First, it all seemed rushed. and some of the worst pain I've ever experienced from a professional. I say that as a Marine with multiple debilitating service-connected injuries. Since the procedure, my bite has NEVER been the same ( yes, I went back multiple times to fix it), and I developed a sore on my gums, which turned out to be a massive infection. I went to another doctor, having lost trust in this one, to which I was told I had a massive infection, a crack in the crown, and a PIECE OF TOOL stuck in my tooth. I have now been advised to have this tooth removed completely and get an implant. The new provider also mentioned they believed I didn't originally need the root canal at all. I went back to Miracle Smiles and retrieved my dental records, which I found a referral to have the piece of the tool removed. I WAS NEVER TOLD THIS BY THE DR. This oversight should and is being viewed as negligence. I came to this practice in a vulnerable time of need and got nothing but pain, rushed care, negligence, and now THOUSANDS more in bills to correct their mistakes. If you value your oral health and financial stability, avoid this place. Learn from my experience.

From the moment Stephanie greeted me at the door, I felt welcomed and at ease. Even something as small as having my favorite Liquid Death water stocked in the waiting room made a difference. The techs (I wish I could remember their names!) were so easy to talk to, it honestly made me forget why I was there in the first place. Once I got back, I was given a weighted blanket and a comfy neck pillow, and I even got to choose something to watch on the TV while I was laid back. At one point I joked that it felt like a pediatric dentist because it was so cozy, especially with the TV on the ceiling. Dr. Modkins took the time to explain everything clearly and never made me feel rushed, which is something I've experienced at larger chain offices. The nerd in me loved all the newer technology and the digital scanning of my teeth. I really appreciated being walked through all my options, including what she personally would do, without feeling pressured into anything. They also provided a full cost breakdown before starting, so there were no surprises at the end, which I really value. I went in for a broken permanent retainer removal and a cleaning after not having been to the dentist in 6 years due to anxiety. I was honestly very nervous, but I never once felt judged or shamed. They used AI on X-ray and told me I have 4 to 5 cavities and also told me I need to put crown on my front tooth. Fist of all, every hygienist that I worked with all said I have great dental hygene. I've kept it this way for the past 10 years. I found it hard to believe I have these many cavities when there's zero symptons. I do AI for work, and I know AI isn't 100% accurate. Dr. Iwobho gave me treatement plans without even analysing my tooth carefully. I told him I have sensitivity on the right side of my mouth. Usually a dentist will use coldness to test my teeth for liveness. But Dr. Iwobho didn't bother to do that. He asked me a few questions and told me my teeth might have been dead and I need a root canal. Secondly, all the dentists I have seen in the past have told me there's no need to put a crown on the front tooth beause, because it is not going to withstand much biting force. It seems this new dentist tries to talk me into doing something unecessary. Trusting AI at this point of time seems like a joke to me. I am going to look for a new dentist elsewhere. I also sent an email with screen shots of the amount taken out of my flexible spending account and asked the card be taken off file to prevent further billing. I called to follow up 2x in Feb and was told someone would call back. February 23, 2026 I was billed 811.26. I called and requested to speak to a supervisor but was told there was no one to speak to and a ticket was created. I feel I have been robbed. I am in a different state and have called several times. At this point the office owes me 1081.64.
