Very nice team. HOWEVER although they "check" your insurance they still do procedures like the "whole x-ray" etc that your insurance doesnt cover so they sock you for $400 or more. Talk to several others who had the same experience. They tell you they are going to bill it anyways but they already knew it was not covered. Very bad business practice. Also they want to cap everything and give you no options like lets fix the filling and lets do a deep cleaning on the one problem area instead of do the whole mouth and then come back every 3 months even when your insurance doesnt cover it. If I could leave zero stars, I would. For context, I am 29 years old, and I have grown up in a dental office being that my mom worked in the field for over 20 years. I have had regular cleanings my entire life and only recently had a gap in insurance coverage leading me to miss two appointments (about a year of no cleanings). I have never had a cavity nor have I ever been warned of gum disease or bone loss. I brush twice a day and floss regularly. I have excellent dental hygiene practices. I recently moved to the area and got insurance, so I go to this doctor and was "probed" and received a few "4s". At one point the doctor called out "4" and didn't even probe the gum. At the end of the exam, the doctor told the assistant to mark me for a "prophy" which is a standard cleaning. Then she said "hmm actually make it a gengival scaling" which is the deep cleaning to treat gum disease and costs my insurance $1000 and I would pay $400 out of pocket. When I refused and asked for a regular cleaning, they denied me that option so I left the appointment without a cleaning. This is a very common scam that dental practices do. I am familiar with these types of practices and will be getting a second opinion once they release my X-rays. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I had a check up and wanted my regular cleaning. I was told I had severe gum disease that would require a deep clean (over $600) and a root canal/crown. I am scheduled for hip replacement surgery soon and was told that I couldn't have that done with the amount of infection I had. (There is NO infection) The total in the services that said I needed was almost $2500. I went to another dentist and was told none of that was required. DO NOT go here. They are all about money and q time u go 4 months later for cleaning they always fine u need crowns, root canals or fillings. And if u grind ur teeth it's always the reason even though u have a night guard which doesn't seem to help. They always tell u u owe 1600.00 or 1700.00 and that's after ur insurance pays good These people are schemers and spend maybe 15 mins on cleanings and x ray way too much . I typically don't write reviews but after receiving my dental insurance bill, I saw the insurance fraud this dentist office committed. During my office visit, I only received a dental cleaning. There was no conversation about my dental health or 1 single X-ray. The dentist did the cleaning alone, without any assistance which made it extremely uncomfortable. My appointment was late in the day and I felt rushed, as if they wanted to get out of there soon. I left with the intention of finding a new dentist and brushed it off. Now I see they've claimed several X-Rays and a total of $1150 for my dental visit. RUN! This dental office requires you to pay upfront then refuses to refund any overpayment. They charge higher than Delta Dental's contracted rates and throw in services that are either not provided (e.g. fluoride) or are just junk (Brushing Instructions $95!) Numerous emails, phone calls and even a certified Demand Letter have been ignored by Blanca (office manager.) She has promised to research and call back on 2 separate occasions--never happened. Delta Dental confirmed we were over-charged. Complaints have been filed with Delta Dental's fraud and grievance departments along with Texas Department of Insurance. Also preparing legal action if Delta Dental or TDI can't resolve. Save yourself the headache and find a reputable, honest dental office. read more

I have called this office a few times trying to get prices for general cleanings. Not sure why this is such a hard question but not one person who ever answers the phone knows anything about pricing. Several times I've been told someone would call me back and no one ever does. Yesterday I was told again, that Rachel would call me back and that she is the only one who knows anything about pricing. Avoid this place at all cost! They will not do a basic clean for you and will up-charge you for things you don't need. They treated me so poorly and I waited an hour and a half after I got x rays before they told me unless I pay almost 400 dollars they will not clean my teeth. Called Friday morning in pain. They got me in Saturday (next day) - my dentist couldn't get me in until Tuesday. (She's coming back from maternity leave). I have SEVERE dental anxiety. So just walking into a new dentist has me feeling some type of way. I got here early to fill out paperwork. If you don't do the paperwork before (I never got the email promised for pre-registration) but they at least have a tablet so I don't have to write until my hand hurts too. I'm still nervous because of the mixed reviews. But you saw I said I'm DYING right. And my dentist isn't the gentlest. I'm still so nervous I feel like I might pee my pants. They have music and a TV in the waiting area as well as coffee (Keurig) and filtered water. It's also delicately decorated for Christmas right now. The male doc saw me and x-rays and said I need oral surgeon to extract. Had to wait a couple more days but saw the oral surgeon IN THE SAME OFFICE! I didn't have to travel anywhere. Dr. Igor (oral surgeon) and his assistant were AWESOME! I had a great experience. They did a great job and got me the right meds and aftercare items. I met Dr. Weldon while there and I really liked her demeanor. Bringing one of my kids back next week. High pressure sales? NOT AND they offer alllll kinds of finance options - even in-house so you don't pay an arm and a leg. HIGHLY recommend!!!! I'll update more when my kid is seen! read more

This dentist will try to upsell you on everything. They refused to clean my teeth (covered by insurance) until I got some deep cleaning which would cost several hundred dollars. I'm a student so obviously couldn't afford that. I went to another dentist and they cleaned my teeth with no issues or additional charges. This place told me I had some cavities but the other dentist told me I had fewer cavities. Don't go to this place unless you want to waste several hours of your life without getting anything done. read more

I'm SO glad I gave this place a shot. The reviews on here are sad and NOT AT ALL what I experienced in my visit. Every person I came in contact with was so nice and my dentist and hygienist are my new favorites!! It was the most thorough dentist I've ever been to. They did recommend things but only things that I 100% needed and they weren't pushy at all. I'm happy to say I'll be coming back regularly. I recently had two crowns placed by Dr Weldon. She did an amazing job!!! Both molars had old failing metallic fillings and were in very difficult lower jaw locations. (I was also told this by my previous dentist who avoided this restoration like the plague). I'm also a physician myself and have considerable anxiety when it comes to dental procedures. Dr Weldon was very personable and informative. She has excellent communication skills and I was immediately reassured. She also performed a deep cleaning and evaluation/treatment for mild gum disease (something my previous dentist never performed ). You can tell that Dr. Weldon is highly compassionate really cares about her patient's overall dental health. Her office staff were also extremely professional, organized and efficient. There was no wait time whatsoever! All her office staff were very nice and just as personable. She did an excellent job anesthetizing the area. I was very comfortable and never felt any discomfort during the restoration. I was highly impressed that she was able to evaluate me, perform X-rays, map out my crowns, cut and place the new crowns all in the same appointment!!! (At my previous dentist, this entire process would several weeks and involved a temporary crown..ughh). I also left her office WITHOUT feeling financially devastated :-) She carefully explained the work that needed to be done and we mapped out a plan to perform it in stages. I absolutely love it when a dental provider works within a patient's budget!! I would recommend Dr Weldon and her office to all family and friends!!!! I'm so happy to have her as my dentist. Terrible dr. She won't do a regular cleaning on my teeth unless i pay for the gum cleaning, $520. I have never gone to a dentist who refused to do the regular free cleaning that the insurance pays for. Email told me to arrive at 7:45 for my 8am appt, had a line of 5 people waiting at 7:45 with door locked as d they were all standing in the hallway chatting, didn't get to my room until 8:45, even tho i was the second one there , but last to be put in a room, and then did X-rays and pictures and i asked when they would start the cleaning and they said they won't do the cleaning unless i paid for the gum cleaning. I was there for 2.5 hours and got nothing done. Left at 10:30 and got my pictures and X-rays emailed to me so i could go somewhere else . Terrible service. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS! read more

The office is clean and bright and well managed. I like the fact that this practice has an oral surgeon as well as a dentist so a complete treatment plan can be created. Very sales driven, high pressure dentist. They'll write a huge work up for getting your teeth to perfect and then send in a billing guy to pressure you to sign a treatment plan while you're sitting in the dentist chair. They did this for both my wife and I on different visits. It seems to be their MO. Very pushy about getting you to agree to treatment. If you're looking for a check up and basic teeth cleaning, you'll get the third degree about all the other work you need. I've never experienced this ever. Also, the teeth cleaning they did was the shortest I've ever had, less than 30 minutes. We will be going elsewhere in the future. read more

I had a horrible experience at the dentist as a child so as an adult I was not the best at teeth cleaning. I noticed pain in a tooth and this place was recommended by my neighborhood. Very clean waiting room with wonderful staff. They listened to me and made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. When I checked out I even made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned! I give this place a 0, this Dr Janetta Weldon is being investigated for fraud, her current team members r working as well to up pricing beyond what UR insurance allows before u have to pay out of pocket! Dr Janetta Weldon kept stalling for the repairs that needed to be done for my dental work! She placed a tooth that was smaller than my original adult teeth and said she would replace it! I got a root canal and still Jan. 2021 its not sealed, never got my impressions back for which I paid over 300.00 for to see how my new so call crowns would look, she placed a composite over my two front teeth which came off as I bit into a tuna sandwich while on the way on a plane to the UK and had no way to get it fixed. So I could t smile or greet anyone w/o feeling self conscious! When I got home she kept stalling g while the teeth she was suppose to feel got worst! When I came to my last and final appointment 10/28/2020 her new office manager said I had to pay for water irrigation while getting my teeth cleaned and I told her that I wasn't paying for that because it should be included with the cleaning! This made her office manager Rachel Woods angry because I called my insurance company and they told me that wasn't correct. Trying to swindle 35.00 out of me and much more before! When u have services being done u expect honesty bit avoid this office at all cost! Dr. Janetta Weldon sent a next day Fed-Ex letter to tell me to find another dentist because I stood up too their treachery and didnt let them take advantage of me anymore, I can't trust anyone e anymore after my experience at this office! Great dentist and office! The staff is kind and attentive and great at what they do. I'm bad in pretty much every medical situation (for example I'll faint getting my flu shot), but everyone here put me at ease and took great care of me. Dr. Hasan explained everything clearly, did a thorough exam (she didn't just look at the x-rays and call it a day), and was so gentle! The office manager Richard worked with me and my insurance to get the best possible pricing and made sure I understood my treatment plan and my options. Last, but not least, the dental hygienist did a wonderful job on my cleaning. I'm thrilled to have found a dentist I can be happy to visit! read more

Very unprofessional! The dentist (Dr. Razvi) messed up the whole treatment and ended the visit with "I'm sorry, but that's the best I can do. I just don't want you to think I'm a crappy dentist" and then blamed the angle of my teeth as to why he couldn't do a better job. However, the next dentist I went to had no issues and corrected everything with no issues "with the angles" of my teeth. So now I really do believe that he was a crappy dentist. My family and I have had a horrible experience ever since Dr. Weldon became the new owner of Cross Roads Smiles Dentistry. I can see why the other dentists left. I had a filling put in and after the numbness wore off it was extremely painful to cold. I went back the next day and she said my tooth was cracked. She than questioned me if I grind my teeth when I sleep because she didn't want to take ownership that she cracked my tooth when she was drilling and put in a new filling. I knew at that point I was going to need a root canal. They wouldn't even help me find an Endodontist. My daughter needed veneers put on her teeth and a month went by and no one ever called about her veneers. Come to find out the office manager was so concerned about his wedding that he never documented our conversation so no one ordered the veneers. They put in temporary veneers and she had her teeth whitened and it became very painful so they had to run to Walmart to get additional supplies that was needed for sooth her gums. Wouldn't you think they would have that on hand? She was at the dentist office 7 hours just to whiten her teeth and print some temporary veneers that fell off 4 hours after they put them on. To top it off they reprinted veneers and made her wait another 2 hours to print and than told her they wouldn't stay on anyway so they never put them on so why make her wait 2 hours for nothing? The permanent veneers finally came in that was suppose to be rush and they assured her they would do a rush appointment for her. Because she wasn't available to come in on the day they requested due to her starting a new job they schedule her 2 weeks later and that was the best they can do. My daughter has been without veneers on her two front teeth and they shaved them to prep them so they look awkward. The front desk service sucks and very unprofessional and the dentist is so overwhelmed that you will sit there for hours as she runs between patients. I would never recommend this Crossroads Smiles Denistry. My family and I have switched Modern Dentistry in Denton which is their sister office. I really didn't want to give them 1 star but that is the only way I can submit a review. read more

I'm so angry I had to wait 2 days to make sure this really didn't happen! Let me first start by saying I'm an ER nurse dealing with COVID IN MY FACE since March. I showed up with my husband this past Saturday thinking much like our ER practice during a PANDEMIC that visitors should be sitting outside like we do in our ER.... but alas..... not was the case. Not only was I not allowed to sit in my car, as my husband was having minor oral surgery AND I showed up in my jammies at 0800 in the morning after having worked 12 hours in a dirty infested emergency dept and felt better not spreading potential infection amongst other patients by sitting in my car.... I then was publicly chastised in front of other visitors to the dentist office by "assistant" Tasha (or Tarsha, whomever)... I was told that "if I left the building, they would stop my husband's procedure and make him leave the building before he was done" all while smirking in my face! Like this was joke....I pride myself on patient safety as it's been crammed down my face in every manner and rule known to man since March! At no time was I ugly, derogatory or trying to break rules but treated none the less like a common criminal, simply because I choose to try and keep myself, my family and my community safe from unnecessary exposure.... that being said, as I sat for almost 3 hours in a waiting room no bigger than 2 times the size of a medium sized walk in closet.... heard no less than 3 times after our arrival a receptionist allow other families to sit in their DAMNED CAR!!! I was seething by this point but not wanting to be a jerk such as the manner I was treated kept my mouth shut.... but after hearing how my husband was treated after he got to the back area by the same dammed "assistant" Tasha.... I'm NOT letting this go! How dare you? If I had treated someone in my practice the way you treated us I would be written up and perhaps FIRED! How dare you?... I'm so glad that a co-worker of mine saw how upset we were over our treatment and subsequently canceled her own teeth cleaning. I will be contacting the office to complain, however, I will also say the Dentist was actually very sweet and lovely.... nevermind his shitty assistants.... also front office staff was very nice too..... in todays society ... peace, love and caring should reign supreme....I try EVERY DAY , even though the rules change every day. My husband said "Tasha.... if you don't like your job and want to treat people like trash, maybe you should find another one".... that made me sad read more

Very clean office with nice personable staff. I liked the way that they come to you with a computer instead of making you get up go to the front and review your options. Basically they found a cavity and wanted to fill it during that visit. I literally stayed in the chair and they brought all the info and release/ consent forms to me I signed in the chair and they got busy making a very short visit taking little time out of my day. I have been using this office for about a year and a half. Their service has always been slow. Today I arrived for my appoint early and they had not opened yet. I waited 10 minutes in my car and then went in. I signed in at the front desk and said I did not want x-rays today. The dental assistant called me back, she stopped at the x-ray area and I said I did not want x-rays today. She said she would talk to the Dr. I said the Dr. can't override my not wanting x-rays. She took me to a room. A few minutes later she came and took me to a different room. No one else was there, I was the only patient. I waited and waited and finally got up and asked what the wait was. She said the Dr. was not there. I said I would make another appointment. Suddenly she said the Dr. just arrived. I went back to the room and waited. The office manager came in and asked about the x-rays. I said I did not want them at this time. I would probably wait until next visit or next year. He then escorted me out of the room and told me I should find another dentist. I told him about the wait and that Dr. should be on time. He said the Dr. was there. I said the assistant said he wasn't. I said who is telling the truth? He again said I should find another dentist. Our conversation was cordial. Neither of us raised our voice. I just had a problem of them telling me I had to get x-rays and that the Dr. should be considerate of the patients time. read more
