes, inspections are available, please sit. I asked him how long of a wait and he said as soon as my mechanic gets the keys he"ll start. I was pleasantly shocked and the inspection only took about 20 minutes. The store was very clean unlike some garage's waiting rooms. I'm thinking on bringing my car here to this shop in the future based on my pleasant experience today. read more

Amazing auto shop that cares! I rolled into this shop out of desperation. My check engine light had come on and all power to my car was gone. Shah quickly assessed my car, and fixed the problem. In addition, he didn't just fix it and throw me a bill. He showed me the problem, explaining why it was an issue along with the steps of how to fix it. I greatly appreciated the visual. Prices and wait time were very reasonable. Several days later I had another issue that was unrelated to the first. He quickly took care of the issue. It was minor. A hose had popped off. He would not accept payment for fixing the hose. I felt like he needed to be payed for his time. He still declined. It was that moment I realized he truly is in this business to help people. Everyone at the shop is kind and welcoming. We are thankful for the unexpected encounter, and will continue to use this shop in the future! read more

I was desperately looking for a place to take my German-engineered vehicle, a place I could trust. I'd previously taken my vehicle to another shop in the heart of Fredericksburg and the experience was HORRIBLE. However, after learning of Cross Road on Salem Run Blvd, I've now found my 1-stop shop. They do EVERYTHING. Shah is an automotive genius. His staff are very good too. The shop manager is courteous and efficient. From needing a tail light bulb replaced to oil change to major brake work...they do it all, and do it EXCEPTIONALLY. I just drove into the garage this morning and asked if they could fix my car. Not only did they take care of my car, they called me into the garage, and showed me step by step what had to be done, what they could do, and what they couldn't do today considering that it was the day before Christmas. When they were done, the price they gave me was so low at first I thought they were joking, then I realized that they were just a very affordable repair shop. I went to this place looking for an aftermarket alternator being put in my 2008 Jetta 2.5 and upon first glance this company fit my standards for pricing and the past reviews had set good standards. My experience however was the exact opposite of those reviews, the manager which runs the front desk (did not catch his name) wasn't the most friendly guy but everything was going gentle up to the point of which I got called to come to the shop to sort some things out about the car, with the mechanic. I arrive at the shop, the mechanic comes to get me and without any lick of how is your day etc., he starts bashing on me asking what he should do because the alternator is not an OEM part. The only difference from the two alternator was pulley size, and the harness connection which was the least of the problems and could be fixed in 2 seconds. At this point the guy named shah (mechanic) is visibly frustrated because he doesn't seem to know what to do and is asking me for a resolution all the while saying I am pissing him off with my suggestions. I then told the manager I am going to only talk with him since his employee is not within reasonable boundaries of a civil conversation. Long story short, I got yelled at by the mechanic for bringing this to him when he doesn't want to do it. I was never presented a resolution on how to get the new alternator in and ended up putting the original alternator back in the car. This whole process involved two full days, without a call it was going to take another day and a call that it was ready, I had to keep calling to get updates on the progress that was made. Over all this place took my money to take out and put back the original alternator which was not cheap and when the original agreement of payment was for putting in the new alternator. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. read more

Three guys are great! Professional, quick, and reasonably priced service. I was in a bind as I called them as I drove through town on a Saturday afternoon road trip. Although they were about to close, they took care of my car and fixed the problems in record time! (a caliper had stuck closed and ruined my rotors, necessitating a break job) .
